The insurance company made us take our car to another body shop in the area. Two days after we dropped it off, they more than doubled their initial estimate. I left D&J a voicemail at 4:30 on a Friday night to get a second opinion. He called me back within 15 minutes and explained all of my options better than the other shop and the car insurance company combined. Then, on Monday, once I had seen the car and taken pictures, he gave me a $100 solution to what the other company wanted $3300 for (and should have seen in the first estimate) and said another piece they claimed needed to be fixed was structurally sound. He offered to work with me to get secondhand parts to fit within my budget if I chose to salvage the car or drop the insurance claim- and I never paid him a dime for his services! I wish I would have taken our car to D&J instead of going through insurance and the other company. They are honest, communicative and truly have the customer's best interests in mind! read more

My vehicle was rear ended about two months ago. I contacted my insurance company to report a claim. They recommended I use Mike's Auto. I had my vehicle towed there that same night. I went the next day to get several belongings out of my vehicle. I spoke with Mike (owner) and asked him if my vehicle was totaled. (It was pretty close to being totaled). He laughed and said it was no where near being totaled, and it was only about 5,000 worth of damage. I used to work at a car dealership, I know how a body shop works. They don't want it to be totaled, no money in their pocket. I immediately called Bill's Auto Body and had my vehicle removed from Mike's and towed to Bill's. They did an estimate for 10,545.43. And it only needs to be 11,500 to be totaled. So YES, it was in fact very close to being totaled. Bill's were absolutely amazing to me! read more

I used New Bill's Autobody to perform a Maryland Safety Inspection on my vehicle. Sadly, I was not impressed with their service, and this is not due to the fact that my car failed the first round of inspection. It is because I was told and then confirmed that I had EITHER 1,000 miles OR 30 days to fix my car and have it reinspected. However, upon my return to DJ's I was told the complete opposite by the same person. Instead of being within the 1,000 mile OR 30 day limit, one actually needed to be between within 1,000 miles AND within 30 days. As a result, I am now expected to take off more time from work to wait the obligatory two hours to have my car reinspected after I was assured that I did not have to follow both rules in order to be within the grace period after a failed inspection. But what really broke the straw was that the certified mechanic started working on another vehicle and I had to wait until he finished even though I had an appointment for that time. I cannot speak to their handiwork when it comes to repairs, but I can say, based off of my own experience, that New Bill's cannot effectively speak to their clients, and have poor customer service. And in the end they have caused a lot of wasted time and money in the long run. read more

Got into a pretty nasty collision that required a lot more mechanical work vs. body work. They were great working with my insurance company (without having a contract with them) and it made the process much more bearable. They're very attentive and responsive so choosing to stay local really paid off for me. They even repainted my grill without it having any damage because it had a few chips in it from over the years. My car looks like nothing even happened to it. 5 stars! read more

Superb towing service by a wonderful group of people! After a traffic mishap on a cold, rainy night, Wayne and Beth expertly pulled my disabled vehicle out of a drainage ditch and towed it back to their facility. More importantly, they went above and beyond by allowing me to wait at their shop for my ride home to Pennsylvania, fed me while I waited until approximately 10PM, and waited patiently as I moved all my belongings from my disabled vehicle into my ride home. I truly felt like I was part of their family, and I can't thank them enough for the hospitality they showed me during a difficult evening. I highly recommend this outstanding company! read more

The quality of work that was performed on my Jeep was far from superior. They had removed several body parts mechanical parts from my Jeep in order to perform the repair that was needed. When I got the vehicle back I had heard a clunking noise coming from the area they were working in. Upon investigation I found several things that were not installed back on the vehicle correctly. Also found that they cut off all the plastic rivets that hold on my fender flare and inner fender well and never bothered to replace them. They just reinstalled the body pieces without all the hardware so they are just flopping around. They also left my rear mud flap dangling by one screw. Then to top it off the clunking noise I heard was that they left the bolt holding the rear control arm on loose. All the service writer Doug could say was that they had a different person put the Jeep back together. This is no excuse. Anyone with any mechanical abilities could determine what is correct or not. Avoid this Body shop at all costs. There is apparently no quality control going on here. read more

Brought my Audi here to have some body repair done. I don't like having other people's hands on my car as I do most mechanical work myself but body repair was well out of my resource capability. They did an great job, however, there was a problem with my passenger side door when I got it back; it wouldn't open from inside or out. I wasn't sure if they caused it but I took it back to them anyway. No questions asked, they looked at it and fixed it in a half hour or less. Overall, excellent service and quality work!!!
