The morning of, I received a call that my assigned therapist was out Ill, and one of the add-ons I wanted was not something the therapists working that day were able to do. They were kind to offer me another service if I'd like, or just skip it and try next time. I thought that was very kind for them to call me and inform me, rather than me finding out when I arrived. Also, they were very understanding and caring about my sensitivity to LED lights due to my brain injury and other conditions, and had the lights practically off when ai got there for my appointment, just to ensure I felt as comfortable as possible. The room was also very dimly lit as well. So very thoughtful and kind. All of the ladies were extremely kind and pleasant. Very welcoming. I truly felt appreciated for being there. I was listened to, and felt "heard". My therapist focused on what needed the most attention, and i think may have even put me to sleep a couple times. It was an absolutely incredible experience, and I'm so ready to go back. I'm telling you now, do NOT waste your money on those chain places like Massage envy or any of the others. When I walked in, the place was empty and they were able to assist me right away. It is a very bare-bones type of place. Clean, but a little worn feeling -- doesn't really feel like it is a brand new space. I didn't know what I wanted really -- just wanted some better shape to my brows, and they quickly sold me on the threading/lami/tint package for $60. Within moments, I am getting threaded (minimally uncomfortable -- maybe a bit more discomfort than waxing), then some perm-like chemicals are applied to my brows while I wait (they advised I would feel some stinging), then the tint, which took the least amount of time. I will say, I was nervous about how all of this would look. While waiting, the friendly technician chatted with me and explained that this was the third of a chain of brow studios they owned in the Austin area, dating back several years. When everything was complete, I have to admit, my eyebrows looked way more defined than ever before. They sent me home with a spooly and some styling wax. I was a bit conscious that maybe they were too noticeable on account of the darker tint. But actually, I have settled into them now and I think I would absolutely get this done again. Srijana gave her some tips, and the result was perfect! My eyebrows turned out thick, clean, and exactly how I wanted. They even left a couple of small spots untouched so the hair can grow in, and they can shape it better next time. Getting them refreshed is something I plan to do early next year. This office is clean, fun and very professional. There is a waiting list, so be patient. Brows were sore for a few weeks. If you sweat a lot, don't get them done in the summer. Fast forward to a few days ago and I won a teeth whitening and yes, same building, so how convenient. Happy to be back.
