We ordered the Mango Drop, Atomic Duck to wash down the roasted cauliflower, Loco Wings with hot honey, and beer cheese & pretzels to start. We love the downtown location and were stoked to see Bomb Shelter opening up in our Centennial Hills neighborhood. That said, I think we should have waited until some of the kinks were worked out. The food is phenomenal but we are huge on service and it was less than stellar. Though we sat at the bar, it was like we were invisible since we were not acknowledged unless we waived someone down. There were not enough of the QR code popups on the counter and due to the location of our seat at the end of the bar, how the menu boards are situated on the walls, and how quickly the view changes, we needed a physical menu. All that waiving people down made me feel like more of a nuisance than a guest. Our food and beers were mostly delicious (skip the side salad) but getting someone's attention to request ketchup or a second drink was unsuccessful. We decided to pack up and try again another time. We love supporting local spots and will give them grace since the downtown location is set up differently and the bartenders are not versed in customer service in the same way that servers in a restaurant would be. An additional thing to keep in mind is they cannot accommodate simple requests such as ordering a plain burger patty on the side to go. We tried and the bartender said she could not do that because there was not a button to do so. We thought this was strange since every local pub does this for us since we always bring a plain burger patty home for our dog. I'm so happy I checked out the new Able Baker Brewing Bomb Shelter location! I actually prefer this spot since it's right by my house, and the atmosphere is amazing. It feels even more inviting than the original location, and the staff here are incredibly kind and attentive. The food and beer selection are top-notch, and I already know we'll be regulars here. We used to drive out of the way to the Arts District, but now we don't have to! We especially love sitting at the bar and catching the FIFA World Cup on the giant TVs today. I also appreciate how Able Baker accommodates everyone's preferences with indoor seating, outdoor seating, bar seating, and table options.. it truly works for any occasion! For us, it was date night! A special shoutout to our bartender, Sharde who was absolutely wonderful. She went above and beyond for me. Since I'm pregnant and wanted to keep my husband company while he enjoyed a couple of beer flights, she kindly offered to make me a mocktail! That thoughtful gesture meant so much, and we absolutely adored her. Once baby arrives, I'll definitely be back for flights of my own! Portabella Mushroom Sando (with meat patty + fries): This was delicious and unbelievably cheesy. The mushroom and patty were cooked perfectly, and the crispy bacon added the perfect savory crunch. The fries were a great side as well. The overall environment here is so unique, it really does feel like a bomb shelter in the coolest way. We also had fun browsing all the merch since they had so many options. The blonde guy who checked us out for some merchandise was so friendly as well! He made such good conversations with us and helped me get more duckies for our collection. Second time coming here and it was pretty dead on a Monday night (as expected). Dine in area was completely empty. I wanna assume it was busier before I stopped in due to their happy hour deals. Ordered another flight of the beers that I love. Shockingly, I really enjoyed their Mexican Lager "El Pato Loco." I liked that citrusy taste that came with each sip of the beer. I was really excited for this location to open as I like their beer and we needed a place up in the NW that this should have checked the boxes for. Unfortunately the whole experience was average with the exception of our server, she was great! When we arrived there was a small wait, no big deal especially since it is new. The inside is great, cool murals, history of Nevada testing site, all fit the theme. Once we were sat we were greeted timely and water was brought over. The server was awesome and answers my wife's questions about allergies. We ordered kids pizza for my daughter, the buffalo wings, crispy spicy cauliflower, and the pork dip. The pork dip sandwich came out first, and the server warned the portion was slightly small. About 5 minutes later the wings came, a few minutes later the pizza, finally the appetizer of crispy cauliflower came out. The cauliflower was a wreck. Mushy, bland, no taste, and watery. The server was nice enough to take it back and remove it from our bill. While the pork sandwich came out first it was barely warm. The pork belly was white, but still rubbery. The dip it had was ok, enough to soften hard bread it was on. No punch from the Fresno chilis unfortunately. The wings were mediocre. Fatty not crispy fried sauce was average. Beers were good which was a saving grace. Overall kind of pricy for a kids meal, an app, and an entree at $65. Hiking this place improved. We came in Thursday night of the first week they were opened. It was bus but not packed. The food and beers were spot on. Our server was nice & attentive. However, she mentioned the kitchen was having some issues and to be patient. We were. Here's what went wrong: Our appetizer never came out (we weren't charged) My husband's burger came out about 5 mins before our beers and 10 mins before my food. We visited on Friday, with a party of two, for lunch and it was a good experience. We arrived at opening and were seated right away in a nice booth. The place got quite busy as lunch progressed. The waitress stopped by and took orders, their margaritas are very good. We went with the the Test Site Sampler and the Pork Belly Dip. The sampler was good, although the wings were not served hot. The Dip had very little meat and was all bread. The service was ok, it took a while for the food to come out. Also, I had to actually go up to the waitress' station to pay the bill. My last visit was reasonably good. My husband loved his pork belly dip and I thought the strawberry fields salad was very good especially with the nicely prepared salmon. The cinnamon bun dessert was also special and different. I came back with a small group of my friends. We ordered our beverages. My iced tea was forgotten. I was going to just forget it but someone at my table asked our server for it. Two people at my table ordered margaritas. The margaritas didn't arrive until sometime after our lunches arrived. Both ladies with the margaritas thought something was missing from theirs drinks. I noticed that the margaritas were very clear looking in appearance. Food wise the lady who got the tacos was the happiest with her meal so that was still very good. The ladies who ordered a salad and a pizza said just ok and would order something different next time. The two that ordered the pastrami were somewhat disappointed because this pastrami lacks the bountiful flavors that pastrami contains (juniper berry, coriander, allspice, bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, mustard, peppers, ginger garlic, onion, brown sugar etc.) What we got was very flat and also missing the pickled onions and maybe? contained a bit too much red Fresnos that packed maybe too much heat. The dijonnaise also was a bit weak and could pass as mayo. I would recommend to add more black pepper to the beef and just call this beef black pepper beef. Then people would be happy with it. Also the dijonnaise needs a little something. On the good side the fresh bun that my sandwich was on was very good and also the salad was fresh and very good. We were done and some of us needed take out boxes. Then we paid. I was surprised that our server didn't clear our plates. We sat and chatted a while. We got our order of chicken wings in time. Half lemon pepper and half gochujang honey. These were very good, the flavor was spot on, cooked perfectly. We enjoyed them. I ordered a pizza with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and olives while my wife ordered the hamburger. The pizza dough is made in house and to my surprise was delicious. Perfect crust, just the right amount of sauce, cheese and toppings. I will, without a doubt be ordering that again. My wife loved her hamburger. She gave me a taste and I'll admit, that's one of the better hamburgers I have had around here. She opted for a salad instead of fries and she had high praise for that too. I can't tell you how excited I was that Able Baker was coming to the Centennial area. After all - we are starved for more places, more options. This old location of Montana Meat Company was deserted for quite some time and finally, it was going to have a new occupant. As with any new place, it's going to get busy and I get the adjustments to a full capacity place. However, my experience comes from a time when it was 2:48pm on a weekday with only 4 tables occupied in the main dining area. If it were packed, I would understand that the team is working out the kinks. If it is slow, as it was when I was there, then the server should be quite attentive. My server was an older lady and interestingly, when I asked her if she ever visited the Downtown location, she said Never. To me, Able Baker has culture and a vibe, it should be highly encouraged if not required to at least visit the Downtown location to see what it's like. I was also in an odd in between time - 10 min before lunch specials ended and the start of Happy Hour at 3. The server comes by and explicitly states, "Just so you know, if you want to order a lunch special you'll need to do it before 3. I WILL COME BACK before 3 to double check." I thought, this is great very kind. What happened the next 15+ minutes? Absentee! The server walks around not doing much, hangs out at the front chit chatting with the hostess. I'm frustrated. If you say you'll come back before 3, please come back. It wasn't busy as I stated. So, what are you doing? I felt even more frustrated when I just saw her hanging out with the hostess. We had dinner here during on a Saturday night. I made a reservation that morning. The staff was friendly and seated me right when I showed up, even though I was 15 minutes early. There is indoor and outdoor seating, the outdoor seating has water misters. I tried two of the ciders on tap. I ordered the strawberry salad and added chicken. The salad was delicious, the chicken was cooked perfectly. Our server was attentive and didn't mind splitting our check. The ambiance was fun sports bar, it's a great place to watch a game! read more

My wife and I love the Able Baker location in the Arts District, so we were excited to try the new Centennial Hills location. We visited about five days after opening, so we completely understand that there will be some growing pains and operational adjustments to work through. The restaurant was very busy with both lunch customers and people stopping in for a beer. The biggest issue we noticed was the ordering process on the bar side. Anyone sitting on the patio, at the bar, or at the bar-top tables is required to order at the bar, but there were no signs, floor markings, or clear directions explaining where to go. Bartenders and servers also weren't consistently directing customers. We actually found ourselves helping people figure out where to order while sitting at the bar. At one point, the ordering line was about ten people deep. They'll likely need to adjust staffing and workflow to better handle busy periods. My wife had a great idea: hang a large aircraft bomb from the ceiling directly above the ordering station with a sign telling guests to order there. Another fun idea would be to put duck footprints on the floor leading customers to the ordering area so staff can simply tell guests to "follow the duck prints." Another major issue was inventory. They were out of several menu items and ingredients during lunch service. We couldn't order a salad because they were out of strawberries, and later they ran out of fries as well. As for the food, it was okay but not memorable. I ordered the Bomb Burger. It was juicy, but it lacked flavor. The house salad was disappointing as well. It was very small for a $12 salad (see photo). The drinks, however, were very good, just as we've come to expect from Able Baker. We also think there's an opportunity to lean even further into the atomic-themed atmosphere. A video wall designed to look like a bunker window showing historic mushroom cloud footage could be a unique feature. Maybe some duck footprints on the ground walking to the location where you're supposed to order your beers from servers bartenders could tell the patrons to follow the duck prints Decorative bombs hanging from the ceiling or a large mushroom cloud mural could also add to the overall experience and make the space feel more distinctive. Overall, this location has a lot of potential. It's clear they're still working through the challenges that come with opening a new restaurant, and we're looking forward to coming back in a few months to see how things have improved. read more

I dined for the first time at Able Baker Brewing in Centennial Hills on June 27, 2026. It was on a Saturday afternoon at around 4 p.m. and it was quite full and very loud. I wasn't crazy about the menu. It's OK for a lunch spot but it's not much for a dinner place. I had a hot pastrami sandwich, which was good but not great. The portion was very generous for sure but it didn't have a ton of flavor. My companion ordered a burger cooked rare. She got it back medium well and said it was just OK. We both got french fries with our meals and the french fries were legit great. They serve soft drinks and water in disposable plastic cups, which wasn't all that great. The desserts were excellent. I got the brioche cinammon roll and it was large and quite tasty. My companion ordered the Bomb Shelter Sundae, which was huge and came with both a cookie and a brown. She reported it was very good. For drinks, I had diet soda and my companion had a glass of chardonnary. With tip, our bill was $98. I didn't hate it but I wouldn't make a point of going there again. read more

The first time, I got this amazing trio of appetizers with hand breaded chicken tenders, perfectly crispy sauced wings, and french fries. My husband had the strawberry field salad with chicken and it was divine. The beers? Sooo delicious. Our second trip I was craving more of an entree, but they've trimmed several of the entrees off of the menu. They also removed that appetizer trio. While I was disappointed, I understand the need to condense your menu, especially when it's a new restaurant. It was happy hour so my husband and I opted to have the pizza deal which was $25 for a good size pizza that could feed two and two beers. I was not in the mood for pizza and also reluctant to order pizza at a brewery. Let me tell you, that pizza was delicious! The cheese pull was epic and the flavor was spot on. The pepperoni was perfection and the crust was amazing, not too doughy, not too thick/thin, perfect for us. My husband and I both agreed the pizza was as good as some of the upper end pizza restaurants we go to here, if not better. We also ordered the strawberry field salad on the side to share and it was also tasty and well prepared. Thank you for two fantastic lunches and of course fantastic Able Baker beers to wash them down with. As some other reviewers have mentioned it is a bit pricey, but the quality of the food certainly makes up for that. Making food from scratch or by hand in-house is definitely noticeable here. They need to hire more staff. Period. Waited outside 40min in the blazing hot sun, and no waitress even acknowledged us. It's WAAAAAY too hot out, and WAAAAY too busy and there was only 1 waitress outside?? Was looking forward to some ice cold beer, but ended up leaving because we almost died of thirst in the 110 degree weather. Stick to the OG location until they get their staffing figured out. Went here last Sunday! For Father's Day! I was excited to try it out since we go to the Arts District location all the time and my husband loves it.. when I saw their instagram post about the BBQ Father's Day special I was even MORE excited!!!! When we got there at 11:30am we did have to wait about 30-45 mins which was okay... I was expecting a wait since it was a special day... once we sat the server told us that the BBQ special was now 1/2 off because they weren't able to deliver the quality of what was advertised so they omitted the jalapeño cheddar sausage (bummer!!) and the cornbread!!!! The 2 main reasons why I was excited to try the special... oh well.. we ended up ordering it anyway.. it came with 1/2 a rack of ribs, some slices of bread... looked like baguette... not sure. A serving of coleslaw and a serving of mac and cheese... The best and most decent part of the platter was the mac and cheese, honestly I feel they should've just taken the whole thing off the menu... the ribs were extremely disappointing, they were tough like beef jerky and tasted like they were made a couple days before and just say there to dry up in the smoker... absolutely terrible... the cole slaw was mediocre as well they did serve a regular smoked sausage I believe which was also very chewy and overcooked.. but was edible... I am by no means a picky eater and understand when a new business opens theres a trial and error phase, but being that this is not their first location I definitely expected way more.. at least decent edible food.. it honestly pains me to give a bad review but the fact that it was Father's Day and this was the experience we had... was super sad... I think in the future I could give this location another chance.. we'll see, for now we will stick to the Art's District one where we always get good service and consistently good food no matter the day!! read more

So incredibly happy that Able Baker is now up here in Centennial Hills. Ever since I found out that Able Baker was coming to Centennial Hills I have been ecstatic. While I know nothing can compare to the downtown location (be still my heart), this establishment makes for a perfect place to go and enjoy food, beer and good service. I've been here a couple of times now and each time I come I have an amazing time. The food is delicious (the lemon ricotta pizza and the crispy cauliflower are my favorite items), the beer is on fire (Mango Drop and Nevada State Flower are on my flight order Everytime) and the staff is just so welcoming and on top of it even though they get pretty busy. This place is definitely worth the drive if you aren't up in the area. Word of advice - be sure to get the crispy cauliflower. They sell out of it quite frequently for a good reason. read more
