We stopped by Hop Nuts on a Saturday afternoon. From the moment we walked in, Marcos (the bartender) made us feel right at home. He greeted us immediately with a friendly vibe and offered us beer samples to help us find something we'd enjoy. He gave us great recommendations and even introduced us to a beer passport (something we had never heard of before but thought was super cool!) It was my homies birthday, and Marcos went above and beyond to make sure he got the right drink. He hooked us up with popcorn and served up our beer flights with care. It was not crowded inside (maybe less than 10 people at the time). The ambience was good (music wasn't too loud so you could have a conversation without yelling). As we wrapped up our Saturday night bar crawl at the Arts District, Hop Nuts Brewing was the fourth and final brewery that we visited. Unlike the rest of the breweries we visited along Main Street during our bar crawl, Hop Nuts Brewing was not busy at all and is a lot darker, dim, and quieter. This brewery is located next door to Makers & Finders and has lots of patio seating. We ordered a flight and it consisted of the following beers: golden ale, golden knight, stout, sour daddy, and 7 years. Personally I liked the golden ale and the golden knight. My boyfriend said that the stout tasted a lot like Guinness. The sour daddy was a good one too, it had a very sour fruity feel to it. Hop Nuts was a great brewery to end our night with. Came here after lunch at Esther's to keep the beer train going! Probably because it was the middle of a random weekday afternoon, the place was pretty empty and there was only one bartender working. Wide selection of beers. Chill on the patio if it's not too hot, though I opted for the air conditioned indoor seating. The beer was great, and the bartender gave excellent IPA recommendations. Here it is, brewery #185 for me. I'm rapidly closing in on 200 unique brewery visits. This was the first of three breweries in Las Vegas in an afternoon, the nice part was all three were within walking distance. Well, along with...three breweries in one afternoon! Hop Nuts had just opened when we arrived and only a couple of people were within the very good sized interior. We chose flights and sat on the patio to watch the People of Vegas walk by. Yes, it's like the "People of WalMart" but with beer. Now I have to apologize because I normally review the beers as I drink them but on this day I didn't. We were with friends we used to see 1-2 times a week and now we live 1,000 miles away from them. So in short I was paying more attention to the people in my life then a review on Yelp. Hey, I kind of have a life... So with that said I'm just going to hit the highlights. Chasing Clouds NEIPA was actually quite good. I do enjoy a NEIPA. When I ordered, The Wetter The Better, I winked at the wife and she just rolled her eyes at me. I think she might have caught the innuendo. This was a decent beer but honestly I just ordered it because of the name. The Harry Porter on Nitro was tasty. Nitro makes a good beer even better but certainly won't cover for a poorly brewed beer. This one was good and I would have gone with a second one, but we had more breweries to explore. Hop Nuts had good beers and the location was good as well. Great patio, which I expect is rocking on a weekend evening. I haven't been to Vegas in three years (thanks, Covid). One nice addition since the last time I was here is the emergence of several breweries in the arts district. Hop Nuts is worth the trip! I had a pint of the Golden Knight, a Belgian Style strong golden ale. Its slightly sweet finish is a refreshing treat on a hot desert day. I also sampled the Raspberry Truffle Stout, which would have been my choice if it weren't 100 degrees outside. The bartender was welcoming and the vibe is chill. Hop Nuts is a terrific local brewery. It's located away from the hustle in the Arts District. This is one of the lower key bars you'll find around here. It has a pretty good variety in the drafts. The pricing is very fair. I met someone here and we both enjoyed it. It's not a large place. Large groups aren't good here, at least inside where there's only so many seats at the bar, along with a few tables. It has a good happy hour. It's only $4 a full pour. for a Most of the beers are in the middle of the ABV range. Among the lighter ones is the Golden Ale. This is a blonde ale. It's very light and smooth. The Golden Knight is a Belgian ale. This of course is best paired with a hockey game. For something more powerful try the Green Mamba. It's a double IPA. This is not my thing because I hate hoppy beer, but if for some reason you do then get this. Great happy hour. It's kind of small inside. They share a bathroom with Makers and Finders and you can use it to move between these. read more

We ordered a Chasing Clouds NE IPA ($8) and a Green Mamba Double IPA HH ($6). The beer was almost as good as Able Bakers, but much more expensive even with happy hour prices. Let me tell you a little about IPAs!!! This place was great. Came in on a Sunday morning this past weekend as soon as they opened. We asked for a stout or a porter lmao. The person working that morning was ammmaaaaazing. I walked in knowing nothing about IPAs, walked out with a good idea about my IPA preferences. Who knew there were so many spa's out there. One for everyone. We had a couple of tasters and some beers, had an amazing chat with the employee then left, bit not before buying another 4 pack to go. I will recommend to everyone!! read more

Great little local bar and happened to be leaving Main and turned the corner over here to the car and parked in front of here. Did not even realize that it was a bar when parked here? It was like the car is on the same wave length as me?! So not making the car feel bad decided to check out and was so impressed! The staff was very friendly and pleasant. Great local little bar that know there stuff about beer. The bartender was excellent at educating me the patron about their brews and the local ones they offer . Decided to take the sample that was offered and it was incredible but still have to drive home so just opted for something with less of a bunch since I have been drinking prior to checking this place out. I didn't expect to get as hammered as I did here. Hop Nuts is a local brewery in the Arts District. My friend and I walked over last night after checking out a new bar about a block away and decided to go for some flights (samplers). The flights are $12.99 for 5 different beers by Hop Nuts, i.e. not applicable to guest beers, but what we didn't know is that they do 6 oz pours rather than the usual 4 or 5 oz. An extra 10 oz of 7-9% ABV beer is pretty much a serving, so we definitely enjoyed ourselves. There were a variety of beers on tap, but printed menus and empty chalkboard slots hinted that they were lacking several of their normal selections. That said, I did enjoy the majority of the beers which I had, although only one of those truly stood out. In descending order, my preferences are Omnisicent Imperial Stout, Bine Climb Imperial IPA, Hopathon IPA, Harry Porter, 18b Pale Ale, and The Golden Knight Belgian Strong Ale. All were relatively typical examples of their styles, so I'll spare the descriptions on this review. I will consider returning to Hop Nuts next time I'm in the area, perhaps next time for the $4 full pours during daily happy hour, 4-7pm. I can't really go through with the 5 stars because if I had to pick a favorite local brewery, they wouldn't be quite in the mix, and I don't rank any of the local brewers as high as my favorites from other states. read more

My bf and I decided to explore the arts district and I am so glad we did. We found this awesome brewery and spent a few hours just hanging out and trying the different beers. We went during the day and it wasn't busy and were able to just sit at the bar , we had a great time. In this area, Hop Nuts seems like a decent place to stop and grab a beer from a wide selection, but on your way to the next spot. The options seem fairly wide, but when asked for some info on profiles other than what was posted, the bartender didn't seem to have much to offer. Similarly, the interior seems half finished with a bunch of wasted space. It's like Hop Nuts is just getting started and is hoping on the brewery tour buses to bring in the customers. In town for a conference, and my brewer brother and his wife joined me for the week. I finally got part of an evening off, so we headed up to the Arts District to try some local brews. It's a standard brew pub that offers a decent selection of beers. Green Mamba Double IPA was really tasty - loved the hops load. The Just a pHaze IPA was a little too astringent for our tastes. It was really quiet - three or four locals, a table of visitors, and us. Overall a nice time was had by all. And some decent to really good beer.
