I love this brewery. From the food to the beers.I will try to visit this brewery whenever I return to Vegas. I had visited this past December. The service was great as well. I love how they give you a rubber duck with each flight. I had asked the gentleman serving the beers if they had any non Christmas related ducks and he took the time search one for me that had a beanie and a scarf, this seems insignificant and silly but I appreciated him trying to find me another duck and shows the level of service they have to honor such a small random request. Love their t shirts. My husband purchased one with the atomic duck on it. Al beers were great the only one that I wasn't fond of was the stout but that just my preference. Right on Main St in the Art District is Able Baker Brewing. The place was packed on a Saturday night. Friendly crowd and the NBA Playoffs were on one of many monitors inside. The device was great. I asked for recommendations and the cashier was very knowledgeable of the beers. I ended up with the blonde and it did not disappoint. This is a great local spot right off the strip. Loved the ambience, relaxed and comfortable. Staff very helpful in selecting type of beer as well as offering samples. Food is way above par for a brewery. Selection and quality of the food from the in house Arts District Kitchen is outstanding. Wife and I shared a Cobb salad and a tasty pastrami sandwich...need to go back to try more from the menu! Parking can be a challenge because of it's location in the Arts District but going early and on weekdays minimizes that. My only downer is that their beers and especially Atomic Duck are not available outside of Nevada...bummer for us Cali people...oh well maybe in the future we'll see it on our shelves! This was a truly unexpected find in Las Vegas. A huge selection of beers and everything I tasted was great. The Coconut Kiloton was an especially nice find as was the well balanced Atomic Duck. Nice hazies, stouts, barley wine, Belgians, sours, and IPAs (even a root beer). Food was quick and tasty - had enchilada fries, quesadilla, and a Cobb salad. Staff was super friendly and they had Sunday night football on TV but it didn't feel like a sports bar. I love love love Able Baker Brewing! It's one of the best-kept secrets in all of Las Vegas, and it's one of the only reasons I ever venture downtown. It has a cool vibe and GREAT beers, and a nifty rubber ducky theme (you even get a small souvenir ducky with certain items). I'm not even a big beer fan but I love their dark beers. I've never had one I didn't love. They also make a killer nitro brew coffee that is among the best in the world. I usually get one when I stop by. I suggest first-timers get the sampler tray to try some of ABB's best offerings. They make special holiday beers that sell out fast and if you're lucky enough, you can sometimes get a growler-to-go. They serve food but it's not that great. Come here for the BEER. It's a self-service type of place. Walk inside, turn left and head to the bar. Order your beer, pay, and carry it back to any open table. There's a nice outdoor patio for people watching and plenty of communal picnic table style seating indoors. Bear with me for a bit... San Diego is a microbeer mecca. Able Baker is as close to San Diego-quality microbrew as it gets. That's a high compliment. Plus, the added bonus of the Vegas climate and with an excellent outdoor area and a wide open inside seating area that couldn't have been designed better. Their offerings, as a 20+-year San Diegan (no apologies if you find this arrogant) are top mark. Solid regular offerings that skate the Cold War-ish arms race of hoppyness that has infected many of my favorite SD haunts, as well as a laudable and regular seleone-offs of barrel-aged specials and choices of special brews (chosen by their regulars (the 'Trinity Guild'). Some misses, some hits, but always solid efforts. Big fan of this place. Parking in the newly gentrifying 'Arts District' can be a problem, so park at the Strat and Uber for $10. Bar service is generally excellent (BTW, they serve a full cocktail bar option if any in your party aren't into microbrew). Very good, though not inexpensive, food options as well. Highly recommended, especially for San Diegan beer snobs that want to escape the Hoppy War and enjoy a very well made microbrew in Sin City away from the Strip prices and the Fremont Street grossness. This place is the 'Gaslamp' 10 years ago (as it should have been, but wasn't quite). Worth the trip away from your chosen megaresort. read more

Able Baker is one of the Arts District breweries. It so far is my favorite of these around here. Lots of beers on tap. Check out the list now because it's pretty overwhelming and you might be looking it over for a few minutes. There's also the Arts District Kitchen inside which has street food like fries and stuff. I came recently with the girl to check out some of the good stuff going on here with the beer. It has about the largest draft listing. There's so many to choose from that it could take a few weeks to try all of these. All types of beer. They have IPAs but also saisons. Flagship beer is the Atomic Duck IPA. It's $6 for a pint. This is pretty hoppy but not too much, and has notes of citrus, pine, and tropical fruit for a complex taste. Also they have food. There's a counter you order at, and they bring it to you. Get the Kennebec Fries. It's $5 for a good size portion. These go good with any beer and give you something to munch on so you can pace yourself. Can't drink too fast. They also have things like sandwiches if you get hungrier. Best of the downtown breweries. It has an unmatched draft list. The food is another reason to check it out. read more

I liked the personality of this place too -- it was cool to experience Las Vegas off the Strip, and the little ducks that come with flights were a cute touch. The shrimp tacos and Buffalo chicken sandwich were tasty, and I was a big fan of the blonde beers! There was a Chardonnay-aged ale that was super interesting and enjoyable (believe it's #29). First things first, I came in to this bar as I usually do trying to order some drinks. There was a younger looking asian girl behind the bar who took our ID's. Upon inspecting our ID's, she said she needed to confirm they were real with her manager. Mind you, im 23 years old and I have personally never had an issue with my ID. The manager said they didnt feel comfortable taking my ID. I asked the manager to scan it and they said there were unable to and didnt have that type of technology to verify it. Overall, I have been going to this bar for a year. I have never had any issues with my real ID looking suspicious. I spoke to the gentleman who said he was an assistant manager since he had looked at my friends ID and okayed it asking what made my ID "fake" looking. He said it was the reflective film missing, mind you I have a new real nevada ID and my friends do too. We all have the same type of identification cards, im clearly just confused and personally believe they should be more educated on the newer IDs the dmv is distributing and that not all IDs look the same. The asian girl behind the bar looked younger than me, if not she looked my age im sure we have the same TYPE of ID. Im just upset because It was a special occasion we were celebrating and nobody was of help. Overall bad service and wasnt willing to try and handle the situation. Please train your employees on what newer IDs look like. --- You can reach out to me personally to address how I was trolling and harassing your team members. More and more breweries are popping up around Vegas, and that's not a bad thing. We checked this one out during a Yelp event, and we're excited to go. We were greeted by Travis, very friendly! We ended up getting 2 flights of samplers as the have a lot to choose from. We didn't end up finishing them all, but had a great time trying! As with most breweries, they have a lot of options. Here is a rundown of our faves, with the menu number and a little note: #12 Atomic Duck, a little citrusy ipa #7 Impaled Ale, a hint of chocolate #27 Blam Blam, tart like a sweet tart #3 K Ration, slight chocolate #26 Seventy Five Training Day, smooth... Fave #6 Viva the King, choc PB and Banana also fave You get four samples per flight. The others weren't for us. They also have a small wine and mixed drink list of beer isn't your thing. The atmosphere of the place is one of the High points. It's very large and open, with the brewing equipment in the room with you. There are multiple tv's for watching games or whatever is on. Benches and chairs for seating, as well as a patio area that sits out on Main Street. It's in the Arts District of downtown, so there is a really cool vibe with lots of murals on the buildings. The service was also great. There were three guys working the counter (Travis, Spencer, and Ben). All were super helpful and friendly. We look forward to going back. Good brewery/tap room with a small walk up kitchen located on North Main Street in downtown Las Vegas. Service at the bar side is good, you walk up and order from a very large chalkboard with 20 something different beers to choose from for your drinking pleasure. The kitchen side is also very good with a nice sized menu for this type of establishment. The burgers were very good as were the tacos and wings. Inside is very large with several long picnic tables as well as a decent sized patio in the front. UPDATE 2/20/22: Returned to Able Baker for our first brewery stop on our Saturday night bar crawl at the Arts District, which was part of my birthday weekend. Our Lyft driver dropped us off at the entrance and we made our way inside. It was busy but there were a few open tables all around. We decided to sit on their patio, since it wasn't too chilly outside. We got a flight and as always, a rubber ducky with it. I let my boyfriend keep this rubber ducky since I got one myself during my last visit here. Our flight consisted of the following beers: Training Day (my all time favorite), Cauldron Girl with Mango, Atomic Duck, and Double Barrel Dubbel. I posted a picture of the flight on my Instagram page and Able Baker liked my photo! This is my favorite spot to relax with friends when you want to do some day drinking when the weather is nice. Able Baker has the best beer garden in town. The seating is first come, first serve with communal hightop and low-top tables inside and outside. People circulate through, so you may have to stand for a little before you can find a spot, but one always seems to open up pretty quickly. The beer list is extensive, but a standout for me is the Our-Cha-Ta. They serve it with a caramel and cinnamon rim. They also have a menu filled with inventive versions of classic bar food. I love the hangover fries (which I recommend eating with a fork because they're so substantial) and the pork belly tacos (grab some extra napkins because they are super juicy).
