I have heard bad things about Bonanza but I was willing to brave this area to try their beer and I am glad that I did. There are lots of parking stalls and a nice area to hangout outside with outdoor games. There are lots of places to have a seat at, which is cool. I was a bit overwhelmed with 28 beers listed that I did not know where to start. I honestly wish they were paired up by their type: Lager, Sour Ales, etc. And honestly, one star knocked off because I let the bartender know that this was my very first time here and I asked them for their most popular beers and got an unfriendly "Well it's hard to tell, everything sells different." Like ok, I get that but also there are 28 beers listed! You could have made up like 4 beers on that list to give me or even asked me what kind of beers that I like to be pointed in the right direction. That part was probably the most frustrating and why it took me 15 minutes to decide what to order because I needed to READ over 28 beers. I guess I am just so used to other brewery bartenders being helpful here in Vegas that this encounter turned me off. Besides that, my friends and I really enjoyed our time here. My one friend that doesn't drink beer loved all of her pastry/sour ales. I can agree that all of these stole the show. There was not a single bad one that I have tried so I would recommend all of them. Ok so this place...off the beaten path and at first I felt like I was headed to a location to be an extra in the show walking dead. Don't be scared the parking and bar itself is safely located AND the beer is worth every sip! The bar itself is rather large and there's a decent amount of seating at the bar or high tables around. Wait staff are knowledgeable and friendly. There is a wide variety of beers and custom beers that sound rather odd you will not find anywhere else. It might not be on Las Vegas boulevard but it's not too far from the Arts District and it's worth your time for a visit. 28 tap handles, coolers full of cans and bottles for onsite consumption or to go and kick ass merchandise. There's lots of seating outside and inside and sometimes they open the back brewery area for special events and bands. Our second visit here, large and fabulous selection of brews plus a few ciders and wine. Nice indoor and dog-friendly outdoor shaded seating. Free plentiful parking, nice merch, everything is well maintained, and staff is knowledgeable. The vibe is casual and not fast paced. The availability of food isn't guaranteed, either, to set expectations. We've also been to the Boulder City location. Stop in to either location for a brew or two. You won't be disappointed. Stopped into this Beer Zombie brewery cuz my guy loves his beer. Its on the outskirts of downtown Las Vegas, not too far out in an industrial area. Nice bartender gal offered me several tasters, until I settled on the #20 Tenya Creek El Charro Mexican lager, NOT a fan of a strong finish, this one was smooth and crispy, a pretty good Mexican lager. My guy ordered #14 Beer Zombie Duck hunter. West Coast, not as hoppy, more on the bitter taste, smooth no floral ending, crispy dry beer. Brewery is a good size.No food until later when they have a food truck. They do sell a variety of pretzels for a snack. Nice ambiance, good music playing we came in at 1pmish, so few people. My favorite place in the neighborhood. They still have some of the old Tenaya Creek beers, or course Beer Zombie and rotating food trucks. The space is pretty large with both indoor and outdoor seating. The bartenders are usually engaging and accommodating. They also usually provide some pretty solid suggestions. It's also great to watch sports games on their multiple tv's and projector screen. Definitely ask the bartender for recommendations, as we tried so many different beers that were fantastic. Located in Bonanza right outside the arts district, this is one of the most innovative breweries in town if you like fruited or sour beers. They offer a wide variety of rotating taps including the two I got. My favorite was the mojito lemonade, which gave the vibes and was super refreshing. There is limited parking. Previously, this was Tenaya Creek Brewery, before being sold to Beer Zombies in December 2023. There are 29 beers on tap, mostly comprised of Beer Zombies and Tenaya Creek beers. The three guest taps that they have currently are from Angry Chair in Tampa, Florida; 3 Floyds in Munster, Indiana; and Relentless in Temecula, California. For my most recent visit, I enjoyed smaller servings of four different beers. All were good, but I especially liked the Pillar of Beasts barleywine from 3 Floyds. Along with the beers, I enjoyed some sushi from the Sushito food truck parked outside. Off the beaten path, the vibe here is mellow with a diverse patronage. It is not a gaming tavern, so there are no video poker machines on the bar, and no cigarette smoking. There is a large selection of refrigerated beer to go. There is a nice outdoor seating area on artificial turf, for when the weather permits, where cornhole can be played. The bartender was friendly and attentive during my visit. read more
