Spent all day looking for a dentist that would take my Insurance as I had an insanely bad tooth, causing extreme pain and I am the biggest wimp in the world. Every phone call I made or was given from 9 AM up until 3 PM was no goes all the way around until somebody finally referred Able Dental. They not only took my insurance but took me right in and was beyond gentle and it didn't hurt as bad as I thought it was going to because of the prior pain. I like it so much. I'm even going back today for something else that's been bothering me another tooth. The people in the office every single one of them are amazing and kind and understanding and considerate for us wimpy people. Highly highly highly recommend don't let the outside of the building detour you. As it's in an old neighborhood and an old building but inside looks twice the size of what it is on the outside and is very clean and organized. I first went to Able Dental over 20 years ago, and was always very satisfied. Hadn't been there for about 10 years and decided to go there for extractions and a full lower denture. There are several shops around me but I was willing to drive about 75 miles (one way) to Able, because I trusted Michael's professionalism. Unfortunately, I only saw him months after the work was done on me, and didn't know things had changed. That was a big mistake. What I got, was butchered by an EX VA dentist. Several extractions, no cleanup of bone, and a dime-sized open wound on the gums, no stitches and a chunk of jaw busted off. How bad was it? When the assistant told me how long it would take to heal, I thought she was joking because I'd had similar scope of work done before. But the look in her eyes told me I was in trouble..and I was. So bad, that after 50 days of healing they offered to reopen me, and clean up the mess for free. That's ok if you're doing drywall..but a freebie redo on flesh takes some healing, Again!? No thanks. Could have gotten less trauma for half the price, 5 miles from home. The staff is nice, they were understanding..but someone should have warned me I was about to be operated on by a VA flunky. The technicians are great, but understandably couldn't fudge over bad dentistry to make an appliance that works. It's been 5 months, and I'm still gumming it. I'll deal with it. As a side note, the little vanity mirror they give you to use was so dirty, I cleaned it when no one was looking. Next time I was back, it was so dirty and sticky..looked like a toddler had played with it with gooey fingers. It's sad to see Michael let things go so slack. Such is life. I went in to get the Invisalign process started and to schedule another appointment. I was given a price that I signed off on and paid over half up front but when I got the receipt I noticed the remaining balance was LESS than I was quoted meaning I still owed more than they said. I pointed this out to the receptionist who checked me out but didn't understand what I was saying. The other receptionists in the area were scrambling to put together what was wrong with my receipt when Dr. Moscato said my receipt was fine and that I was good to go. I left then got a rude call from the receptionist about 30 minutes later asking if I knew how much I owed. I read off what was on the receipt I was given and she continued to argue with me about the balance saying it was $500 more then said she would have the office manager call me when I was understandably unresponsive to the attitude she was giving me. Jillian, the office manager, called me shortly after saying she was told I had questions about my balance. I never said I had questions since I was the one who received the initial harassing phone call about my balance after I had left the office. She then proceeded to argue with me about the balance owed stated on my receipt that Dr. Moscato had approved before I left. Her rudeness and horrible attitude was not appropriate for any office manager, especially when it was her employee who made a mistake. Jillian hung up on me in the middle of my sentence shouting "You can just come back in and I can issue you a full refund! Have a GREAT day!" full of sarcasm. I IMMEDIATELY called back and got the same receptionist saying Jillian was 1) not around, 2) at lunch, and 3) had left the building, all within the 10 seconds she had HUNG UP ON ME after she spent a majority of the conversation shouting over me. I am still awaiting my refund as I refuse to give this business my hard earned money as should everyone else. The discrepancy in the amount owed could have been forgiven and I would've happily paid the higher amount had the staff at Able Dental Care not been so impossibly rude to me. I had planned to pay upwards of $6000 to their business in the next 2-3 weeks but because Jillian and the incompetent receptionist displayed such unprofessionalism, I am going to tell my story and give my feedback on my horrendous experience at Able Dental Care wherever possible. read more

They have so far been a great dental company to go through... I got a root canal done last week there by Doctor Kuch and he did an amazing job! Gave me enough numbing agency so I didn't feel it. My tooth which is a back molar tooth, looks so much better now, but more importantly it FEELS much much better now as well. I plan on going to get much more work through 'Able Dental"... There is no effort here to up-sell you on the latest equipment or gimmicks. They are there to make you comfortable and take care of your dental health. I recently changed offices because my dentist sold his office to a person who was telling me I needed all kinds of expensive procedures - once she took over the office. No thanks. Tiffany, who does the cleaning, has 19 years of experience and a heart of gold. She made me laugh and kept me relaxed. The dentist looked at my x-rays and teeth and said all is good. By first glance you wouldn't think this place is great, but as soon as you walk in that all changes. The staff is super nice and friendly but the dentist omg rude asf. He walked by while I was getting X-rays and I smile at him, he looked at me like shit. & then when he comes in the room for exam he doesn't even announce himself just comes in put gloves on and stick his fingers in my mouth. I should've bit him. Lol. But he literally was in my mouth for 5 seconds and said can't do it she needs a referral and walked out. Even as dentist you need bed side manners especially if you are being compensated generously for your time. At least be friendly and greet patients. I hated this place and the place they referred me to didn't even take my insurance. lol. The lack of care and concern was super obvious. Don't be scared of what the outside looks like. First time patient and I needed an extraction done. I was super nervous but the super friendly staff eased my nerves. I also have no dental insurance but for a consult, exam, x rays, and extraction was only $175. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a great dentist. read more

awful dentist dr. brian or the dentist that works on friday and every other saturdays, did x-rays and said there were no cavities and he shaved down her k9 and gave her a shot, saying the k9 hits the tooth she needed a root canal on.we later found out while in a four day stay in the hospital. because right there where he gave her a few shots at was where he infected the area.he later did the same to me and said the same thing. i was going to make another appt. when i seen my daughter crying still saying that area is hurting more.. i asked the dr. please give her antibiotics shes in pain,he said in a day or 2 she will fell better. she was in the hospital for four days. Dr. Muscato is a master in his proffesion! I was originally scheduled for a consultation to have 15 teeth extracted and dentures (which were previously made) placed into my mouth. I fore warned the Dr. that I've had extreme anxiety related to dental procedures prior to this appointment and have been told by several previous dentists that my teeth were too brittle to extract without surgery. Dr. Muscato took one x-ray, sat me down in the chair and began to numb my gums. Next he injected local anesthetic throughout my entire mouth and approximately 15 minutes later, I walked out with no pain, no anxiety, and a brand new smile. My wife and parents came to the appointment with me and left just as amazed and impressed as I was that day. The cost of the visit was considerably lower than I would have ever assumed after being privy to both the skill and finesse which were shown to me while Dr. Muscato performed a miracle in my mouth. I left, with my fear of dentists greatly reduced, a brand new smile, self confidence which I thought had been lost long ago and uncontrollable tears of happiness streaming down my smiling face! I would recommend Dr. Muscato to anyone regardless of their initial misgivings or fears surrounding dental work. I am so happy to have finally found Abel Dentistry and Dr Muscato and all his fine workers. It seems like almost every year I was looking for a new dentist because I was not happy with all the previous dentists I had been to since I moved to Arizona in the 1980's. I didn't feel any of them had my best interests at heart and looked at me like a dollar bill sitting in the chair and how much they could make. And how appaling it was when I had Tiffany his excellent hygentist clean my teeth and she told me the debris under the gumline had been there much longer than a year since I had my teeth cleaned at a Scottsdale dentist. You could see it on the xrays it was so bad. But when I went here, I felt like they genuinely wanted to help me. The last places I had been give me a lecture how I should have done this or that years ago. I feel bad enough dealing with problem teeth I have spent a fortune on over the years trying to save. How is that helping me? I use to feel like crying after leaving some of those other places they were so unhelpful and negative. Instead Dr Muscato said, "every problem has a solution," and I knew at last I found the right place. He is very talented and dedicated to his work and concentrates on what he's doing and doesn't sit over you chit chatting and making jokes with his assistants which only annoys me because I feel like they aren't paying close attention. He also did a little magic with bonding on my crooked lower teeth and now they almost look straight. Every other place I went they said they couldn't do anything for that so I didn't even bother to ask him and didn't need to because he is very intuitive as well. He was also able to line up my bite which no one has ever done either. And speaking of dental assistants. His employees seem to be a lot more knowledgeable and thorough than what I had encountered in the past also. Abel also has modern equipment including a 3D xray machine. The front office girls are all friendly, kind and compassionate too. And unless you need an appliance or something that has to be custom made, they don't set up a zillion appointments and make you run back and forth which I know I am not the only one who hates that. I get the feeling they will do as much of your work in one day as possible if you can stand it. And Abel will even take walk in's which is difficult to find. Who wants to wait several days to get help when you're ready to drive your car into a wall your mouth is in so much pain. No guilt trips or lectures, just good honest dentistry and though no such thing as cheap dental work, they also have the best prices I have encountered too. Go there. You won't be sorry. My only regret is it took so many years to find them. Sorry for the novel, but I know I would have two more teeth I lost getting metal partials. I would likely still have because Dr. Muscato would have given me Valplast partials like I should have had in the first place. Right after the last place prepared my teeth for metal partials, we are talking tons of grinding and two new crowns, my molar was loose and achy and the dentist denied it and pretended the tooth was fine and said I needed 3 root canals and that was the source of the pain. but said, "that crown is doing fine." I looked up an oral surgeon and went there and he took a 3D Xray and said sorry yes the tooth was indeed loose in the socket and had to go and even worse I also had infected a salivary gland and no I didn't need any root canal. And the other tooth never stopped hurting and I kept being told it would calm down and I ultimately had to have that one yanked too. I can't praise this place enough. Due to a doggy denture disaster I was forced to seek immediate dental services. I found Able Dental Care just by luck not connivence they were 45min. away but they were friendly on the phone and had an onsite lab. After the embarrassment of the whole situation Moises ( my hero) made me feel relaxed and confident that everything would be good...He was friendly, caring and made sure I received the best service! I am completely unhappy with the service I have received for my son at Abel dental. About 4 to 6 months ago he had a tooth pain and are normal dentist was not open. Able dental was recommended by a family member. So we went in and found out my son needed a root canal. So we had the root canal done. They did a mold of his tooth so that they could get a cap made. I assumed I would get a call in a week or so to bring him back to have the cap put on. I didn't and I actually totally forgot about it until about a month or so later when I received a text message from them for his normal cleaning. I immediately called and asked them about the cap and they said oh yeah bring him in tomorrow will have it and will put it in and give him a cleaning. Then they called me back like 2 hours later and said they could not find the cap and made me make an appointment for the following week. Come to find out that I guess the mold to the cap was broken at the lab and they never bothered to remake it or let me know about it. So they called me and told me to bring my son back in to have another mold done, which I did. I was told this apt would only take about 15 or 20 minutes. After about an hour it was finally done. They told me they would put a rush on it and come back in 2 days to have it put on and get his cleaning. So today was his apt to have that done. I called in the am because I needed to know how long this apt would take as I do work and they are quite far from me. They told me it would take me 45 minutes to an hour and then approximately 20 minutes after that phone call I got a text message to confirm my sons appointment. I then showed up at the office at his apt time only to find out they still did not have the cap back from the lab. I was not happy and asked why they did not tell me that when I called. We do not live close and I have now missed 2 days of work. They could not answer. They said they could clean him today. My son did not want to sit there today and then again on Monday so he asked if we could just get cleaning and cap put in on Monday. They Said no as they don't have anyone to clean him Monday. This was totally unacceptable. I will have to go back Monday to get the cap but will never return after that. Absolutely unacceptable! read more

Dr. Muscato is awesome! I'm a big baby when it comes to the dentist. I don't trust them. I feel as if they over play things so they can get more money out of you. I also hate the smell of the dental tools used. Now, I also am from California and I've only seen one dentist my whole life and I trust her. Well obviously it's a far drive for me to get dental work. My husband and his family have come and seen Dr. Muscato for years and they said he was really great. I was very skeptical but after having a dental emergency I had to give him a try and I am so glad that I did. I walked in at 9am and was in so much pain, they got me in immediately and the process was so quick. Once he figured out what I needed he made me feel at ease and didn't make it about the money. I loved how he treated me like a person in pain and not a dollar sign. I will be going to him for future dental needs and I'll be bringing my daughter. I was scheduled as a new patient and they were able to get me in the date I wanted which was helpful as I have a difficult work schedule. The building is very old and not well kept up, not a very nice/safe feeling location. When I showed up for my 9:00 appointment there was one woman working, a dental hygienist who was unfamiliar with the front desk role and nobody else had shown up yet for the day-- including no dentist! And to top it all off we were asked to wait as there was currently no electricity. Needless to day, we did not wait and will certainly be taking our business elsewhere! read more

I made a appointment over the phone .i showed up on time to find the door locked with 3 other people standing there waiting, after about 10minutes the doors were opened and we were let in I gave my I.d. And insurance card after a 20minute wait I was took to the back were I took xrays and explained that I had two broken teeth and wanted them pulled because I wasn't able to eat anymore I had one broken on each side it was fine and I was lead to a chair were everything was prepared to began after another long wait I was given a paper saying I needed root canal and 2fillings I also had to pay 375$out of pocket before I left I said I had insurance and that it was coverd.they said it wasn't an emergency and I wasn't in Enough pain yet and they only took my insurance if it was a emergency. Once they new I had no money in cash on me or a way to pay they got me up n out of there immediately.im still in pain and in shock I highly recommend anyone to go anywhere except here dont go threw what I did.
