If I could leave zero stars, I would. This is a completely unprofessional business. I ordered a piece of frosted glass over a week ago. The glass was supposed to be ready a few days after I placed the order. No one would return my phone after I left multiple messages. I went to the store to pick up my glass, which should've been ready five days ago, and all of my information was written down in front of them. I have never encountered such a rude, obnoxious and unprofessional business owner. Their employee ruined my crate and barrel wood table when removing the old glass - which I purchased from them. When I called to discuss it, the owner denied it. Luckily I had before and after photos but that didn't matter, he still demanded payment in full and took no ownership. Hired to make about 13 screens for our home. First, supposedly, the item that was ordered was incorrect. Then we were told that the correct item is on backorder. Ok - what can you do, right? Except once the materials came in, we were told they would be completed in a few days. That turned into about two weeks. And the quality is terrible. At least half of the screens are either bowed, or too short. The owner kept on telling us to be patient. We were patient - for over 5 weeks we were patient. But then after spending over $1,000 I get really sub-par screens. And he is telling us that he shouldn't take on screen requests anymore because they are such a hassle. Thanks. My experience: I asked for an estimate for a low iron glass table top which I got a $735 estimate for (on email). I then asked for a revised estimate (via email) with tempered glass. Scott came back to me with a revised estimate of $860 with NOTHING CHANGING (and an extra $125 for tempered, making the total $985). When I asked him why he tacked on an extra $125 on the original estimate (which did not include tempered glass), he started throwing random darts on why I don't need tempered glass on a dining table. Upon getting reminded that the concern was not whether or not I need tempered glass but how his estimate on UNTEMPERED glass changed from $735 to $860 within a week, he said "he had make a mistake" on the original estimate, while reminding me defiantly how long he has been in business. Anyway, at this point, I decided it was time to hang up the phone. If anyone is still wondering, it was not the estimate (which was not unreasonable to be honest) but his utter lack of credibility which I refused to deal with. read more

I hired Able Glass & Mirror to mirror my walls for my new home gym. This was the most unprofessional company that I ever worked with. The corking was uneven and messy. The framing around the mirror was bent and uneven. The mirror didn't lie correctly on my wall. There were dents and scuff marks all over my newly sheet rocked and painted walls. When the owner rudely came into my house to look, he made excuses and actually didn't take fault. He sent his men to fix all the issues four times! It still isn't great. DO NOT use this company. Unfortunately, we took the recommendation of our general contractor & got burned by Able Glass & Mirror owner, Scott Kuenzel. Kuenzel is a slick hustler in the worst way and knows nothing about the installation of frameless shower enclosures. He is dishonest and will sell you by showing you beautiful pictures, but has no idea how to measure for or install a frameless glass shower enclosure. IMPORTANT - according to NJ's license verification web site below, neither Able nor Keunzel are a Licensed Home Improvement Contractor as required under NJ Home Improvement Laws https://newjersey.mylicense.com/verification/. The annual license costs about $70 & the usual reason for NOT obtaining a NJ Home Improvement Contractor's License is the Liability & Workers Comp Ins requirement. Kuenzel offered neither to us. To save you from having to read all the details below, I will stop here to highly recommend that you contact one of the following companies to install your frameless glass shower enclosure, all of whom are very professional and extremely knowledgable people who, unlike Mr. Kuenzel, care and deliver excellent customer service: www.elliottglass.com www.cliftonglass.com www.suburbanglassandmirror.com DETAILS: After our general contractor attempted to install a Vigo glass enclosure (HUGE ERROR ON OUR PART) we decided to have a glass company install a custom enclosure. We contacted Elliott Glass and, because of our GC's recommendation, Able Glass. Elliott was very busy and would have taken a week to come for an estimate, but Kuenzel came right over on 4/3/15, wrote up the estimate and asked for a 50% deposit or $1,150 which we gave him. He said the fabrication of materials would take 7 to 10 business days and he would call once they came in to schedule to work. After 2 weeks passed, I called to check in with Kuenzel for an update. When I called him, he snapped curtly "I told you I would call you when the glass came in. Why are you calling me??" I explained that I was simply calling to follow up. He made some rude comment and hung up (this should have been our 2nd clue). The following Monday, April 20, 2915, Kuenzel calls our house number at 7:05 am to say he can come in an hour to install the shower enclosure. Foolishly, we agreed. When his "guys" were done (not finished, though as you will read below), they told us to leave to door open and not to use the shower for 48 hours. Then, the "guys" said they couldn't leave until I have them a check for the $1,150.00 balance. I gave them a post-dated check dated 2 days out for two reasons: 1. The call at 7:05 am to "schedule" the work without notice; and, 2. We couldn't test the shower for 2 days to see if it was installed. Kuenzel called within 3 minutes after his "guys" left and indignantly demanded a check dated today. Stupidly, I caved and gave his "guys" a replacement check dated 4/20. Two days later, we closed the shower door to discover that it would not close properly. It made contact with the side panel at the top, but there was a 1/2" gap at the bottom. I call Kuenzel and he acted annoyed at my calling him. He said he'd send his "guys." I said I didn't want his "guys," I wanted him as the owner of the company to come look at the installation. He became agitated and said he couldn't come for 2 or 3 weeks and said his "guys" would come to make adjustments. His "guys" came, looked at shower door and then asked ME what's wrong with the installation and what I wanted them to do about it!!! WOW! If I hadn't caught on to these Kuenzel and his "guys" before this point, this one floored me. Here I am the homeowner being expected to give Kuenzel's "guys" instructions on how to install their product!! Did I mention their work product? Not only do they lack the knowledge and skills to install a frameless glass shower enclosure, their work is careless and sloppy, too. After they left the second time, I found the headliner piece that should have been inserted in the underside of the headliner rail on my bed, and the glass door and side panels were smeared with clear silicone and looked like hell. On top of that, the shower leaked large quantities of water through the door seals (I expect a frameless to realistically leak small amounts) and the door seals started peeking away from the door edges. But here's the worst part of all. When my wife and I called Kuenzel to ask him again to come to our house and look at the installation, can you guess what he did? He started screaming at my wife in the phone saying, "What's wrong with you people??? I told you 'I stand behind my work' and I will send my "guys" again!!!" The problem is neither Kuenzel nor his "guys" know the first thing about frameless glass shower enclosure installation. Stay away. Scott the owner is a nightmare. Absolutely horrendous to work with. I am an interior designer and have worked with many craftsman and contractors and this has been, by far, the worst experience. It started of nice, good conversation, he got back quickly, but that's where the nice ended. I told him what I wanted for my client, showed him pictures, explained in detail what the window should look like. The day of install we received two different tones materials (frame and muntins didn't match) and I was told, basically, that's the way it is and too bad. The total lack of communication with his customers/clients about what he was doing is astonishing. I would never sell a piece of furniture, fixture, or finish to a client knowing that it was not what they were looking for. When we asked him to make it right his response was "there's nothing I can do" and he expects the full amount to be paid in full with a completely unhappy customer and designer. I'm so happy I called Able Glass to help with an urgent window repair! The 4' x 4' window had a huge crack from a hawk strike, and I couldn't find a reliable glazier to actually show up to repair it. When a second crack developed due to frigid temperatures I panicked, afraid the whole window would give way in the middle of winter. Poor customer service. Needed a piece of replacement glass for a coffee table. Droped off the table for measuring and was told I would get a call back by lunch with a quote for the glass and a price for a beveled edge. Never got a call back. I called 5 days later and they told me the job was completed and it was $175. Table wasn't even worth $175. Explained to the receptionist and should could care less. OMG! SAVE YOURSELF!!! I WISH I would have read the reviews on Yelp for this store before I hired them For my job. Not only was there work sloppy, but it was done incorrectly. The doors would NOT close! I called to have the glass fixed and was yelled at by the owner. The owner behaves like a thug! He was so rude. I tried everything in my power to stay calm. 5/2017 After shopping around for quotes for a frameless glass shower door, we went with Able Glass as their price seemed very reasonable. We were very satisfied with Scott and his team and the installation went smoothly. Flash ahead 8 months later: We had to call Scott Jr. back as part of the door seal came loose and the door tilted, catching on the tile wall. Within an hour he was here and the repair was done!!! Very poor experience. While the repairmen were nice enough their work was sloppy and unprofessional. They left with shards of glass all over three floors of the house, broken window treatments, scratched hardwood floors newly painted window trim ripped and stripped of paint. It took over two hours to clean their mess and I'm still out window treatments and have to have the windows repainted. If you value your home and cleanliness I would suggest to stay away from this company. read more

Had a stall shower glass door installed - better price than other local company. Discovered that because our shower is abnormally small and water hits directly on hinges, some water was getting out between the hinges. Scott (the younger) was able to find an alternate hinge that solved the problem and came out to replace at no charge. I had one large window and two small windows repaired. I brought my windows to the location and they were repaired in 3 hours. Previously, Home Depot sales rep gave me a bid for $2,500 to replace the same windows (repair wasn't an option). Able fixed my windows for $260.
