She reached out to the spa and spoke with Quincy, who was friendly and professional. Quincy then transferred her to another person (whose name she did not get) to make a reservation. However, my sister was informed that there were no massages available on Saturday, despite the spa being open. This was because they didn't have any masseuses working on weekends. It's perplexing how a spa can operate without staff available on Saturdays, especially since my sister works Monday through Friday. The whole point of the gift was for her to book an appointment on a Saturday, and their advertised hours indicate they are open on both Saturdays and Sundays. I believe the spa should have included this crucial information in the fine print of the Groupon. Had I known she would need to take a day off to use it, I never would have purchased it. My sister just started her job and doesn't have vacation days available, making it extremely inconvenient to book an appointment. I wanted to return the Groupon and exchange it for another one, but unfortunately, I missed the refund/exchange window. I am very disappointed with this purchase because the reviews on Groupon, Yelp, and Google were excellent, which misled me regarding the spa's availability.

I would recommend you bring cash so that you can pay the regular price, as if you pay with card there is an additional fee. Also if you want to leave a tip make sure to tell them prior to paying if you're using card or they will have to do a separate transaction for the tip. Case in point, bring cash to pay for your services to Limit confusion and fees. I'm not sure if I will try other services, but I will definitely be back from massages regularly. Consoni does an awesome job and the prices are very affordable. I've paid MUCH more for massages that aren't near as good as hers. A spa vibe is my preference for a relaxing day. I like a place to sit and just relax a bit after a massage with a cup of tea prior to getting back to the hustle. I'm not sure how much business they get it, but if they wanted to up their game, adding a small lunch with a few packages and a small room to just sit and relax and drink a cup of tea would definitely make it a place that people would want to spend a half or full day of relaxation.

My goal was to find a reasonable solution by offering to pay a cancellation fee for my appointment and reiterated a few times that I did not want to negatively impact her or her other customers. I paid the cancellation fee, and I left. It was clear we jointly decided not to work with each other again. I was fine with this solution and didn't think much of it. Around midnight last night, I received a couple of lengthy, rambling, text messages from her.
