I have used About Trees for two years now to trim several trees on my property, especially a huge mulberry tree. This mulberry had been butchered several times in the past, but since it is a central feature in my landscaping, it is important that it be properly trimmed and shaped now. About Trees has done an excellent job of trimming it to keep it healthy and shaped nicely, repairing the damage done by inferior tree trimmers. Their work usually exceeds my expectations for how the tree will look when it is done. In addition, they provide me with a detailed estimate before the job explaining exactly what will be done. Scott always follows up with the crew to make sure they do the job exactly as agreed upon in the estimate. Their prices are the best in town for tree work and are usually a lot less than I anticipate. Best of all, they leave your property cleaner than when they first arrive. Excellent communication and organization, their main office was on top of every email and call and always responded quickly. The estimator was kind enough to come out twice to give a second quote (this project was 2 neighbors and 2 big trees over a fence who wanted different results) -- his knowledge of the trees and what options he could offer helped me feel like I was making an educated decision. We couldn't be happier with the crew and their work. They showed up on time, reviewed the work to be done and got busy. We had a 40' oak in our yard that needed serious canopy shaping and bracing installed. We also had a couple of limbs damaged from a storm on another oak that needed to be trimmed back. had an appointment set up with scott for an estimate. We waited and waited. He was a no show. We called and left messages for him. He called three days later, apologizing, saying he forgot. We set up another appointment. Had to wait two weeks for that. On second appointment day he was a no show AGAIN! We called his cell this time and texted--no response. I waited two weeks for nothing. I would give About Trees a 10 if I could! Scott came out in a timely manner. He was very professional and courteous. He gave me the estimate to cut down 2 very large palm trees. It was not the cheapest but it was not the most expensive either. The 4 man crew showed up on time and wasted no time taking down the palms. They were very friendly and took care not to damage anything else in my yard. It took them about 5 hours to cut them down and grind the stumps. The pruned Mulberry Trees really needed help and they have grown back as perfect as About Trees said they would. I've had About Trees at my house 3 different times. Each time they have done an excellent job!. The first time was to remove a large camphor tree, and the second time to remove dead limbs from a maple tree, and most recently, to trim my maple tree, trim 2 large juniper shrubs, and cut branches from a Texas privet that were hanging over the sidewalk in front of my house. Got three estimates, About Trees was 1/2 one estimate and 1/3 the other estimate price. They were here on time and immediately began work on cutting down three 60' to 70' tall digger pines.
