To Whom It May Concern,…read more I am filing this complaint to document the horrific experience my family endured due to the gross negligence and abandonment by LifePath Hospice during my father's final days. This organization utterly failed in every capacity and caused my mother and me immense emotional trauma. From the moment we enrolled in hospice care, we were led to believe LifePath would provide support, guidance, and compassion. Instead, we received only one visit, and only after we called and specifically requested assistance. There was no sustained follow-up, no meaningful contact, and no presence when it mattered most. After intake, we were told someone would visit the next day. I informed hospital staff to contact me if anyone from hospice arrived. No one ever did. I only realized in the chaos of the day, around 7 p.m., that we had been completely abandoned. When a nurse from LifePath finally arrived the next afternoon--after we had to ask for someone to come--it was far too late. My father was already declining rapidly. Over the next three days, as my father actively died, not a single person from LifePath Hospice contacted or visited us again. The only outreach we received was a generic voicemail offering "counseling," which felt like a cruel joke after everything we had endured alone. To add further insult, we later received a survey request--as if our opinion mattered to a company that ignored us in our most desperate hour. We had already emailed our frustrations, yet we were still contacted again. This level of tone-deafness and lack of empathy is disgraceful. This experience was traumatic and completely contrary to the mission LifePath claims to uphold. They failed my dying father. They failed our grieving family. Their absence forced us to lean entirely on hospital nurses, who were not affiliated with the hospice and should never have had to shoulder that burden. We are demanding: A formal acknowledgment of this complaint; A detailed explanation of why this happened; A clear outline of corrective steps to ensure no other family is subjected to this level of negligence and abandonment; Immediate and permanent removal of all contact information from their records. We have asked multiple times and continue to receive unwanted outreach. This organization is not fit to call itself a provider of compassionate end-of-life care. What they did--or more accurately, failed to do--was inhumane.

Most of the staff here are caring and compassionate. However, one of the intake counselors was very cold, insensitive, and made for a poor experience in a dark time for our family. I do understand the need for transparency, but telling family members your loved one is being discharged because they basically lasted too long here alive was distressing and unprofessional. Yes, you have policies, and yes, you go through them upon arrival. But my guess is many people trying to navigate the impending loss of a loved one are hardly going to remember everything they are presented with upon arrival at hospice. Several of us, including a pastor, kept dodging the low cabinets with dangerous corners near the patients' beds. The pastor did hit his head while praying over our mom. One day, I had to go to the ER because I cut my head on the cabinet, so beware of these sharp, low corners. You would think there would at least be caution sign or bright tape on them! The bright spots were the beauty and peacefulness of this place, and we also appreciated being able to sleep overnight in our mom's comfortable room. Thank you to the staff who cared for our mom until the very end. It is just a shame not all of the staff was as compassionate. I hope this review will help those contemplating bringing their loved one here.

I first found Dorothy when looking for an adult daycare. My first interaction with Dorothy was very…read morehonest yet warm, and was late 2021 during COVID. Mom eventually moved in as a resident in June of 2022. Dorothy and her staff immediately made her feel at home, and of course, my trepidation of moving my mom away from home was eased. Dorothy and her staff were always eager to share updates of mom with the family along with pictures and videos. The resident was always spotless and cleaned without any storing disinfectant smells. It was really warm and inviting. It did not matter what day or time I visited. It was always the same. The care given to my mom was exceptional, to say the least. I went out of the country Christmas of 2022, feeling confident and relaxed knowing mom would be safe and cared for. Dorothy and her staff extend their to the end. Dorothy, Victoria, and Angela took time to attend my mom's funeral. That was truly special to my family and I. Thanks, Dorothy & staff.

This home is kept pristine and pricing is very reasonable compared to other options-- especially since guests receive much more individual attention. Later, when mom's memory did fade, the gentle, caring nature of Dorothy and all of her helpers was a great comfort to us. (My brother was horrified at other 'memory care' facilities he'd visited as they smelled, were depressing, and guests were ignored.) The thoughtful attention my mom received at Dorothy's was phenomenal. My mom considered Dorothy as more of another daughter. The love and care that she received was such a blessing and something that no money could buy. It was a gift. Mom was made to feel special. Thoughtful little things were done for her. As I live at a great distance, they would send photos of mom opening my cards and presents and she always had a huge smile. These would touch my heart and mean so much to me. With my mom's passing, we take great comfort in knowing that she was loved and cared for in the very best way possible. Dorothy is an absolute angel with the biggest heart and loving nature. She selects staff who are also caring. We could not be more grateful for the loving care that our mother received at Dorothy's.

I've spent copious amounts of time "shopping around" for just the right fit for each of them since they all had varying degrees of needs. As each situation changed with our seniors, once again we needed to look further to make sure we were meeting all of their individual needs properly and I was so thankful and grateful when I found Allegro North Tampa. The sales professional I first met with, Stephanie, helped me get my parents settled into memory care and she was extremely efficient in making the process smooth and easy for me. As my father had to transition out to a hospital and then a hospice care facility the caregiving team at Allegro North Tampa were more like family as they helped me in each and every way during that stressful time. As it became necessary to relocate my mother-in-law from another small ALF that was not meeting her needs, I was so blessed to find Monica, as our sales professional. Monica was so precious to me personally with the meticulous way she tried her best to assist our family down to each and every detail! We needed to quickly relocate my mother-in-law and she figured out a plan so my mom and MIL could share adjoining suites and be close to one another and she made all of this happen quickly! The caregivers in memory care are absolutely fantastic! My life is so much easier because of their level of care and concern for my loved ones. These caregivers are the men and women who tirelessly give my mother & mother-in-law the type of individualized care that is desperately needed because of their level of dementia and Alzheimer's. I've witnessed so much personalized love and attention provided to our family and to the other residents and I marvel at how well the caregivers recognize when someone just needs a simple hug or a smile or a gesture of love that can change a senior's attitude in a split second. That only comes because the caregivers spend quality time interacting with the residents and actually know them as people. Transitions are never easy, but the fabulous staff at Allegro North Tampa honestly care! I cannot thank them all enough for giving to my mom and mother-in-law the love and attention as if they were all just an extended part of the family.
