They just did a terrific job for me on a rush assignment dealing with a particularly difficult Sheriff's Office. They moved heaven and earth to get something done in one day. This is the second time they basically dropped everything and got something done for me that was pretty difficult. They have also finessed a few things in the San Mateo Sheriff's Office. (Frank knows the local Sheriffs and is careful to follow the procedures in each office -- this one needs a declaration re electronic writ even after the change in the SER forms etc...) If you have work in Nor Cal, I can't recommend them highly enough. (I should also mention that they just opened an office right across from CT Corporation in Glendale)

Each time I called, I spoke with different employees who all told me it was "in process" and that I would receive an update. The only time I ever got updates was when I chased them down myself. On one occasion I was even told it would be served that evening, which never happened. Later I was told their server doesn't go to that city very often. If that's the case, then why offer and charge for rush 24-hour service?? When the case manager finally called me, he claimed the request had 'slipped through the cracks.' This was the same person who had previously told me it was actively being worked on and that he would follow up with the server. It's hard to understand how something can slip through the cracks when multiple staff members repeatedly assured me it was being handled. By the time they offered more apologies and promises to fix it, the subpoena deadline had already passed and it was no longer usable. This was after I had already taken the time to go to the courthouse and wait to have the subpoena certified in the first place. Completely unreliable service and a huge waste of time and energy. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

6 stars if I could…read more I've used these guys for process service more than once. In other words, I was so impressed with the job done on the first situation that I called them first the second time I needed papers served. Both times involved deadbeat landlords who refused to pay back security deposits upon move out. I needed small claims forms served for both. The first situation was difficult as the landlord attempted to evade service. Craig was fantastic as far as performing all the steps necessary to effect service via procedure acceptable to the court where the subject won't physically accept the paperwork. Needless to say, the defendant had no choice but to show up for trial and receive a verdict against them. The second situation was much easier as the property management company was huge, and service simply involved dropping off the paperwork with the manager on duty. But Craig and company got it done literally within a couple hours of when I called. My concern this time was whether I'd need to pay extra for a rush job because the deadline to serve was fast approaching. But Craig got them served pronto anyhow, and I was able to breath a little easier knowing that all the court T's and I's were crossed and dotted. We won't be suing any landlords in the foreseeable future since we now own instead of rent, but if any other situations happen to arise involving process service needs or other activities Gotcha performs, I will be calling them first. In fact they may indeed be getting our business again as the most recent defendant is thus far ignoring the judgement against them which means we may have to use the court for collection purposes which involves a hearing and obviously a subpoena served on the defendant.
