They just did a terrific job for me on a rush assignment dealing with a particularly difficult Sheriff's Office. They moved heaven and earth to get something done in one day. This is the second time they basically dropped everything and got something done for me that was pretty difficult. They have also finessed a few things in the San Mateo Sheriff's Office. (Frank knows the local Sheriffs and is careful to follow the procedures in each office -- this one needs a declaration re electronic writ even after the change in the SER forms etc...) If you have work in Nor Cal, I can't recommend them highly enough. (I should also mention that they just opened an office right across from CT Corporation in Glendale)

Each time I called, I spoke with different employees who all told me it was "in process" and that I would receive an update. The only time I ever got updates was when I chased them down myself. On one occasion I was even told it would be served that evening, which never happened. Later I was told their server doesn't go to that city very often. If that's the case, then why offer and charge for rush 24-hour service?? When the case manager finally called me, he claimed the request had 'slipped through the cracks.' This was the same person who had previously told me it was actively being worked on and that he would follow up with the server. It's hard to understand how something can slip through the cracks when multiple staff members repeatedly assured me it was being handled. By the time they offered more apologies and promises to fix it, the subpoena deadline had already passed and it was no longer usable. This was after I had already taken the time to go to the courthouse and wait to have the subpoena certified in the first place. Completely unreliable service and a huge waste of time and energy. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

One of them was actually an attorney who appeared to be actively avoiding service. After weeks of unsuccessful attempts, I honestly started wondering whether service would ever be completed. Jeffrey never gave up. What impressed me most was not just that he eventually got the job done, but how much effort he put into it. He made repeated attempts at different times of day, kept detailed notes, communicated with me throughout the process, and never treated the assignment like a lost cause. In one of my cases, he made more than 20 service attempts. Most people would have quit long before that. Jeffrey kept working the case, remained patient, and eventually succeeded. When I received his declaration describing everything that happened, I was amazed by the level of detail. It was clear he had invested a tremendous amount of time and effort into completing the service properly. What also stood out was his honesty and fairness. Considering the amount of work involved, I expected the bill to be much higher. In fact, Jeffrey told me that if he had billed the matter the way many companies would, the cost could easily have been several hundred dollars more. His pricing was extremely reasonable. He also helped me file the Proof of Service with the Court, which saved me additional time and stress. More importantly, you can tell that Jeffrey genuinely enjoys his work and takes pride in doing it well. He is not looking for the quickest way to close a file. He wants to solve the problem and complete the assignment successfully.
