Easy late check in. You get what you pay for it's not a Hilton but it definitely was better than I expected.

THE GOOD ----------------…read more+ Probably the best hotel in Absecon, hands down! + The entire hotel was renovated a few years ago and still looks relatively new. + Very, very clean and spacious rooms. Bathroom was huge with a large shower. + Extremely well-put together complimentary hot breakfast (6 - 9:30 AM daily) in the morning with veggie omelets, sausages, bacon, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, cereals, muffins, bagels, breads, pancake maker, oatmeal, HOT cinnamon buns, juices, sealed bottled milks, yogurts. + Breakfast dining area is spacious and has plenty of tables, but can get pretty busy in the mornings. + Decent size pool on the 1st floor. + Small gym on the 1st floor. + Large private parking lot. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Not much! Our overall stay was excellent! RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = The hotel consist of 2 towers connected via a walkway on the 1st floor with the pool and gym located along the walkway.

STAY HERE when visiting Atlantic City!! EVERYTHING about…read morethis hotel is fantastic! From reception, pantry, coffee, gym, pool, even guest laundry (coin machines that WORK!).....to the rooms cleanliness and layout/vibe, location of ice machines. And the included full breakfast is always amazing, of course. Side doors are key-accessible 24/7 and very close to the parking spaces, which I really appreciate on dark late nights! They have just thought of it ALL! My 2nd stay here, and I will ALWAYS choose this property over anywhere else in the AC area! That includes the high end Casino hotels where almost NONE of these amenities are included. 10-15 minute easy drive to the Casinos. Convenient to many retail options (convenience stores, food, etc.)

The Borgata is definitely my favorite hotel and casino in AC…read more The casino floor is loaded, well-maintained, and CLEAN!!! There's tons of games and lots of spots for food on the main floor from grab and go to sit down. The staff is friendly and check-in is easy. The rooms were clean, well kept, and cleaning services came in each day and kept the rooms in good shape. The Borgata is def one of the nicer options when going to AC

I very rarely leave negative hotel reviews, and I am generally someone who is pretty easygoing when…read moreit comes to hotels. I've stayed at Marriott properties for approximately 12 years and have accumulated 800+ nights with Marriott, so I have a pretty good understanding of the standards I expect from the brand. Unfortunately, my recent stay at the Borgata was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I've had. We checked in Saturday. That evening, we went to put food in our refrigerator and discovered food belonging to a previous guest still inside the fridge. Gross, but I initially brushed it off as an isolated housekeeping oversight. The next morning, things got significantly worse. The TV in our room wasn't working, and when my friend went to take a shower, she discovered a significant amount of someone else's hair sitting in the shower drain. There was also no soap in the bathroom hand-soap dispenser, so we had to call to have that addressed. At that point, we went to the front desk and spoke with Connor, a manager. We explained everything, and he was apologetic and told us he would put a $100 food & beverage credit on our room and send housekeeping up to properly clean the room. We appreciated the response and went back upstairs. Except housekeeping never came. After waiting, I called the concierge to check on the request, only to be told that there was no housekeeping request in the system. The concierge then put one in and I asked how long it would take because we needed to get ready for dinner. I was actually told that I could take a tissue and remove the hair from the shower drain myself. I'm sorry, but absolutely not. I paid to stay in a hotel room. I should not be cleaning another guest's hair out of the shower drain myself. Eventually, housekeeping did come. However, after the housekeeper left, the hair was STILL in the shower drain. I literally had to follow the housekeeper into the hallway and point out that the hair had not been removed. This is not about expecting perfection. Hotels make mistakes. It is about basic cleanliness and the fact that we repeatedly gave the property opportunities to fix the problem, and somehow the most obvious issue was still not addressed. Then, to make matters worse, I received our folio after checking out and discovered that the $100 food & beverage credit Connor specifically promised us was never applied. So now I'm left wondering what, exactly, was being done to resolve the situation. I have stayed at an enormous number of Marriott properties over the years and have never experienced this combination of poor housekeeping, lack of communication, and failure to follow through on a commitment made by management. Food left in the refrigerator. Hair from a previous guest in the shower drain. Missing soap. Broken TV. Housekeeping request not entered. Being told to clean the hair myself. Hair still left in the drain after housekeeping. And finally, the promised $100 credit not applied. That is an extraordinary number of basic failures for one stay. The Borgata is a major property, and as a Marriott-affiliated hotel, I expected significantly better.

I've definitely had better than this. I got a free night from Cesar's so I decided to come one day…read moreearlier so I wouldn't have to drive in the morning to AC. This was the last room available, and for $12. I said hey why not. It's bad but for the price I paid what was I expecting? I read bad reviews on google about the man at the check in counter... But I honestly didn't have a bad experience. I went in expecting the worst but he was not rude. Everything was good for me. The check in process was SOOO easy. Took 4 minutes... I had booked on Travelocity. Got room 219... 2 queen sized beds... I checked the entire room with my flashlight to make sure there were no bugs. I saw none, though I saw plenty of dust behind the fridge, microwave, on the floor, walls, and a cobweb in the corner of the room. I don't know when was the last time someone cleaned these spots, but it would be nice. Luckily I'm not sneeZing from allergies so that is good enough for me. Just need to sleep here and then go out to boardwalk in a few hours. There are no tissues, and I am definitely not going into the tub or using the towels . I'm strictly here just to stay for the night and then I will be on my merry way. My middle lamp wasn't working ... Maybe it was on purpose so I would miss the grossest thing in the entire room... And possibly my grossest finding in a motel. Not sure if it is shit or blood but looks like it. See pic. On side of my bed. Ew

Friday - Sunday Me and my friend first got there and had to…read morering the door bell to get in then when we got into the check in area. As we got in , there were 3 men in front of us at the desk that the manager was behind very rude with them by the time we started to talk to Him to check in it was 30 minutes of us waiting! We started talking to the man and he demanded a $40 deposit after we had already paid the full amount months prior! Also HAD to be a cash deposit and no where on the website does it say anything about that ! As we are trying to explain to the man at the desk he started getting very loud with us and we had a prior engament already and need to go ! So we say whatever and get the key! We get to the door and the key doesn't work, I go back in and say the key doesn't work can you please help us! He then tell me I'm entering the key wrong so I leave and go try again! Yet again it doesn't work and even grab a nice man to help us and it didn't work for him either I go back again and I say sir please we really need to go it has been an hour of waiting at this point and I ask for help he would not get up from his desk and proceeded to call me hyper becasue we really needed to go to a prior engament ! So then he give me a new key go to that room and thank goodness it opens ! Not really , it was disgusting! Bugs on the wall , wholes in beds blankets , outlet covers off the wall and the ones still on the wall can't even hold a charger without falling out ! The ceiling tiles in the bathroom were covered in mold and tiles were wilted and falling out! Bath tub was moldy and stained ! Mold on the ceiling , food that look like fruit smeared into the floor! Lamps that were not even standing straight! The tv for sod take had instructions had to turn on becasue it didn't work right ! Ever corner of that room was just not cleaned! And it shows from more than just 1 or 2 days ! No body in there right mind would stay there escoecially if you have kids! With that being said we didn't feel comfortable and or safe to stay the whole weekend! We decided to go see what the front desk could help us out with ! So me and my friend both go in and try to explain we're not happy and have pictures to prove it! As we're trying to trying to show him the pictures he tell us to back up we're on camera he doesn't need any problems. Ok we move away to the front and this whole time he is being very loud with us! Proceeds to tell us there's no bugs in there , he can't help us , all the rooms were booked out and no refund ! Basically said get the business done stay or leave he really could care less he got our money! It was the most crazy bizarre experience I highly don't recommend bringing your dogs there ! Mise well sleep in your car in the fresh air becasue honey there no air in the room! Worst place I ever stayed for the price
