I don't understand Yelp reviews. I left a review back in 2015 but they won't recommend my review for some reason. I will try again. I have been dealing with Absher-Arnold Dodge-Chrysler since I bought my 2012 Dodge Jouney new back in 2012. Even though I bought it from another dealer, Absher Motors has been doing all my service work on my Journey. I have never had any problems getting a service appointment nor have had any problems with this business. My 22 year old son just recently wanted to trade his 2006 Cadillac for a car with better gas mileage. Absher Motors was where we took him. They gave him a good deal on a 2016 Dodge Dart. I would have never taken him there if I had ever had a bad experience with them. They have done all my oil changes and service on my Journey. I priced around for tires and they were in the same price ball park as WalMart and other tire dealers so I bought my new tires from them about 3 years ago. After the first of the year I will be buying another set from them and having my engine tuned up. I'm 66 years old and have been around the block a few times. I know there are auto repair places I would never go to a second time, but Absher Motors has always treated me right. They know my vehicle and I would not take it anywhere else unless I had no other choice. We moved to this town back in 2006 and I know it's hard to find reputable auto repair places. The business I used until I bought my Journey had switched hands so we went looking for a new vehicle. In 29 days will mark a year ago that i bought my 2020 vw tiguan from absher arnold. Today my car is setting and will need to be towed to wherever it goes next. I purchased my car on june 28th 2025 on june 30th 2025 the car leaked all of its oil out. On july 1st absher arnold took my car in for service. On july 3rd absher arnold's service department left me a message letting me know my car was not fixed yet but i can come pick it up and make my own appointment over at volkswage. I messaged the salesperson i had purchased the car from explaining the message they left me and explaining how this was not right i will not be picking the car up unless it's fixed if not they can take the car back.The sales lady gets back to me apologizing and letting me know she will get with her managers and resolve this because it should have never been put out on the lot like that. (also between this time of them working on my car i had to switch out my loner 3 times 4 including a car i drove of their lot that had a check en light come on immediately after leaving the day i took my car there). I got my car back on July 28th. Absher arnold sent the car to volkswagen where they claimed oil leak due to pcv failed timing cover gasket causing oil pan to crack. August 11th all oil is out of car again this time no puddle to be found under the car. Absher arnold took in the car did not send the car back over to volkswage. Absher arnold's service department claims there's nothing wrong with this car it's is completely fine. I get the car back on august 13th. Two days after getting my car back oil light and now check engine light is on. Absher arnold reluctantly takes car back after telling me they have no loner cars available this time. (they have just been letting me drive cars off their lot as test drive as I am only 18). Absher arnold keeps the car for awhile no updates or communication on what's being done. I call service department at some point asking what is wrong what's being done. Absher arnold replies they need to make an appointment at volkswagen. The car finally gets over to volkswagen. volkswagen works on the car consisting of turbo bypass valve replaced connector and replaced coil pack. i get the car back on august 29th. On Sunday august 31st oil light is on once again i messaged my sales person pretty upset. I received a reply back on September third due to the holiday weekend simply saying i will have service call you. I take the car in again the following day. Once again when they give me a car to drive this time i drive down the road and the sun roof would not close they give me a different car. Five days later on the 9th i have to take the other car back to switch for another car due to them asking me to. Saturday September 13th I messaged my sales lady letting her know the jeep i was driving was letting her know the odd sound it was making just to inform them. I never got a reply back therefore i stopped communicating through my sales lady and started just talking to management and service. I have never had more of a hard time trying to get ahold of management anywhere in my life. On October 14th i picked my car up once again with no information on what they did or didn't do. On October 22nd the check engine light came on once again. I try to take my car back to absher arnold again the following day. Absher arnold informs me i need to take the car over to volkswagen myself. I argue back and forth with management and got no where except them letting me drive a car off their lot. When i take my car to volkswagen i had to put in into service under my name this time which i just felt off about considering i had issues with this car since i've bought it.At this point i'm very disappointed and looking for answers i didn't know to be upset with volkswagen or absher arnold. I decided to call volkswagen myself on October 30th. first off absher arnold picked up my car from there with out telling me a day or so after be bringing it to volkswagen then volkswagen also goes over everything they have done to the car and what absher arnold denied service on. Yes what absher arnold denied service. Absher arnold hid the fact that in august when the check engine light came on code po451 came up. My car needs a cylinder head. My car has been using oil because i need a cylinder head. Absher arnold lied to me for months about this. After getting off the phone with volkswagen i decided to just keep my cool and confront absher arnold about it the next week. absher arnold denies ever knowing anything about the cylinder head. Absher arnold also will not get the cylinder head fixed they tell me they will give me some time and then they can trade my car in.They wanted me to come up with a new down payment and trade in my vehicle for another on their lot. I just didn't know what to do anymore and let the car sit until letting them know i am not trading in my car for one that probably will have issues and adding my loan to another car loan. read more

The service dept is a joke. From the start the service people in front are rude and think it is funny to laugh at people when they lie about how long your truck has been sitting there. Also with them lying on the tech notes to try to get the warranty company to void the warranty. The one guy wanted to smirk and laugh at me when he saw I was upset that they held my truck over night for a process that should have only taken 2 hours MAX, but it took them over 10 hours to get it done. I was told earlier this morning that I would be called right away when it was done since they held over night so according to him he didnt want me to wait any longer, Just wish this dealership had more values when it comes to being respectful to the customer. Just putting it out there when I got upset I did drop the f-word in general comment while walking out of the dealership but the two guys working the front desk decided to follow me to my truck aggressively trying to get me more pissed off with their comments. I turned around and said " have a great day" and they responded with, "since you said the f-word you are no longer welcome here". read more

Wanted to test drive a Renegade just to see if I would even like driving one before going to Louisville to get the exact one I wanted, assuming the local dealer wouldn't mind since that's where I'd be getting it serviced. NOPE. If I wasn't buying from them, I could pound sand. Ended up buying a Renegade from Louisville and as planned, have been servicing it at Absher. They aren't to blame for the crappy vehicle, but they don't return calls when they say they will and won't stand behind their product with a bad air bag with less than 70,000 miles. read more

I had a speedometer problem with my Dodge Ram. I had bought a new speed sensor from Autozone, but that did not resolve the issue, so I talked to Absher. They first recommended I buy a Mopar part (3x's AutoZone's price) which didn't work, so I then took it in for service. Paid a hefty diagnostic fee and they told me it was going to need hundreds of dollars in re-wiring. I picked up the truck (with black grease all over my floor mat) and went through the wires myself (less than 30mins) only to find an aftermarket speedometer tire size adjuster causing the issue. Removed that (which was very obvious if anyone even looked at the shoddy wire nuts clearly visible in the harness), and my speedometer works fine! I Called back to Absher and they took back my dealer part but would not refund my diagnostic fee). When I explained that they incorrectly diagnosed the whole issue, the service manager said there were no refunds of service fees. Why pay a diagnostic fee if they can't correctly diagnose something? Horrible experience for both my brother and I. wouldn't recommend them. I was suppose to get my stereo out of my truck when o traded it in (700$ worth of stuff ) two months later still havnt got it. Was suppose to get breaks and an oil change still havnt got it. Went to undo te deal before it was final and they had already sold my truck without the consigner signing off on it. They put my old plates on my new truck. They put my old plates on my truck then I got new ones in the mail that won't even work for my truck. Horrible to work with read more

I called the Service Department about a factory defect on my Dodge Ram Truck. I was given faulty troubleshooting information on my problem from one of their techs. A Service Bulletin from Chrysler calls out a defective Control Module causing a shifting problem in the transmission. It is supposed to be removed and replaced with a newer version under warranty, But the Service Manager isnt willing to cooperate. Instead he says I will have to foot the bill for the $500 part to fix the problem. Ive been a loyal Chrysler buyer for over 35 years and this is how Im treated?? read more

Deceitful, Paranoid, DISORGANIZED, Undercutting Dealership. I-ve been dealing with them for a week just to complete a car sale. The sales Managers ROB & TONY, Finance Manager TYLER (ESPECIALLY THIS slick cat) and Noah, ALL dropped the ball on me & tried to pull a FAST one on me in the process. My own BANK kept urging me to CANCEL the deal as they found this dealership to be shady and Thirsty for money ASAP right NOW doing what they were doing to. I was already approved for the car & had the paid bank Draft (this is a guaranteed payment from the bank once signed and sent in) and can u believe they STILL didn't want to release the car to me? How many times have u gone to buy a car and the same DAY u leave with the car after u applied for financing and most dealers haven't even bothered to push the paperwork yet cause they are too busy making deals. These guys already had the guarantee from the bank ThemSelve as per their own conversation with the bank Manager who was FORCED by this dealer to have to OVERNIGHT a check and even then the dealer STILL didn't want to release the car even though it's certified payment from the bank themselves. Bank told them they should normally get paid once THEY got ORGANIZED and sent ALL CORRECT paperwork CLEARLY given to them by the BANK, yet they STILL kept getting everything WRONG then wanted ME to pay for it. The DEALER kept changing the sales price jacking it up AND low balled me on the Taxes so i would be stuck paying for them when our agreement price was OUT THE DOOR. I had added $750. so i can have the car shipped myself since they said they would not ship it (even though they LIED to my bank saying THEY were doing the shipping, yet i have Proof i was the one doing all that. Dealer lied to the bank to COVER UP the fact that they kept putting that $750 shipping INTO the COST of the CAR itself, which also raised my taxes which THEY low balled me on so i can get stuck paying the other half at the dmv. TOTAL GREED!! TOTAL CLEAR DISHONEST BUSINESS PRACTICES. I have OVER 50 calls, texts, emails in total of how much they were treating me like i cannot be trusted & was lying about buying the car & they wanted the money NOW before they would give me the car which is crazy cause i've been buying cars for 25 years & this is the FIRST time they wouldn't give me the car. MIND U, it was supposed to be shipped out Wednesday BUT because they were so LAX with the poor communication between Noah/ROB/Tony/Noah/TYLER, nothing was done correctly or on time. I had to call and reschedule the delivery for Friday and was told if i had to cancel or reschedule again, i'd loose my deposit PLUS the shipping would go up in price over a 1000k. I was forced to also be behind this dealer calling them every day and texting like some psycho cause of how disorganized they are & all the mistakes they kept doing, not to mention them trying to ADD the $750. price of the Shipping INTO the car deal jacking up the cars sale price & taxes in the process that they shortchanged me on. 3 supervisors at my bank from 3 DIFFERENT departments said they NEVER experienced this out of state dealers' tactics & disorganization OR this price fixing changing & urged me again to cancel the deal, but i didn't want too loose my deposit or the work put in. This crazy dealer even had me NOTARIZE a bill of sale? Who does that? I have had 30 mustangs and 7 elements and NOT ONE TIME, NEVER had i had to notarize a bill of sale or go through ANY of this nonsense just to buy a car. Even a bank manager was on the phone with made via 3 way call with TYLER making it CLEAR check was ready to be fed ex OVERNIGHT to them, which banks don't usually do, yet dealer STILL wouldn't release the car & kept PUSHING to get a check mailed, knowing i'd loose my deposit that originally MGR ROB & I spoke about. Dealer was blaming the bank for all the issues yet the bank has a log showing how many times they called the dealer & left messages but the dealer never called back, meanwhile i am the one calling the dealer like crazy behind them to make SURE there are no more issues cause NOAH kept saying the GENERAL MGR wants money in hand first. It's FINANCED. Draft was signed, paper done. Bank Confirmed they'd get paid via 3 way call. They were DESPERATE for the check & to get rid of the car. Especially after i called them out on their money changing figures. I ended up loosing my deposit/shipping and lost what could have been a good relationship with that shipping company for future business and now my bank thinks i'm a problem even though i've been doing business with them for years cause of this dispicable's disorganized greedy shady practices. I mean just about EVERY dealer u walk into let's u leave the SAME day with the car without so much as u signing some papers and that's it. I recieved the best service, not only from the salesperson who helped me get the best price on the car I purchased, but also from a technician working in their garage, who was very good at walking me thru the problem I was having. I've never purchased a vehicle from a dealership that treated & continues to treat me like I'm family. I highly recommend Absher-Arnold for anyone needing to purchase a vehicle, but also anyone needing automotive work done, they are a very trustworthy dealership who go above & beyond to make their customers satisfied. I tell all my friends & family how great this dealership is. I can't imagine taking my business anywhere but here. Horrible. Absolutely horrible. I should have gone a different direction from the first phone call. I thought I had the wrong number because the woman who answered simply said, in a ridiculously rude tone, "Hello!". As if she were mortified in the fact that I, a potential customer, was bothering her mediocre job of answering a telephone and transferring calls. The sales woman, Auburn, is very nice and out going, don't get me wrong. But, just like the rest. They will tell you exactly what you want to hear for the benefit of THEM and THEIR sale. Don't even get me started on the finance guy Robert. He has a horrible attitude, this must be a running trait here. Down right disrespectful and absolutely DISGUSTING. The entire time he is handling my deal, he has a nice, big piece of chewing tobacco in his mouth, never hesitating to spit his tobacco excrement into the trash can below him. Right in front of me. I get it, you have to do what you have to do. HOWEVER, when someone is patronizing your services, that kind of disrespect is simply unacceptable. The service department isn't half as bad as those who work with the actual sales. Nothing is personal with them. Strictly professional. Which is not how you gain any kind of business. Every time I call it's the same unprofessional disrespectful tone of voice that makes me want to never have to deal with them again, and I wouldn't, however, my car is under warranty through them. So I'm stuck. They don't take your concerns seriously. They talk to you like you're stupid. It's just a get in, pay and get out kind of deal. Nothing more. Less if they can make it that. I give them a .8 (that is a decimal In front of the 8) out of 10. The petulance and arrogance the employees at this dealership possess is absolutely unreal.
