ABSOLUTE WORST LOCKSMITH EVER I took several keys for them to cut. The first set was too wide and didn't even fit in the cylinder of my lock which means they used the wrong blank. I took these back and they were still wrong. The second set of another blank went in the lock but would not turn which means a poor cut. I thought I would give them a 3rd chance after they insisted on recutting them since they were hesitant to give me a refund. Again both keys didn't work. I also asked them to stamp do not duplicate and they did but smeared the letters which were illegible. I took my keys back again, they insisted on adjusting the keys and I said no please give me my money back. What a waste of time going back and forth. I took my same keys to Martin Lock and Safe which was slightly more expensive and out of my way but at least every time I have gone there they always cut my keys correctly. I won't ever take my keys to be cut by Absolute Locksmith ever again. read more

Don't know why the reviews for this locksmith company are so great. One of our sliding patio door lock wasn't working so looking at the great reviews on yelp we decided to have Absolute Locksmith come out to give us a quote. Well the man they sent out said the service charge would be $25.00, $55.00 labor if he worked on it and wasn't able to fix it. If he had the part it would cost $220.00 for the part and an additional $79.95 for labor!!! A whomping $300.00 total. Went to his truck and surprisingly he found a part but not the exact part. He installed the part and it was tricky for the latch to catch after installed. Sometimes it caught other times not. In the meantime I went on line and found the correct part for $14.95!!! Should have done that in the first place. We paid him the $55.00 we were quoted and asked him to leave and take his GOLDEN latch with him!!! This is my very first review and I'm angry that companies like this try to take advantage of us the consumers. read more

AWESOME!! I was a total Mess and had lost my only set of Keys to my car. I called the team at absolute locksmiths and not only we're they quick to come to my aid but Ben the owner came himself and his service was just brilliant! After he calmed my nerves by assuring me it wasn't going to be a problem to cut a new key and link the codes to my new key remote, he urged me to go and relax with a coffee at Starbucks. To which I did and after what only seemed minutes he arrives with my brand new set of keys complete with new remote, he also gave me an emergency key that just opens the door to the car which I have since used when I go surfing... DO NOT USE THIS LOCKSMITH....... THEY ARE A SCAM AND ARE OUT TO RIP YOU OFF. THEY ARE THE HIGHEST PRICED LOCKSMITH IN TOWN. I walked out of my office in a hurry and locked myself out and all my keys were now locked inside the office. My husband called this locksmith to our rescue. The locksmith said he had to drill out the lock. He asked if I wanted a new key made and I said no I would keep my same key. I was in shock when the technician presented me with the bill of $303.00. Service Call - $45.00 Open Commercial Door - $85.00 New Lock - $95.00 Labor Install- $40.00 Rekey - $29.00 Plus Tax My Husband was furious as he felt the technician took advantage of me as I am a female. He called the company to complain about this outrageous bill and felt we were due at least a small amount of refund. As of today, they had not given us any discounted refund. My husband just found a copy of an invoice where he used this company with one of his businesses and said the amount was still ridiculously high. I am normally not a Yelper. This is my first YELP I have ever made on any company but strongly felt I needed to get the message out to others who will hopefully see my message among the other one star's made my other victims. Were it not for Ben, this review would have been a 1-star review. We had unfortunately lost the key to our unit at Public Storage. We were scheduling a move and needed the lock opened in the morning prior to the movers arriving. We called and scheduled a locksmith. The price we were quoted was $55 plus a Yelp voucher deal. So... we were there on Sunday morning waiting for the locksmith. He arrived on time. He looked at the lock and quoted $150. Needless to say, I was rather taken aback. I told him about the phone call and price quote. This gentleman was, to put it mildly, an arrogant jerk. He spent a few minutes lecturing us about why we need to call and verify pricing. That self-righteous idiot perhaps had a moment of hearing loss when we told him multiple times that he had done so. We asked him to wait while we called the main line. He drove off anyway. (We later were told that this company has its own locksmiths Monday through Friday. However, they contract out to other locksmiths on the weekend. If Absolute Locksmith's management team is reading this, do yourselves a favor - find the idiot who you sent initially on Sunday morning and remove him from your system. You are not doing yourselves a favor by having someone like that on your staff. I would love a job in which I could interact with customers like he did with us. If I did that in my current job, I would probably be fired in short order. What a novel concept.) Anyhow, we still had made no progress on the lock. And movers were on the way. Thankfully, our call was transferred to a gentleman named Ben. He was very polite and respectful. He found another locksmith who could come out and open the lock, which happened. It took less than 3 minutes to drill the lock (seriously, the original locksmith wanted $150 for that??????!!!!!) The total price was slightly above what we were originally quoted, but nonetheless very reasonable. Had we not been able to move as scheduled, I would have made it my mission in life for at least he next 3-4 months to make Absolute Locksmith's life a living hell. Thankfully, we spoken with Ben. We've had them come out on 2 occasions. This time, we had them fit our keys to a deadbolt. Only 2 of the 5 keys worked. They won't come out and make it right. We are reasonable people, and I call that very poor service. I wouldn't recommend or use them again. read more

I was excited to have a good locksmith so nearby and close to my home and business. I am a realtor and refer locksmiths all the time. I called in for Absolute to come and open a safe in my closet because I saw one of their employees doing a job down the street and he gave me confidence that he would be able to crack it. I finally called and they sent someone out. The locksmith was nice and did complete the work (not cracking the safe, he drilled it and I am not even sure the safe is secure), however when I was presented with a $662 bill for opening a safe and replacing with a new locking mechanism, I was in shock. He gave me a very vague verbal quote initially $200 but never clarified what it would take to put in a new lock. 2.5 hours later, a large invoice and a locking mechanism with 2 screws, I feel like I was taken to the cleaners. Not good business in this day and age to work like that. When I complained, he took the $25 trip charge off the bill because I live up the hill from their office. So disappointed and I will NEVER refer this company again. Make sure to get a proper estimate beforehand and do not allow them to start until you know what the complete cost will be. If Ben told me it would have been that much, I would have left it alone. And not started the work. Very disappointed customer read more

It will cost twice as much for this locksmith. Will not give estimate because it was a Baldwin lock and said the parts are expensive. Go somewhere else. After i posted the Absolute Locksmith "customer service" told me she feels bad about my being unhappy, said the Baldwin lock costs more to repair since my Baldwin lock cost more than $1000. The lock can be bought for less than $300 online and less if you shop around. She asked me many times to tell her what I wanted them to do to make me happy, and so on. There was nothing for them to do for me since the damage was already done. There was nothing for them to do to make me happy. The customer service rep said the locksmith business is very competitive, and bad Yelp reviews are made by competitors. I am just a customer who got gouged. I am not a locksmith competitor. If I had checked Yelp first I would not have called them. read more

Just wanted to share my amazing quick experience with all of you. This business is a good example to how a 24 hours service company should be!! I called in at 6:30 AM to unlock and change the locks at my office since my Keyes were lost, they answered the phone right away. The guy on the other side was kind and understanding and knew exactly what I needed, they showed up after about 30 min and an hour after I made the call it was all done and done!!!
