Mike was professional, experienced, and thorough. His quote was detailed and all-inclusive -- covering drains, slope correction, flashing, and stucco -- with no surprises or "TBD" add-ons. It was clear and straightforward, which I really appreciated after dealing with unexpected change orders from the company we ultimately hired. Even though we didn't work with All Weather this time, I wanted to leave a review because their approach stood out in the best way. I'd absolutely consider them for future projects and recommend others take their bid seriously.

After waiting without receiving anything, I followed up with Arturo by text and was told that he would send the quote later that day. Four days passed, and I still did not receive the written estimate or any update. I sent another follow-up message and received no response at all. The only positive part of my experience was communicating with their staff, Abigail. The person responding to my texts, who I believe was Abigail, was responsive and helpful whenever I reached out to the company's main number. Unfortunately, despite her responsiveness, I still had difficulty getting the information I needed from the technician assigned to my project. I understand that delays can happen, but timely communication and following through on commitments are important. Based on my experience, I was disappointed by the lack of responsiveness and would encourage the company to improve communication between their technicians and potential customers.

We made it clear our priority was getting back into our bedrooms quickly due to mold remediation, but the project took about a month, leaving our family of five in the living room. At times, the work felt rushed more of a "get in and get out" approach than careful, detailed workmanship. The window installation had to be redone due to damaged frames, and we had to ask multiple times to get it sitting flush. Interior caulking around the windows had visible excess material and was not properly tooled, and still appears uneven after touch-ups. I didn't notice this until after the final walk through, but on one window, the interior corner seems to have a hole in it or uneven seal after the 2nd install. On the exterior, there are areas with bubbling and "alligatoring," along with sections that were not properly blended to match the surrounding texture. One area was initially painted over despite bubbling until we pointed it out. Paint was also left on nearby fixtures, including our exterior camera. We also experienced a pinhole leak in a copper line in the same work area shortly after completion. While it was eventually fixed, there was initial pushback. We were billed for hauling and cleanup, but still ended up handling some debris ourselves. A partial adjustment was made after raising the issue. To their credit, they did return to address some items. However, the process required ongoing oversight, and we had to repeatedly point out issues to get them corrected. Overall, the job was completed, but the workmanship and experience did not meet expectations for the price.

The guys who are American Heritage (Jaime and Antonio) are exceptional. My house flooded in early…read more2023 after a series of rainstorms hit Los Angeles. I first reached out to Jaime and Antonio after several failed attempts with other "specialists" to solve the flooding and remediate the damage. They immediately came to the house and began to assess the problems, beginning with a plan to isolate the source(s) of the flooding. This initial step involved tarping the house and waterproofing the exterior walls. As the rains continued, we discovered that the house continued to flood notwithstanding the initial preventative steps. This sounds bad (and it was), but the only reason we were able to identify the source of the flooding was because of the preventative work done by Jaime and Antonio and their on-site inspections of my home during and after each rainstorm. Throughout this time, Jaime and Antonio stayed in close communication with me via phone and text, and were immediately responsive each time an issue arose (which was often). The flooding issues ultimately proved exceptionally challenging, and would require coordination over many months among American Heritage, the Los Angeles Dep't of Water & Power, my electricians, and my general contractor. As part of the solution, American Heritage needed to trench two sides of my house, install a French drain on one side of the house, install a separate drain on another side of the house, build up and waterproof the existing foundation, and remediate the flooded rooms (which included mold remediation). Throughout this process, Jaime and Antonio clearly explained the scope of each problem and offered proposed solutions, and welcomed my on-site inspections and questions at every stage of the remediation/construction. After their work was completed, Antonio and Jaime continued to check-in prior to and after subsequent rainstorms to ensure they had solved the flooding problems. This included multiple visits (which they did not charge me for) to ensure everything stayed dry. The value I received from their service was worth every dollar. House flooding is one of the more stressful and disruptive events that can happen in life. I hope it never happens to you. If it does, call American Heritage. You'll be glad you did. You will want them on your team.

Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. Shoutout to Mario! They really respected our home and were very considerate of us during construction. THEY LEFT A DRY-ROTTED THRESHOLD in place, and it still leaks! My HOA Board hired them to fix a leaky balcony issue in my unit in February 2012, and IT STILL LEAKS. They said they "did what they were hired to do," yet when it didn't fix the leak they just dusted off their hands and walked away. How can you call yourself a leak and water damage repair expert if the area still leaks after you repaired it?? They didn't even do a leak test after they finished the work - the leak was re-discovered when it rained 2 months later. Oh, and did I mention they left a dry-rotted threshold in place? It stated right on the front page of their contract (which I didn't see until way later) that the "threshold was severely water-damaged," and yet they just water-proofed right over it instead of replacing it. When I left my original YELP review a couple months after they did the work, they made me take it down before they would return and replace the threshold and address the problem. So I removed my review and called them to come back out, only to have Cameron (the owner, I believe) turn around and say he never agreed to do the job. Do the job?? You mean repair the shoddy work you did in the first place? What terrible customer service, not to mention that he was extremely rude every time I had contact with him. I didn't technically hire him - the HOA Board did - but I paid a huge chunk of the bill, and it's MY HOUSE that is still leaking. The neighbors downstairs had to replace their kitchen due to mold issues resulting from the leak, too. Absolute's website actually says "We seal leaks and we get it right the first time." I had to laugh when I read that! Then why do I still have a leak? And a dry-rotted threshold? It also says "We've literally never met a problem we couldn't solve. When there's a problem in your home, we understand you need it fixed NOW." Um, yeah, mine was supposedly fixed in February 2012 and still leaks in October 2014, so thanks for fixing that leak. (Side note: we have now hired a new company to fix the leak, at an additional cost of several thousand dollars after paying Absolute over $9000 the first time.) Do not hire this company. They do not stand by their work - even when they say they will fix the problem they didn't fix the first time! (In response to Bryan from Absolute's rebuttal - which is chalk full of lies): Bryan - you were very nice when you came to do a follow up inspection, and you actually admitted the threshold was dry rotted and should have been replaced. Cameron later admitted the same, but did not follow through with his promise to replace the threshold and fix the problem - and I have witnesses to how rude he was to me. My assistant heard the entire conversation! As you can see by the photos I attached, the threshold was not only dry-rotted but also covering up the source of the leak your company was hired to repair. My HOA Board hired you - I already said that - but it is MY HOME you left leaking and in disrepair. You are a leak detection and repair specialist that left a dry-rotted threshold in place, covering the leak source. When Cameron was informed it STILL LEAKED, he first agreed to help resolve the problem and then said he never committed to it. You also have two listings on YELP for some reason. The other one has reviews very similar to mine, which is 100% honest. Instead of fighting bad reviews, you should fight to not get them in the first place by being accountable for your work. If you're hired to fix a leak and it STILL LEAKS when you are done, you didn't do your job. PERIOD. Also, my HOA Board is definitely NOT happy with your work since they are now paying for it to be re-done, and I am not a huge fan of the way they have handled this situation, either. They should have held your company accountable. You also did not come inspect my doors last week nor did a 3rd party collect an inspection fee from me - it was your worker Jaime. I did receive the refund, which is why I didn't mention it in my review. When you and Cameron inspected the threshold/doors over a year ago or even two years ago, you both admitted the threshold should have been replaced. So, no, you did not fix the issues you state you would have if there were any. I am done trying to get you to admit your wrongs. The photos speak for themselves. You were hired to fix a leak, and you did not. You also did not replace the dry rotted threshold you identified IN WRITING. Those, sir, are the facts. read more

First off this company is amazing!!!I can not thank Cameron and Absolute Consulting enough for the help and service they provided! He was an extremely honest , professional and caring person that came to the rescue! Recently i had a terrible mold issue in my apartment. It had a few floods where my landlord did not clean the raw sewage properly and did not replace any carpets. This created a mold problem through out my carpets and even on the ceiling in my bathroom. After a long battle with my landlord and his supervisor, they "cleaned" it several times, wrote several inspections and replaced a few things. Since i was extremely sick still, I was concerned about wether or not this was done correctly. The original inspector "G & W environmentalist" refused to test where the visible problems were, and ignored me. I did not trust him and still had my doubts. I originally found absolute consulting on google and contacted them. I asked if they provided any services regarding just READING the inspection reports to educate me about what i was looking at. Within 10 minuets I had Cameron call me and ready to go over this for me. I emailed him all three reports. As soon as I did I had an immediate response about what he read and how to prevent it in the future. Even better he offered to come and do an inspection himself to 100% make sure it was handled correctly by the company my landlord hired. He came over and immediately started to work. When I was dealing with this problem originally I tried to show the inspector the visible signs and expressed my concerns. He literally ignored me. Cameron listened. He was extremely patient with everything I had to say, and tested everywhere I was concerned about. HE was the ONLY person who gave me a straight answer and said it like it is. Again I cannot thank him enough. Cameron taking the time to review this for me, educating me, doing an inspection, all of this made it possible for me to feel reassured and comfortable in my home again. Mold remediation from a sunroom and waterproofing exterior where water was seeping through bottom of the foundation. We called Absolute for an estimate on the above remediation and repair and they promptly showed up the following day to assess the damage. Jaime and his team were great. After a few iterations in getting the original environmental report over to Absolute and a few hiccups with the scheduling, we finally got the work started about a week later as they had a large job ahead of us. Our project was also a large one that required several phases of moving a water heater, digging trenches, waterproofing the exterior and foundation walls, pouring concrete footers, and full prep and remediation on the interior room. This included setting up containment chambers and remediating the walls with an antiviral solution and applying sealers. This was later followed up by restoration of the interior as well as exterior building materials and paint to match the existing wall colors. Finally, all work materials were removed from the premises and landscaping replaced back to its original condition. These guys are top notch and the quality of their work is outstanding. I highly recommend this company to handle all water intrusion and mold remediation issues and in retrospect for environmental testing as well. They are a true one-stop shop. read more

A+ experience with Absolute! About a month ago (after a serious rain storm by LA standards), I discovered a significant leak in my bathroom. Not only was water rushing into the house through a light fixture, but I also noticed a significant amount of water in the heating ducts beneath the floor. After frantically calling around for help, I came across Absolute. The second I spoke with Cameron, I was immediately put at ease. He agreed that I had an urgent problem, carefully explained the process we would go through, had a team to my house the same day (a Sunday no less), and personally came to my house to look over the situation. Within a week, he and his team repaired a section of my roof, dried out the ceiling and four walls, replaced a section of the heating duct, and inspected and repaired many failing window and door frames. He treated my house as if it were his, never made any decisions without a prior conversation, and the final bill was exactly as he stipulated. About a week ago I had found a water leak from my roof that caused some mold in my upstairs bathrooms and we could not figure out why my little ones were getting sick. I found this company on Yelp and was so impressed with the reviews. When I called in and spoke to the girls the customer service was above and beyond and when I explained my situation to the owner, he came out personally that same day to inspect my property. He was glad he came that same day finding the mold had extended to a big part of my celling. You could understand a mothers worry when her child is getting ill and how quickly I wanted the situation handled. Cameron/Bryan had guys come out 2 days later to completely take out all the mold and fix the drywall and charged me such a reasonable price for how much work they actually did. Cameron came out and checked for mold after I had a leak repaired. Although thankfully there was no mold, there was a suspicious spot. I opted to err on the side of caution. He then sent his crew out to cleanse and treat the exposed area. Cameron and his team are the ABSOLUTE best. I am a repeat customer, and it's very comforting to know that a company provides such great service with thorough attention to detail and professionalism. When I first suspected the leak, Cameron was the first call I made. He assured me that he would be out to look at it, after the plumber fixed it. Sure enough, he traveled from afar to inspect, diagnose and suggest a remedy. I wouldn't trust a potential mold issue to anyone else. This guy really knows his stuff. After a week of unusually heavy rain in December, issues neglected by the previous owner of our house turned into major leak/water/mold issues. I had a deck that was leaking into the bedroom below it. They came and figured out what the problem was, and without leaving a trace of their presence, took care of the entire issue. It's better than new. Overall these guys are really great, especially when they get working. I've renovated three homes and these guys are at the top of my list. The workers were punctual, friendly, and truly busted their butts. More importantly, it felt like they took pride in their workmanship and that's something I haven't seen in a while. Two weeks ago I reach to Absolute to fix my property. Not able being onsite to see the work Bryan, Cameron, Miguel and all their staff were so attentive! I loved the customer service and their work is exceptional. They would call me very often to give me updates about the work done, send me pictures of the places to be fixed, before and after pictures. I am very pleased and glad I hired them for the work! They wont do anything without first asking you and the owners inspect the job themselves and after a month they go and visit the property again to see that everything is good!! Did a great job taking care of a molding problem in one of my apartment units. Great service and friendly staff. Called Absolute Maintenance for a quote on the general inspection on our new house that turned up some possible mold issues. They came out only a day later and did a FREE inspection. At the end of it, the inspector (Cameron) told us that only a small leak was found and we didn't need to do any demolition but instead a quick repair. As other reviewers have said, these guys are really honest and efficient. He sent us an email the next day with his findings and a quote for optional upgrades. There was no hard sell at all. That's when we came across Endswell Restoration Services, and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made for the situation. There are not enough words to do justice to the absolute professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail that Irakli and Michael displayed throughout the entire process. Every step was thoughtfully and clearly communicated, and there was never a single moment where we didn't feel like we were in the absolute best hands. Honestly, we actually looked forward to having these guys over every day; it truly felt like a team effort, and they were incredibly buttoned-up every single step of the way. They were also so thoughtful and deeply respectful of the fact that we have a toddler and two dogs in the house. They didn't provide a clear order of services and multiple people seemed to be coordinating the clean up but all insufficiently. We had to repeated call the office to get updates and know when people were coming into the house. The cleaning crew did a good job on the attic insulation and vent cleaning. But we had to call the powers washers back because they missed a few spots outside. They had the main interior cleaners come before all the other work was done so we had to ask them to reclean the house (we found a lot of dirt and footprints in the house). There was mismanagement of the workers by the company. Our main agent couldn't make it and the replacement they sent to pick up our check straight up lied and ghosted us. All in all, the job was complete and they were open to redoing work when it wasn't done. So we appreciated that.
