Fast forward....we needed to have a company fix our mistake and open our walls after water damage from an upstairs shower. They provided the drying, opening of the walls, drywall repair and painting. Let me tell you, you cannot tell we had an issue!!! Our ceiling is perfectly matched, the paint and texture!! We had this company come to do smoke remediation after the Eaton fire. They were very kind and thorough through the initial visit but things went a bit array after. They didn't provide a clear order of services and multiple people seemed to be coordinating the clean up but all insufficiently. We had to repeated call the office to get updates and know when people were coming into the house. The cleaning crew did a good job on the attic insulation and vent cleaning. But we had to call the powers washers back because they missed a few spots outside. They had the main interior cleaners come before all the other work was done so we had to ask them to reclean the house (we found a lot of dirt and footprints in the house). There was mismanagement of the workers by the company. Our main agent couldn't make it and the replacement they sent to pick up our check straight up lied and ghosted us. All in all, the job was complete and they were open to redoing work when it wasn't done. So we appreciated that. read more

Dependable Water Damage was Fantastic all around. We had mold growing in our trunk and seats of one of cars from a rolled up wet carpet (long story). It smelled absolutely gag-inducing horrible, the spores were sprouting in visible patches in the trunk and seats, and we wondered if the car was a loss. Dependable came in handled it all, in a really efficient and impressive way. It was a 3-4 day process of removing the wet carpet, remediating the mold, running a multitude of air scrubbers and filtering processes, detailing the car, more air scrubbers, etc. The scheduling was very efficient and responsive (Sergio, John and Stephanie) with constant updates on timeframes and steps accomplished or pending. The techs were great (Alfonso, Armando, and team) as were the detailers (Diana and Tony). The car now looks (and smells) new. The process was excellent. Our experience couldn't have been better. Dependable Restoration provided amazing service in a very difficult situation from the insurance company. I called them when I noticed pieces falling off my ceiling in the garage. They helped identify the problem, coordinate everything, getting a plumber to identify and fix the leak, asbestos testing, and working with the insurance company for payment. Unfortunately, the insurance company gave the go ahead to start work, and then backtracked and denied the claim after work had already started. Thousands of dollars of work had already been done, but Dependable Restoration took full responsibility for the mix up and did not charge me for any of the work done, other than the insurance deductible which was our original payment agreement anyway. They made sure the project was resolved in a safe state, and covered the cost of the asbestos testing themselves (which was over $1000). I really appreciate them taking full responsibility for the miscommunication with the insurance company and resulting costs. Throughout all this, they were very friendly and understanding. read more

I had water damage under my kitchen sink and tried calling a few contractors. Most of them came here, telling me things like my tiled countertop will fall apart when rebuilding the cabinet box under my sink and how crazy expensive it will be. John from Dependable was the only one to say that it wouldn't be an issue, and that the other people were overinflating the job. How right he was! He was great all the way through, always got back to me within 24 hours, and most of the time within an hour. His crew, led by Juan, did a great job, dealing with plumbing, electrical, painting, and floor and backsplash installation. I am overall super happy with how everything came out! Negatives: as with most contractors (I guess), they 'disappear' sometimes. Juan would say he'd be back tomorrow, but then disappear for 2 days, without even contacting me. A job that would take about a week, took 3 weeks as there were many days they didn't come. There are some minor imperfections that I pointed out during the final walk-through(3/30/2021), and was promised they would come back to amend but that hasn't happened yet. I will definitely update this review if/when that happens. UPDATE: Today (4/19/2021) the crew came back and fixed the minor issues. Everything is perfect now!
