I love how empowering the women are here. I never felt out of place or uncomfortable. I'm not in the best shape, but I never felt judged or anything like that. The trainers make a point to welcome you to every class and always stay behind to answer any questions or just to chitchat. I go roughly twice a week and love seeing familiar faces. I use ClassPass so booking a class is always super easy. The environment is clean. They offer water bottles if you forget to bring your own. They provide mats, weights, and whatever else you may need for the class. I would recommend this studio for sure.

Everyone is welcome the same--like an old friend, like a smart badass person who is capable of living their best life, like a wise old soul who has every amazing chance to learn to trust themselves and make the decisions to move, breathe, and sweat from a place of self awareness, empowerment, and a desire to find their own warmest light. The instructors are amazing. Barre3 has its own formula of balancing full-body strength work with stretching and cardio to give a well-rounded experience, but each instructor brings their own personality and passion to their classes, making each session familiar enough for you to be your best in that moment while being unique, different, and an absolute adventure! Every time I come to barre3 I am full of joy and so much happiness and excitement to be there. Every time I leave the studio and go out into my life I feel strong, confident, and really proud of myself. My cup is full. And then the day after every class--my body feels the workout in a really big way! My barre3 classes provide a great way to balance the big muscle-focused work I do in strength sessions at a more all-purpose gym and the intense cardio I do on a spin bike. There's a huge emphasis on the smaller muscle groups that too often get ignored, and incorporating barre into my exercise schedule helps me make sure that my cranky right hip and my arthritic knee have enough muscular development surrounding the joints that I am able to complete all of my other workouts--stronger, happier, more free and confident! I can not recommend this place enough. It feels like home. And each time I am there I am reminded to feel completely at home in my own beautiful, strong, wildly imperfect body.

I have been hearing about barre for the last few years but not sure 100% what it was all about…read more Seeing the ballet bar I assumed some cheesy easy fad workout. I go to orange theory and lift weights at my gym so this never appealed to me. My gf that also does orange theory told me about barre and she takes it at a different location. She told me it "leans you out" and a good addition to OTF, I was intrigued. There was a Groupon listed for this studio and figured it was my time to try it out. My first class was a doozy! I arrived with my sticky socks and was ready for the class. What I didn't expect was how 2lb weights and leg workouts would kick my butt and question my own fitness level. This is no workout like I have done before. After a class of my legs shaking and arms burning I was hooked! I try to take this class then go to OTF and I am wiped after. The instructions can go quickly sometimes and it takes a few classes to get the terms. I wish they had some more beginner classes or something more often so new folks had the correct movements or to even understand a correct "tuck" or "pulse". All movements are small, I mean barely moving, just tightening your muscles. After my Groupon ends I will be signing up for unlimited. This is a great studio with great instructors. I'm happy that my friend and Groupon expanded my fitness horizons!

My partner and I discovered Lift when we were coming out of 18 months of Covid restrictions and…read moreneeding a way to get back to healthy habits, exercise, and stress reduction. I found the studio online and of all the studios I looked at, it had the most variety of classes at times that worked for us (after regular working hours and on weekends). We signed up for the initial $20 unlimited 2 weeks pass and crammed in as many classes as we could over that time. Every class we took and every instructor we worked with was fantastic. I did 2 of the video classes as well. Everyone was kind and welcoming. And we loved that every single class and instructor reinforced that everyone's yoga practice is individual and we should feel free to modify as needed and ask for help when needed. We have since purchased multiple of the 30 class packs but I think we'll switch to the monthly rate as soon as we've used all of our classes. We look forward to the 2-3 classes a week we attend; they've become so much a part of our weekly routine that everything feels "off" if we miss one! The fact that Lift has now added a John's Creek location is even better for us, since we split time between my home in Alpharetta and my partner's house in John's Creek - so wherever we are, we can find a class time and location that works. Final note: I can only assume the handful of people giving 1-star reviews and complaining about the studio being "activist" and "political" are anti-maker folks who bristled at being asked to wear a mask and social distance inside the studio. We gladly wore our masks for the first several months we attended and continue to distance while inside the studio when requested. Yoga is not a-political. The very essence of yoga requires truth, justice, peace, and learning - and yes, activism. Anyone who doesn't understand that doesn't understand yoga.

I really appreciate everything she did to lead an authentic yoga session, and the extra touches such as the handouts explaining traditional yoga poses! I will be back - thank you Lift Yoga and Kember!

There really is no "you can go to any gym if you work aboard." each gym has specific benefits. If it doesn't match up boom not allowed. For example: NY has 14 gyms that do not allow you to go. Period! Membership offers a "all gyms" with hike up in $$$. So you pay extra for nothing. Look on line and it shows you how few gyms are interchangeable. Hot tubs need updating. Water is low so it hits you below chest with only 3 jets in the entire tub aimed at your back. Just like a motel would have.
