Several townhomes in my development had serious rot issues due to a construction error. Many owners used a construction firm to repair the damage and costs were $30K to $40K. I am on the Board of our association and the multi-story walkway that serves as entry points into our 52 units had been in danger of collapsing due to rot. Previous Board knew about this but of course did not know what to do and so when I had been elected, it was up to me to deal with this headache. Everyone expected special assessments. Good price, fast & excellent work, amazing customer service. We have two melon-sized holes open up on the wood paneling of our 100-year-old Tudor. Oleg examined the whole house for us, pointing out a lot of quick fixes we could make on our own to prevent rot. They scheduled us just a week or so out to replace the siding. and replaced a large section along the roofline in 2 days. The work was top-notch. But the most impressive thing to me was that there was an honest misunderstanding (due mostly to my poor communication) that required some work to be redone. We are very happy with the work Absolute Rot Repair did! We had wood rot on a column due to water splashing from a clogged rain chain gutter on our front deck and needed to have it replaced. We decided to get both columns replaced at the same time. The wooden post inside the columns was found to be wet due to the design of the house, so Oleg's crew came up with a great idea to pour concrete and attach new wooden posts on an anchor inside each column. They also applied a sealed barrier around the bottom of each column to prevent water from getting in. The new columns are better than they were before and are more robust. They also replaced rotted wood on a couple of vertical trims in our backyard and sealed off a gap on the adjacent base boards that water was getting into. Finally, they replaced seals around our garage doors that had deteriorated and cracked. They worked overtime on Saturday to get the work done as quick as possible. We are happy with the quality and the hard work Oleg's crew put into it. We highly recommend them for structural wood and seal damage! Great business! read more

We had extensive water damage in our kitchen. Water was leaking from the joint between the water supply and the dishwasher. When we noticed the kitchen floor was bulging up, it was too late. We called a plumber and he found the leak and fixed it. Then the mitigation company came and removed all floorings, cabinets, drywalls, and fiberglass that were moldy. We had our home insurance adjuster inspect the damage and he gave us his estimate for the repair. The two estimate were close, so I agreed to have the repair done. After some negotiations we signed a contract. We decided to upgrade the countertop material and replace the window at the same time. We purchased our house less than a year ago and discovered we had a carpenter ants issue a few months ago. One thing led to another and we ultimately found out we had quite a bit of internal rot that was attracting these ants. We called Oleg and they came out instantly to give us a free quote. When the weather improved they were able to do the project and just finished up. The house looks untouched despite all of the fascia and siding they had to rip off and replace to get to the internal rot. I found Oleg through homeadvisor. He consulted on rotted wood at the bottom of my windows and gave me advise on installing flashing that was superior advice to what other contractors had recommended. The job was scheduled to begin on 6/14, but they were a no show.  Contacted them same day, rescheduled start for 6/16. On 6/18, I called the owner to complain about the methods and competency of his subcontractors.  He told me to send him a text detailing my concerns and that he would discuss them with the subs.  As it turned out, those concerns were never resolved. On 6/23, the owner requested, and I wrote, a check for $5000 as a deposit for purchase of supplies (siding, flashing, Azek trim). These supplies were later delivered, but without the receipts that I had earlier requested to document expenses. After two weeks of part time work (2-3 days per week @ 6 hours /day), the owner came out to inspect progress on the morning of 6/28.  As soon as he arrived he was taking pictures of the work and talking on the phone.  He explained to me then the many things that were wrong, and how much work (effectively all of it) would have to be redone. He was quite clear about the many defects and even remarked on the laziness / shoddy workmanship of his subcontractors.  Long story short, the installed siding and gable vents were of the wrong type and installed incorrectly, flashing of the wrong type and misinstalled, existing underrlayment (Tyvek / Blue Skin / Viccor) cut and damaged during removal of window and door trims and new underlayment sloppily reinstalled in other areas, lag screws penetrating and damaging the roof (scaffolding anchors), etc.  Fired them the next morning 6/29. They left all tools and scaffolding as well as a large pile of siding, flashing, Azek, and construction debris (for the second time in as many weeks). The initial job estimate was for approximately $11000 (January).  That estimate went up in June to approximately $16000 as the price of lumber and materials skyrocketed.  I never signed any other paperwork other than the two estimates. Subsequently, on 7/16, they offered me $4000 in exchange for not taking any legal action "for any miss understandings". I declined the offer due to the fact that additional damage that they had caused need to be assessed and calculated. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid...... read more

I had a wall that was rotten because water from a gutter was running down to the foundation. The water ran down a stud and pooled at the bottom. They made the effort to come out and worked on it very quickly compared to all the others I tried. They did a great job repairing and putting on new siding.
