I had new JamesHardie Cedarmill siding installed by SidePro in fall 2024. The biding phase of the project was hassle free working with Ryan. While other siding company estimators tried to apply time pressure to decisions and were very "salesy" in nature, Ryan felt very transparent, answered the questions I had, and worked on my time. Pricing was competitive, and scheduling ended up being pretty straighforward, with my project starting a week before original projections. The crew assigned to my project was Jose and Ismael Fernandez; from the moment they set foot on the project site these guys were respectful, courteous, and professional. At each step during the project they checked in with me on project status, and ensured I was happy with the work/results. They answered all my (somewhat basic) questions, and were very customer focused throughout the project. Well, I wish I could leave a 5-star review, but there were some pretty serious challenges with our project... mostly due to serious communication issues on Side-Pro's end. Choosing to go with Side-Pro was easy as Matt was great to work with on negotiating and setting up the contract. He's very down to earth and very responsive. When it came time to do the siding, Duane and his team were great. Duane told me to contact him if there was anything that would prevent getting a 5-star review. I took this seriously and this part of the process went very smoothly. There are a few small issues with the siding, but nothing overly noticeable, so we are pretty happy with the work done there. Then, 10 weeks passed with very little communication from the painting team. I had to ask repeatedly about getting on the schedule and never received initial contact from Mo until I asked for the manager's name. I said I understood the challenges with the weather, I just wanted to know if our contract would be upheld at that point. Once I asked for the manager's name, we were magically on the schedule for later that week. Why should it come to that? I find it sad that, by waiting patiently, I was being ignored. The painting went smoothly and the actual team was really nice and extremely hard working. My final complaint falls with the billing department. We had financing, but since there were some repairs that fell outside of the initial bid, we also had to pay a balance. We were sent invoices with incorrect numbers constantly and, even after we had sent in checks, we were still given incorrect numbers. I pointed out how confusing this was and tried to tell Rena that she was sending incorrect information and she just told me to have a nice week. Very, very poor communication and I'm glad we were paying attention or we would have overpaid a significant amount. Overall, the house looks great, so I give them four stars. If you aren't a firm and organized communicator, however, this might not be the right choice for your siding project. read more

We contracted with Side-Pro to replace all of the cedar siding on our house with HardiePlank, paint the trim, and install new gutters. We signed a contract on 2021-06-25 knowing that they were booked through September, but Side-Pro was the best company we'd talked to so we were happy to wait. They started in October, and Duane the foreman and his crew(s) were uniformly wonderful to work with. Teodore and another worker were responsible for removing all the existing siding. They showed me several areas of concern throughout and gave me a chance to fix things up (mostly installing insulation where it was missing or had been destroyed) before they moved on with installing the housewrap and siding. They put new, flush-mounted blocks in for all our hose bibbs, outlets, and lights as well that look so beautiful compared to what was there previously. Teodore even installed a custom laundry vent door for us instead of the one they had brought, something they really didn't have to do. Throughout they were extremely communicative, always on time, and some of the cleanest and nicest contractors we've ever had the pleasure to work with. If you're going to have strangers all over your house for a week you want them to be awesome, and Duane and his crews always were. Due to fall/winter weather in WA we ended up getting gutters before paint, but the gutter crew that Side-Pro sent out was from "Above All Gutter Guys" (https://www.yelp.com/biz/above-all-gutter-guys-seattle) and they were likewise excellent to work with. The gutters look so crisp, they do a great job funneling water away from our house, and Carlos suggested some new gutter runs we hadn't considered before that made them significantly less noticeable in our backyard. Another great experience. Their paint lead Mo was also great to work with. There was some scheduling complexity due to weather but he let us know exactly what they were waiting for weather-wise and always kept us updated on when they were coming over to paint. Mo and his crew worked fast and did a great job on all the trim and roof edges. They cleaned everything before they painted it and our trim has never looked better. We had a heat pump installed shortly after the siding went on, and due to a miscommunication with that contractor ended up with a 3" hole in our brand-new siding that was empty. We asked Duane about it and he sent out his crew to fix despite it not being their fault or covered in our contract. That sort of customer service is incredibly hard to find these days and the crew did a great job sealing the hole given some gnarly spacing constraints. Throughout this process we were extremely impressed with Side-Pro, we wouldn't hesitate to call them back out. read more

We recently had our siding replace d by side pro. They replaced all of our siding, fascia boards, gutters, and painted. They were responsive and understanding from the beginning to end. They helped us come up with some accent siding ideas that made our house look modern and less like a beige box like it did before. We found water damage, insect damage, missing flashing, and missing house wrap after they removed the old siding. The SidePro team repaired and replaced as they went upgrading everything, installing new wrap, flashing around vents, adding flashing where the deck met the house, new back plates for electronics and even repaired all the water and insect damage. They even caulked everything. We had them also install a pergola over the garage as well and they did a great job designing that too. The hardiplank material that they used is high quality and everything came out great. The new gutters work so much better. We had them install gutter guards as well and it made a huge difference. Painting went pretty fast and came out exactly as we had hoped. After the house vents were blocked after being painted over, they even came back out and fixed them. Their entire crew was great from beginning to end and our house looks like a brand new house.We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for any of these services. In 2022, they replaced a roof on my 2-story house that included demolition & installation of new 25-year asphalt composition roofing, replacing damaged plywood underlayment, new soffits, gutters & downspouts. In 2023 they will demo 30+ year old windows, install new energy efficient windows, demo existing cedar siding & install new Hardie Board Siding & painting of the entire exterior. We had Side-Pro replace the siding on our home with Hardiplank Color Series about 3 years ago, Calvin our Salesman and the entire crew were repectful, clean and enjoyable to be around. There was NO reason for me to have any issue in recommending them to others, which I have done. I have recently found out, that a neighbor of our using Side-Pro because they like our house & our recommendation is having a terrible experience! "I called Side-pro for help after a company I hired installed a roof that ended up leaking. A gentleman came out to review the situation and showed me as well as explained what had happen to the original installation. I was emailed a fix that included a detailed proposal for making the roof durable for many more years which included new drain pipes. I had the option of including the drain pipes. I chose the entire make over. Two young men came and tore off the entire roof and installed a new roof in two days. (The former company took weeks.) They were careful to clean up all the debris from the old installation. Later a young man came to install the drain pipes which are working more efficiently in draining the water off the roof. I was impressed by the product as well as the people installing. The cost was slightly more than the original installation, but I received more quality and faster service and I haven't had any leaks through Spring, Summer and Fall. I needed a hole cut in the siding of my brand new house to mount a light fixture in my back yard patio. I called Side Pro and talked to Sam who said they would be happy to do the job. In less than a week he sent one of his workers who did an excellent job of cutting a hole and mounting a block for the light. The work was done quickly (35 minutes) and looks perfect. Side-Pro didn't actually do any work for me. But that's why I am happy with them: We recently bought a house. The inspector said there was an expensive problem with the window framing; in fact we negotiated a discount on the house for that reason. Side-Pro was local and highly rated, so I scheduled an appointment for them to give a quote on the work. They were professional and polite and communicated quickly and well (there was some back-and-forth as I needed to change the date). And the first thing out of Karl's mouth when he arrived was that the window framing was fine, and didn't need any work. Then he walked around the house for me, pointing out potential problems to look for, although he didn't see anything serious. So they came out for free, spent some time giving me free advice, and didn't take on an expensive job that I was primed to pay for. I had half the siding replaced and the whole house repainted. The work crew did a great job replacing the crappy Weyerhaeuser siding that was on there. The drawback is the cost; $24k to replace half the siding with Hardi-board, though it was all the most difficult segments. They told me the rest of the siding (now at 20 years old) will last at least until the next painting cycle. They cleaned up all the mess and brought their own Honey Bucket. Side-Pro, what a class act! My husband and I discovered the company at the SEA Home show in Feb 2020. They had serval booths in the show and all representatives were friendly and knowledgeable. They shared information and answered questions, never did we feel pressured, plus they had a great magnet clip give away . After the show, I called the Side-Pro office to ask few questions. I was fortunate and was referred to Russ De Arment, the sales manager. Russ was able to answer my questions over the phone to my satisfaction and was even able to come out the same day to do a walk through and give an estimate. Russ truly presents himself as a contracting professional. He is honest and presents facts, not what you might want to hear to get your business. I had a siding question on my son's new construction house and Russ even went to his house to look for me and wrote up a suggest list of repairs for my son. He did this kind gesture without being compensated. The installers were fantastic and treated my house like it was their own. They were respectful on my property and left it in better shape than when they arrived, this was especially important to the field supervisor Duane. As with any project, there are always follow up items. I found one small item and within a day of me notifying Russ, he sent Duane, another amazing team member, who not only took care of the punch list item, he even fixed something for me that wasn't even siding related! Finally, the painting supervisor, Mo, this is sounding redundant, but another amazing Side-Pro team member. Once again, knowledgeable, reliable, and fun to work with. In SEA, rain is an outdoor painter's worst enemy. Mo did a great job of communicating schedule changes immediately and always responded to my emails quickly. Like the siders, the painters were professional and did a great job. I have had my house painted three times in 20 years, and by far, this two-man crew was quick, efficient and did quality work. I have a 4500, three story house and they completed the work in less than 4 days. In summary, I got three bids, Side-Pro was the least expensive by a few hundred, but that is not why I went with them. He seemed knowledgeable and we were looking forward to getting his estimate. He left me message a couple of days later to say one of the products we were interested in was discontinued and we needed to talk about a substitute. I called back, left a message and never heard back. Called a second time and still no response. We'd gotten other estimates in and needed to make a decision so we went with someone else. We had a great experience with Sidepro! During the inspection on a house we recently purchased we found that the house had LP siding. We had to do our due diligence and have 2 contractors provide us estimates on the siding replacement, a few roof issues and re-painting the house. Russell, the Sales Manager, was available for an appointment the next business day after calling and provided us with an estimate by the end of the appointment day. The estimate was at least $6000 less than the other contractors we compared them to. We needed the work to be completed by our closing date which was a 3 week time frame and they managed to do so. The other contractors were quoting us an April completion. Russell was also extremely helpful in choosing our paint color. He went out to the property multiple times putting up paint samples so we new we had the right choice. It was an overall great experience and we highly recommend them! read more

Horrible. I had them come out to bid on my house siding on June 1. A few days pass by and the estimate hadn't come in yet. I text the guy (Richard) and he says he tried to email it but because of email IT issues their emails weren't going thru. He said he'd get it to me right away. Nothing comes. I then text them again on Monday June 8 asking where the quote is and I get another excuse, but a promise that it will be coming over that night. It is now Friday, June 12th and I still have no quote. How hard is it to email a quote??? If they can't send a simple price over the course of 2 weeks, how are they possibly gonna be reliable to rip off and replace your siding in one week? These guys saved me. Northwest Window and Doors (who had done a great job for us 20 years ago) completely botched the window and siding installation on our home and we had water leaks everywhere. At first, they came out to do demolition in order to determine how extensive the damage was and provide "not to exceed" cost estimate. I got a bid from Side-Pro to put siding on our newly constructed garage. Their bid was very reasonable in comparison to two others I also got. So glad I went with them, Side-Pro is very much a first class operation. We had some extensive problems with the construction of the garage due to faulty work by the contractor we used prior to the siding stage. John and DJ were very helpful in pointing out some issues and it ended up we were not able to have our garage sided until some structural things get remedied. We did have them put up hardi plank soffit coverings and finish up a little siding needed on the house. John is very knowledgeable about construction and had some good ideas for solutions to problems that were caused before they came on to the project. Side-Pro was so helpful and professional, the work they did on our house is excellent and I look forward to bringing them back when we get the garage issues corrected and it is ready for siding. In 2002 we had an addition constructed to our house. The contractor crew installed hardi plank on the structure. Over the years the plank began to deteriorate on the dormers where the plank met the roofline. I called hardi and our insurance company; both came out for inspections and both told us the plank had been improperly installed and the warranty was invalidated. NOT happy! After searching on-line, I called Side-Pro and spoke to Alysha. She was extremely helpful and informative about the process and their guarantees. She had the estimator Troy call me who eventually came out to give a bid. Troy came out several times, prior to start date, as I had questions and regarding the existing siding. Troy was always very helpful and answered all me questions with no BS and no upsell. The crew, lead Ricardo, Daniel and Rolman, and their supervisor Duane came for the work. I am VERY happy with Ricardo, Daniel and Rolman. All are hard workers and very conscientious starting early and staying late. They cleaned up at the end of each day and took care with the landscaping around the house. All were very polite and if I had questions Ricardo explained, also with no BS. As they worked they noticed other areas on the siding and roof that needed a fix so Ricardo explained the issues to me and they fixed those problems. These guys are great. Duane came to the site several times making sure the crew had what they needed and that I was happy with the progress and the work. At the completion of the job Duane came back and we inspected the work together again answering any questions I had. My neighbor later spoke to Duane regarding issues with Hardie on his house; Duane is researching a solution for him. From beginning to end my experience with Side-Pro was excellent. Everyone was professional, courteous and answered any questions directly with no confusion. Every employee, Alysha, Troy, Duane, Ricardo, Daniel and Rolman all went beyond just the basics of "just doing the job" and went "the extra mile" with customer service.
