First timer here and I entered I was pretty impressed with the location and just the vibes they had going on. They had a cool Italian style pasta food truck that has some items that looked good but not while having a beer. A taco truck would have been better or something that goes with the beer in my opinion. They have a fun and cool outdoor seating with little lounge areas if you have a small group of people. They have little propane fire pits that were perfect cause it was chilly. Love the ambiance. You have seating inside as well and more hangout spots like the Game room that was such a RAD thing to have at a brewery. They had PAC-MAN and other fun oldschool video games you can play plus a huge table area that you can hang with a group of friends. They had a pretty good selection of beers and also some seltzers and other alcoholic beverage for those who don't care for beer which was great. The guy who took our order was super chill and let us sample some of the beers before purchasing and keeping our tab open. To your right of grabbing your beer they have a fridge stocked up with their local beers so you can take home and enjoy as well and some cool merch wall with tshirts and stickers and cool bags and caps. If you want to have an event here they totally do that and the atmosphere is great and they way they redo the place for weddings and work events and other things is Great. While we were there someone was having a work Christmas event and they had their own reserved area as well. So you. An def reserve a spot there. Their bathrooms were clean and unique art on walls and all. I really loved everything about this place and can't wait to be back and hang with friends and enjoy cold beer. Thanks for a fun experience!

Dog friendly, good food, beer and music. Bartender was easy going and gave some great recommendations. I had a mexican cervesa and my husband had a SoCal Blonde. Beer tasted great and was cold!

Schlob Premium Ales: 100000000/10! Amazing atmosphere and top-tier service! shoutout to Sam the bartender for making the night unforgettable! Endless arcade gameplay (yes, including retro Mario!), fun jump houses for the kids, and an incredible Korean BBQ pop up at a great price. Perfect spot for all ages. Can't wait to go back!

Really cool place for beer and drinks. Super nice staff. Also liked how they have a small room with video games for the kids. Cool area outside to hang out and drinks. Tables and couches to relax and listen to music. Food vendors were on site so I think they rotate variety. Over all a cool place to have a beer and hang out. We will go back foe sure to try other beers.

Great menu variety. Great beers. We enjoyed the Belgian doubel, frog stout and night shift IPA. All were terrific I like they had a food truck at the ready. Too bad they were vegan. We are carnivores :)

Good vibes! Flight is a great deal at 10 bucks for five pours. My favorites were lavender lace, bee keeper, and liv aloha. Bartender was awesome and super friendly. One of my favorite breweries in the area and I will be back. Also on a Friday they are open until 10 despite what it says on Yelp! Happy they were open for karaoke night. My only critique is don't let people fill up their own personal water bottle on the community water spout...with covid raging and all.

As a first timer, I had a good time! Tucked away in an industrial park is this small, friendly hole in the wall. I'm pretty sure parking during the day might be a bit of a hassle, but of course, it really opens up in the evening. Street parking would be the next option, I thing that's the only real downside of going to Scholb, but it gives you time to work off that drink with a brisk walk, eh? There's a very friendly atmosphere here, with plenty of room to enjoy your drink or snack. The outside setup is a handful of picnic benches and patio sets, along with outdoor heaters. I don't remember seeing a firepit, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was one tucked away (it was dark). "Inside" are a bunch of high top setups, with a long table in the middle, and then another high top setup area where the cornhole equipment is. Plenty of room to drink and not have to worry about getting hit with a beanbag! The menu offers a decent selection of brews, hopefully you find one you like. I went with the Liv Aloha, which was light and crisp with a hit of pineapple, and I think my wife and her friends got the raspberry one. If you're indecisive like I am though, there is a wheel on the counter you can spin for a random pour. You can order pretzels and pizza to munch on while enjoying your brew and talking trash to your cornhole playing friends. If you want a sip of water, there's a pour spout mounted into the wall to the left of the register...innovate and brilliant idea! The restrooms are unisex, and very clean. I'll definitely be back! Also...don't make the mistake i did....check in on Yelp when you get there for a free taster, not when you're leaving. That speaks volumes when you have such a good time that you forget to do the fundamental check in! *puts on arnold shades* "I'll be back!"

I don't visit LA often at ALL but a good friend invited me to a brewery (drinks on him), so how could I say no? Jackson & Andrew were both super kind! Very attentive & very patient when I was figuring out what drinks I wanted to include in my flight, thanks for making the experience lovely. This is a LARGE space, lots of inside & outside seating and there's even a game room so you can have a silly little time while you drink. For my flight ($10), I chose the Liv Aloha (7/10), Summer Soulstice (8/10), Diablo's Daughter (great amount of spice, 9/10), PolyPear Sour (5/10), Lovely Jubbly (8/10) & I also checked in on here and got a free 6th so I went with the Beekeeper's Daughter which actually ended up being my favorite (10/10) The beer pretzel with cheese & whole grain mustard ($5) was a great addition to the drinks though the pretzel was a little too salty for my liking (8/10) Overall, great space, great staff, & great drinks!

Finally made it back (years later) and had a very good experience. The vibe is good and we enjoyed several beers. My only complaint is that the bartender seems to make the food also, so he would disappear for several minutes, behind a curtain, while the bar line grew. PolyPear Sour 2/5 Gun Shy White Stout 4/5 Classy Lass Brown 3/5 Bon Fuego smoked brown 3.5/5 Fog Topper nitro dry stout 2.5/5 Liv Aloha tropical lager 3.5/5 Tipsy Cow Belgian single 3.5/5 Bee Keeper's Daughter Gruit 4/5 Guava Queen Sour 2.5/5 Lavender and Lace Sour 3/5

Scholb Premium Ales is one of the newer breweries in the Torrance area. Nice roomie space. Good for familiers. Parking is in the industrial plaza. Good amount of space. Service was good. Hazys had decent flavor. Flight pricing was good. Flight - $10 IPA - $8

The Upside Down style with both of the Stouts. Do it!
    Julio V.

Great beer and service! The brewers here are friendly and welcoming. They allow you to try any beer before you buy. I really enjoyed the Tall Dank and Handsome beer. We also tried the Upside Down drink as well with the stouts. Delicious! Definitely recommend this.

The staff was incredibly welcoming (Especially Matt) , knowledgeable, and more than happy to offer recommendations based on what we usually like. On top of that, the food is way beyond your standard greasy pub grub--everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the drinks. My family and I have come to this brewery many times to celebrate birthdays and special occasions…read more Unfortunately, over the past couple visits, I've noticed the customer service has steadily declined. It feels like the staff is more concerned with getting out exactly at closing time than making guests feel welcomed and valued. Our last visit on 06/25/2026 was, by far, the worst experience we've ever had here. We were celebrating my stepdaughter's birthday with a large group. As closing time approached, one of our family members still had a nearly full beer. Without any warning or politely letting us know it was time to finish up, a tall white male employee (who refused to provide his name when asked) simply walked up and took the beer off the table. What made it even more frustrating was that there were other tables around us with guests who also had drinks, yet our party was the only one singled out. To make matters worse, we had brought a birthday cake to celebrate. We politely asked another short female employee for a few plastic plates and utensils so we could cut the cake before leaving. We were told no because they were closing. This has never been an issue during our previous birthday celebrations here. These were disposable plastic plates and utensils that would have gone straight into the trash, so refusing such a simple request came across as pure unwillingness to provide basic customer service. I spent 10 years working in the food and hospitality industry before starting my current career, so I understand exactly what closing a restaurant or brewery entails. I know employees want to leave on time, but I also know that providing good customer service until the last guest leaves is part of the job. If customers need to wrap things up, there is a respectful way to communicate that. You don't take someone's drink without warning, and you don't refuse a simple request that would have taken less than a minute. Everyone in our party left upset and disappointed. It was honestly embarrassing to watch employees treat loyal customers this way. This brewery used to be our go-to place for birthdays, but after this experience, we will not be returning. I rarely write negative reviews because I understand everyone has bad days. However, this experience was unacceptable. I sincerely hope management addresses the lack of hospitality and provides better customer service training, because the employees working that evening did not represent the level of service that keeps loyal customers coming back. Both the female worker with tattoos and piercings and the tall male were extremely rude when confronted. If you choose to visit, just be aware that if you're there close to closing time, your experience may depend more on how quickly the staff wants to leave than on making you feel like a valued guest.
