Slow service. Food definitely not the best! It's too crowded. Takes forever to get your food

On my first visit to any Mexican restaurant, I try their green enchiladas. I feel like if a restaurant can't get green enchiladas right, I probably won't be back. Covina Mexicana nailed it! Their green enchiladas are delicious! The menu is reasonably priced, and the service was quick and helpful. Our boys loved the kid's quesadillas and the bright cozy ambience. Well done! We'll be back.

I got to try their delicious green salsa chilaquiles. I'm craving them now! Tacos were also delicious, steak was seasoned perfectly and could not believe when I realized their tortillas were homemade!!!! Yes!!! We will be back for sure!! Just make sure to bring cash or have the Cashapp installed on your phone. They don't tell you this when you enter, although there is a sign that is easily missed from being distracted of your surroundings. The place looks shady (on the outside) & only 2 windows can be seen BUT I promise you won't regret it!!!

I had the $11 chicken fajita tostada plate and it was bland and just 'meh'. Fajita meat was more like a boiled and seasoned shredded chicken. I broke up the tostadas and mixed it all up like a salad and tried to eat it that way. No water was served to us, only bottled water available for purchase and as we had cold water bottles our entire trip and also waiting in the car, i refused to purchase another three bottles. We don't drink sodas so it made for an extremely dry meal. I know this is a taqueria, but I would have loved to munch on chips and salsa while waiting for our food to come out. Thankfully, it was served quickly. My husband ordered a couple of tacos. A cactus and bean taco with an obscene amount of garlic in which we've been tasting all the way home, and i only had one tiny bite. The other taco, which was supposed to be beef fajita meat was more like chopped brisket with absolutely nothing on the taco with it. Our daughter chose wisely not to order anything to eat. Or drink. She just sat and grinned at our expressions when we took a bite or looked at each other after taking a bite. Two extremely spicy bottle sauces were served with the meal. I guess the sauces were to cover the blandness of the food, but then all you tasted was hot pepper sauce with a severe heat and kick to numb your tastebuds. We like to eat local when we travel through places, but this was a definite disappointment.
