It was ok. It's your typical Tex-mex food. Food was served fast, which is good if you're hungry. However, the only complaint is not even about the restaurant. It was about the other customers. Underwhelming. We were just driving by and decided to stop after looking for something to eat. Menu was more limited than I would have thought. We had queso, quesadillas and tacos. The food wasn't bad, but just ok. The flavor was just lacking...needed more seasoning. I feel like I could have made something better at home. Our server was great. She was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very clean. They did not have much decor. Would I go back if in the area again, probably not. Also, they do not serve alcohol, so if you are wanting a margarita with your meal, this is probably not your best choice. read more

Me, and some family members were fishing a bass tournament at Lake Fork, we stopped here because it was close to our cabin. We came in and were greeted with friendly smiles and a warming atmosphere. The service was absolutely amazing , our drinks were always full and I believe the salsa was the best I've had in a while. The food was limited I will say, but it makes up for it in the taste of the food. I would highly recommend stopping here if you see it. they earned my five stars. read more

Stopped here because of the reviews and the parking lot was packed. The five star folks must have been at another place This was the worst Tex-Mex I've ever had. Chips cooked in bad oil, watery salsa, no bar, queso tasted made from a powder mix. It's supermarket bright inside and the ceiling has leak spots all over it. We had enchiladas, flautas, tamales, tacos and the blackened snapper. Mediocre at best on all the traditional choices. Nary a blackened spice on the fish that tasted boiled. Best TexMex food anywhere near Emory. Can't say a bad thing about any of it. I even love their refried beans and rice which I normally just taste at others restaurants and consider filler. If I am eating here, I take home all the leftover beans and rice from everyone's plates. The steak chimichanga and fiesta fajitas are by far my most repeat orders. Salsa and chips are perfect traditional Tex mex. Service is always fast and friendly. read more

Love the fast friendly efficient service, yummy Tex-Mex standard dishes, and some unique daily specials are refreshing options. The salsa is a fresh homemade style and refillable! The Florescent lighting, wood paneling, and sport tvs are sad for improper ambiance but I guess it's their thrifty standard. A family place though with padded booths or table/ chair setting, Currently, NO alcohol served at this family oriented restaurant but appears there is at the private club next door with membership. read more

Was on a trip to visit some family and started getting hungry on the road so we pulled in here not expecting much, just looking for a bite to eat. The place doesn't look like much, old looking building, the usual small town Mexican spot, but MAN. The food was so delicious. Everything tasted so fresh from the salsa, the guacamole, the entrees, everything tasted very very good. Probably some of the better Tex mex style food I've had and I've had a LOT. Maybe I just got lucky, but if I'm ever down that way again I will be stopping by again just to make sure. read more

Ok starters I'm not sure who else is reviewing this place but they aren't eating at this restaurant The ceiling is gross, the floor is gross I'm pretty sure it was an old skating rink. Asked for another set of silverware because mine were nasty and she brought 2 more luckily one was clean while the other was not. Out of town on business and happen upon this place. Saw the reviews and decided to try it. Glad I did. I little busy being a Friday night, so plan on a possible short wait if you get here at prime time. Opted for the spicy guacamole to start. And I got what I asked for, spicy! For an entrée I went with the shrimp chili relleno . Not bad at all. The restaurant has a big room with lots of tables. Not to fancy or over done. The service was good and friendly. The staff will speak in Spanish about you - even right in front of you when they think you do not understand Spanish. They degraded my party right in front of us not knowing that we had a bi lingual person with us. Pretty rude and disgusting. read more

Salsa was great today, not too hot. Lunch Fajhitas were perfect. The waitress checked often but did not offer to refill drinks or chips.

This restaurant passed the Mexican food tests. First, the plates were hot enough to keep the food warm the entire meal. Second, the rice and beans were homemade. Third, the fajita meat was tender and not overdone or over seasoned. Fourth, the guacamole was real with chunks of avocado. The only negative was the salsa was unimpressive.
