My exhaust pipe cracked off of my resonator yesterday meanwhile I was commuting to San Jose ! I live in Modesto and work in San Jose and when I was driving on highway 84 I heard a loud noice going up on a hill ! These guys at abuelos are cool and took care of my car fast . Weld the piece back together and I was in and out in 10 minutes. If u ever need a welder this is the spot to go! Charge me 50$ for the labor and I'm happy . We called this place to see if they could take off an X pipe that we had on our car and replace it with a stock one. So they said come in bring the car in at 2 o'clock and we were there at 2 o'clock drop the car off the people there said OK come back in two hours. So it's about 4 o'clock and we're there and the car hasn't even been moved from the spot. The guy was like oh we haven't even started and the shop closes at five. They were already still working on another car. Then we came back again at 5 o'clock and they were barely putting the car into the shop to change the x pipe. And then the guy says oh come back in another 40 minutes it's like they have no value or care for our time like we understand you get busy and stuff but then it's up to you to give us a call and say you know we're running late can you give us some more time so I'm not wasting my gas going back-and-forth. Also the one thing that really irritated me was that I'm pulling up in my other car and I see them revving up my car and making a video of it. I mean I get it people do it but really that's just super disrespectful to me. I just feel like I trusted these people to handle my car and all this but here is what I'm getting just someone not giving a single damn about my time and then revving my car making videos of it when you really should just be doing the work that we asked you to do. read more

Yesterday, I arrived at Abuelo's Mufflers straight from work. I was expecting there to be a mistake, a typo in the vehicle year perhaps. Upon arriving, I am greeted by a friendly staff, bilingual mind you, in a decent looking shop. I had been having a hard time finding CA-legal Cat-Conveters. The Dealer price for a Chevy Camaro 2010 was insane, and other shops had no way of getting ahold of the part even AfterMarket. With only a month until I was required to Smog test my vehicle, I really felt out of options. So if you've followed my reviews, I tend to compile a list of shops and get down to the real deal takers and the end result here was Abuelo's mufflers. Do not come here if you want your catalytic converters stolen. They took mine off because they said it was cracked when they could have just welded it back on. They also took out my pipes and replaced it with some random pipes they had on the ground. I will not come here again. read more

Abuelo's Mufflers were recommended to me by a friend of mine I'm with in a car club that we have. I've been waiting and waiting to get my resonator deleted and this place was recommended to me. I called and they quoted me for 90 bucks and I said cool. I went took them 45 minutes to do it and I was out. my car sounds extremely loud. I drive a dodge challenger sxt so I didn't expect it to have so much difference. The only thing I have to come back for is my left tip is not centered but I know I can always just come back and they will readjust it for me. Thanks guys. read more

They are a below average shop for muffler works. Very basic muffler delete would be the max that you can trust to do with these guys. They are not knowledgeable enough and will sell you whatever you want without any idea if it's compatible with the car. I changed my flex pipe on my Audi from them and they put a wrong one and my cats from the exhaust manifold cracked off. The flex pipe they put was not rated for a supercharged engine and they still put it. Now I have to get a new catalytic converter. If you have a good car especially Germans, they are not experienced enough to work on them. read more
