Just went in with my 2005 Corvette to get a rattle fixed. The shop was busy but Bob was eager to help. Got my car on the lift and found the rattle right away. They fabricated a piece that would fix the problem. He had it done in under 15 minutes. His nephew welded it and out the door I went. Bob is the kindest, most generous and professional mechanic I have ever met. My car didn't pass its smog check due to a small crack in the manifold. I called 6 different muffler places - some refused to give a quote sight unseen, another quoted me $280, others said they wouldn't work on it unless I removed the manifold myself. Then I got on the phone with Bob. He was kind, friendly and willing to help, saying it didn't sound like a lot of work and that he would likely do it free of charge, and if it was more involved, he wouldn't charge more than $50. When I arrived, he and his nephew Daniel immediately had a look and welded the crack in a few minutes, refusing to accept any payment from me. If that weren't enough, it got more interesting. I mentioned having taken an art oriented welding class and he started sharing beautiful figurines he had created out of railroad pieces, horseshoes, and the like. Not only is Bob a mechanic, he's also an amazing artist! He shared that the business had belonged to his father and that he has been there for 48 years, and the family run feel is obviously still very much at the heart of what he does. He showed me a shelf of figurines above the office window and took down a welded tiny motorcycle. It was so beautifully made I immediately wanted to buy one for my boyfriend, who I knew would love it. It turns out that it was made by his late cousin. I said I would want to buy one of them and he then proceeded to gift it to me, saying he felt really good about doing that. What started out as a slightly annoying chore of fixing a crack in my car turned into a deeply meaningful and inspiring exchange. Bob not only fixed my car, but reminded me of how much power each of us has to be kind and generous. As an artist myself, an added angle was appreciating and honoring the legacy of an artist who has passed away. Simply amazing. It really made my day. Don't hesitate to work with Bob. Bob and crew are outstanding! I actually was recommended Kwik-Way by my guys over at Griffin's (another place I would highly recommend). Those guys don't do exhaust work, so they told me to go see Bob at Kwik-Way. Boy were they right. Bob took the time to discuss what I was trying to accomplish with a custom exhaust I wanted to have fabricated. We walked through options, pipe diameter, welds vs clamps, stainless vs aluminized...the whole thing. And once the fabrication was done, he broke a few welds and re-did them because the dual tips weren't exactly the same length (like 5mm difference). I couldn't see it, but it wasn't perfect, so he re-did it...amazing. Bob quotes the job (not the time), has an eye for detail, and he's far more concerned with customer satisfaction than billable hours. In short, Bob (and his team) are good people, running a great shop. They actually charge less than many other shops...while providing a level of service I rarely come across. I will pay for your mods if Bob does a less-than-satisfactory job with your next exhaust build. Six Stars. read more

I don't usually leave reviews on Yelp unless I really recommend the place. If you need any exhaust work done, Bob is your guy! Called in this morning and spoke with Bob to get pricing on doing a catback exhaust swap from factory to a Revel Touring Medallion exhaust. He was super friendly and gave the best rate out of all the other shops I contacted throughout the day. I called him in the afternoon to see if I could set up a time/day to come in (thinking I would need to wait a few days) but he was able to accommodate what worked for my schedule and I was able to bring it in on the same afternoon! After arriving, it was no less than a few minutes before my car was up on the lift and getting worked on. Less than 30 minutes after the car went up on the lift, he was already done with the swap and my car was ready to come off the lift. Very bad customer service. I came in very early to see if I can get my car done. I was seen but not acknowledged by anyone there. I then went to the window and spoke to someone and still wasn't acknowledged. I finally got someone to help and was told they were busy but only seen on car on the lift with 2 lifts open, I waited around 30min to get my vehicle on the car and they lifted my vehicle did what they had to and went my way. This honestly may not be big but for me customer service is key with me wanting to return in the future. I have a Porsche with an aftermarket exhaust. Either due to manufacturing defects or incorrect installation it was hitting my axle. I thought I was going to have to replace it but a friend suggested I take it to a muffler shop. I called Kwik Way and spoke with Bob. He couldn't have been more accommodating. Told me to bring it in and he look at it. I showed up an hour later and Bob had me drive it in immediately. He saw the issue and we discussed solutions. I was referred here from SmogMan Test and Auto Repair Man(another solid business for smog needs) to repair a small crack in the Down pipe and the gasket connecting to the exhaust mani. These guys, and the owner Bob, were very approachable and wanted to help me out. They knew my car was older so finding the gasket was a bit harder and would take time so they offered to take mine off, match it with one they had or to fabricate it so I didn't have to wait days and could get my smog. Kwik-Way's (KW) customer service drove me to write my first Yelp review. The stellar 5-star rating for this business lives up to the hype. From my experience, here's why: 1) KW is considerate: It was a busy day when I brought my car in to be serviced. Bob asked me if I had time and wouldn't mind coming back after an hour. He did not underestimate the wait time and was ready when I came back. Once my car was done, Bob continued to apologize for the wait (which wasn't that long IMO) and thanked me for my patience. 2) KW is honest: Bob requested that I should be there when they took a look under my car. He wanted to explain the issue and ensure I understood what/why something needed to be fixed. 3) KW is generous: I brought my car in because my exhaust was suddenly 10 times louder than usual. Turns outs someone cut through the steel but was unsuccessful in stealing the catalytic converter. Bob sealed the cut for free and was unwilling to accept payment for it since it was a quick fix. This is a great place. Called another place, they didn't pick up, so I came here. Told him what I needed, said to come in and we'll make a quote on what you need exactly. Paid $60 to cut my old muffler and welded a new one. Used my old bracket that was cut and welded it on to the new one. Great idea, I laughed at the simple enginuity. Super quick, less than half an hour. Taken care of. Got to watch the whole thing in front of me. I'd come back when I need to replace another Subaru forester 2008 with their dumb whining muffler when it goes bad around 120-160k miles. Went with a magnaflow that was the same diameter 2.25''.
