Beware Be very afraid stopped into this place to get some rate information for family coming into town stood in the office for 10 minutes ringing the bell. Nobody showed up the office in a word was disgusting overflowing trash baskets supplies thrown all about bandages Q-tips dirt everywhere Fox News blaring on the TV Again no one home the sign on the door says their hours are something like 8 AM to 8 PM. Finally walked outside one of the cleaners/office manager? Very rudely asked me can I help you? I said yes I'm looking for rates. I've stood in your office for 10 minutes, he was very Kurt. I asked him for a sheet. He said we don't have one again. If the office is any indication of the rooms, I would never stay there. I'll bet the bugs enjoy it there though. read more

Because of inclemental weather, we needed to cancel our reservation. BEWARE! It did not matter if you notified them days in advance, there is a no refund policy. (They eventually gave us a partial refund, but it wasn't even half!). A few other things that was a bit different also was a 1 to 3 check-in, a 10 o'clock checkout, and no ice machine. WOW is all we can say, this is an updated review from our newest experience of staying at Beach House Motel and I love the fact that we can give them a full five star rating this time. We booked our stay using the booking.com app and received a great rate for a five night stay, May 28 - June 2, 2018. As detailed in the app we were charged for one night room and tax for our stay at the time of booking and there were no issues. We simply paid the balance of our reservation total at the time we checked into the room. CHECK IN EXPERIENCE: We received a phone call a few hours before our check in time and were told our room was ready for us and we could check in any time we desired. We were just down the street having a sandwich so we went and checked in for our stay. Robert was FANTASTIC, he welcomed us and gave us a wealth of information about the area, dining recommendations and told us he lived next door so if we needed anything to call the "night number" posted on the door. We paid the remaining total on our reservation and were given a printed copy of our receipt that also had the WiFi password and I also received an email copy along with our room key. GUEST ROOM: Opening the door to our guest room was a delight, the room was clean and smelled fresh. We found everything we needed inside from a cook-top, pots and pans to dishes, cups and glasses. There is also a small dorm type refrigerator and a microwave. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. The bedding was new since our last stay and very comfortable. The sheets were clean and smelled very fresh. As we stated in our previous review the location could not be any better. You are located in the heart of Treasure Island and steps away from the beach. We had two outdoor chairs on our porch area along with our table for sitting out and we also kept our flip flops and beach chairs outside with no issues of worrying about anything being taken. You can easily walk to John's Pass or any of the restaurants or attractions in Treasure Island and cab or Uber service was always close by. They do not include daily housekeeping service in your stay but the lady who is there each day cleaning was super friendly and always made sure to ask if we needed clean towels or trash bags. Robert was on the property most the time and super friendly and helpful. We would now highly recommend this place to any of our family or friends who are visiting the area. The price and the service are great. It is a small mom and pop location so you are not going to get the resort level of service with a 24 hour front desk or full concierge service with a bellman and valet. But for a beach vacation the Beach House Motel offers everything you can ask for. read more

We have stayed here in the past and loved it. It is a great price, very cozy room. It has a kitchenette, separate bedroom from small living room area (gets very hot when bedroom door shut) I would give it more stars if the noise would have been handled and the only reason it is getting 2 is because the rooms are nice and it's a great location. The last 2 nights have been horrible. The people above us sound like they are playing musical chairs for hours at a time. I spoke with the gentleman at desk, who assured we would get some money back and he talked to the people directly above us and fell for the BS of "it's not me, it's the people next door" I shook it off and said Ok. He said those people checked out this morning so we should be good but yet the noise is still continuing tonight. Hhmmm... And it's a constant furniture scraping across the floor sound. 5am comes quick when you can't sleep due to rudeness. read more

Nothing "charming" about this. On arrival we noticed previous occupants doggie bag in refrigerator. This place hasn't been updated in years. Holes in the screens. It is a short week to the ocean. Price is decent compared to others in area but for us it just wasn't worth it. read more

Nothing fancy, but for the price it was great for what we needed. We were in town with some friends for St Pete Pride. This hotel was only 15 minutes to the parade. Plus you could walk to the beach! The location is great! No frills, but was fine for what we needed. Could have used more towels to accommodate the 4 of us in one room. And the one I used had black hair stuck to it. But overall, the room was clean and had extra small appliances and dishes if you were going to stay several nights. In the morning, we moved our car down a bit to the regular beach parking spots so we didn't have to carry our beach supplies quite so far. Great location! Just wish there was an outside shower to rinse off in before heading in. I hate tracking sand all over the place. read more

I am a local resident, who recently had to vacate my home for a couple of days, due to tenting for termites (Not a fun situation!). But, the staff at Beach House Motel were so friendly and accommodating, and they put my worries to rest right from the start of my stay. Although Beach House Motel does not come with 5 start hotel amenities, it still has a lot of surprising amenities to offer - and it is right on the beach and in the heart of all the activities in Treasure Island. The room - which was actually a cute, little suite - was exceptionally clean and neat. The accommodations were exceptionally comfortable, and my stay away from home was a pleasure, to say the least. And, I received some much needed rest; the place was actually pretty quiet! If you are looking for an affordable, clean, comfortable place to stay while you are in Treasure Island, I recommend checking out the Beach House Motel. My sister and I were looking for a last minute, place to stay on the beach! Wanted to enjoy a "staycation" and Robert was awesome! He allowed us an early check-in and even upgraded our room! This motel offered great beach access and all the amenities of a little beachside cottage!! We will definitely be going back again to stay the beach house hotel! At first glance this place is super cute. And I'm not one to normally leave reviews, however I must share my experience. I ended up seeing 3 baby roaches in our room. And where there's babies, there's a momma. Besides that, I ended up getting very ill while staying here. I somehow ended up getting conjunctivitis (pink eye) in both of my eyes, which makes me wonder how thoroughly they actually clean the rooms and bedding. My throat stared feeling scratchy and I ended up being very sick with a sore throat and major coughing. Safe to say, I WILL NOT say here again. read more

I decided at the last minute to come down to the beach during Spring Break week, and I was lucky to have found a room for 2 nights at the Beach House. The unit I was in was on the 2nd floor, and it was a nice efficiency. I had a coffee maker, 2 burner stove, microwave. There was a nice sitting area, dining table and a tv in the living room and also one in the bedroom. The room was clean, the staff friendly, and the hotel is right on the beach. Came in from airport after flight being cancelled earlier, tired, went on line to book a room just to sleep. Found this place. Great price, reviews said it was clean..well, we wouldn't know. Website allowed us to book. We show up at 830p, office closed @ 7. Nobody answering either "emergency" line. We obviously went elsewhere. This is an older place, so some parts of the walls that you'd expect to have outlets had none, and there were also some older outlets that had just the two prongs instead of three. The other downsides-no a/c in the front room, so it's get super hot in there and is pretty much unusable, and no telephone, which is most unusual for a motel. But other than that, it had everything we needed (kitchen sink, fridge, microwave), the water pressure in the shower was great, and a comfy bed. It's one of the best deals in Treasure Island for a good price close to the beach. We would stay here again the next time we're in the area. read more

We just stayed here and loved it!! It definitely has a vintage feel to it but it's super clean and we were totally comfortable. Robert was absolutely awesome and extremely helpful with any questions we had and having the beach right there was just beautiful! Giving a good reccommendation even thou I did not stay here. I had booked thru booking.com for memorial weekend...however it was not clear on booking.com that it was a non refundable reservation. Had I seen that I wouldnot have booked. I had to cancel right away since I was not absolutely sure to be able to make the trip due to personal circumstances. Robert, at Beach House worked it out with me so I could cancel. I appreciated his helpfulness. I will consider a future reservation here. read more

As others have mentioned the customer service at this place is really top-notch and outstanding. I was flying in from Vegas to check on a family property after Hurricane Irma. Since I didn't know what condition the property would be in, I figured I better cover my bases and book a hotel in case the property didn't have a roof or windows or power. I booked and prepaid three nights at the Beach House. Immediately I received a call and text from the owner of the Beach House, Robert. He wanted to inform me that while power had been restored to his hotel and he had AC and hot water, cable TV and internet had not yet been restored. He wanted to be upfront and honest and let me know ahead of time, in case I wanted to cancel. I did not cancel. A roof and AC was good enough for me. LOL. When I arrived in Florida, I quickly discovered that my property was indeed live-able and had not suffered much damage. When I went to check into the hotel, I explained the situation to Robert. While it was too late to refund me the first night, he gladly and freely offered to refund me the last two nights of my trip. He did so without hesitation. It was awesome. He was also quite friendly and updated me on what was open and not open on the island after the hurricane. The hotel itself was quite cozy and clean and the AC worked nice. Also by the time I checked-in, cable and internet was restored. Huzzah! There was a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, coffee maker, sink and ample dishes and utensils. Don't go here expecting a 5 -star resort, with the latest Ikea knock-off bathroom fixtures, Egyptian cotton sheets, mini-bar in the fridge and concierge. That's dumb and unrealistic. This is a cozy, unpretentious, family-run place where you drop your stuff off and walk out the door to the beach (or hurricane ravaged house in my case). It is an old school Florida motel footsteps from the beach with extremely welcoming and accommodating staff. How old school? I got a key to my room. A key. Not a card. A key. Frankly, I'll take friendly people over updated furniture any day of the week. read more
