I was in town and choose this location because it was very close to the event I would be attending. The location was great with many restaurants, coffee shops, Publix and CVS within walking distance. I parked in the hotel's parking garage for $22 a night and didn't have to move my car until it was time for me to depart. I stayed in the king room and it was huge and has a separate "living area" with a sofa. The price was reasonable also making it a good choice and the staff was extremely polite and friendly. There's hot breakfast in the morning with decent options. The only issue is that the faucet was broken and shot water about two feet away when I turned it on. ‍

We had a great time at the St. Petersburg downtown location. Clean hotel and room. Great breakfast selection. Nice parking deck ($22 daily charge). Overall a great experience and would stay again!

We really like this hotel & stay often with our points from chase card. It's an excellent location with many bars & restaurants close by. The parking is very convenient. You pull into their garage find a spot, which are ample for our truck. Take the elevator to lobby & check in. Staff is always friendly & they have a decent bar. Rooms are spacious & always clean. We have probably stayed here a dozen times over past few years. Never had a problem.

I was here for the evening and the Hyatt did NOT disappoint! The location is perfect! I was able to walk everywhere! It was very clean and the room was superb! Jade the bartender was great and took good care of my guest and I! I will definitely be back! At 11:00pm, you are not able to get into the hotel without your room key which I can appreciate. I felt super safe and despite all of the construction nearby, we were not disturbed.

The Hyatt Place is only minutes away from the marina, shops, and a museum. Also right where USF is located so great location to be in!

This hotel has good location, gym, pool, friendly staff, large rooms, and free breakfast (which I didn't try). The 2 things I didn't like were uncomfortable pillows and barking dogs in the middle of the night as this is a pet friendly hotel.

Double beds & lots of space in room (#1215).

Good hotel. Large clean lobby with many different seating areas, daily breakfast buffet, daily happy hour at the bar, 24/7 snack counter, outdoor pool on the 7th floor, computer and printer available for guest use, and bonus points for in-room coffee makers with actual ceramic mugs not just paper cups. Room was big with 2 double beds, dresser and wardrobe, plenty of counter space, at least 5 lamps for different lighting options, and corner sectional sofa with ottoman for lounging. Bed was comfy. However, the walls are not very sound proof and when you have bridesmaids from a wedding party celebrating until the wee hours of the morning in the room next to you, be sure you won't get much sleep. Overall, staff was kind and friendly. Sometimes a bit slow or not present at the front desk. Housekeeping was unreliable, once leaving behind a cleaning rag, another day not coming until almost 4pm, another day clogging my sink but fixing it the next day. On the whole, a good stay with some room for improvement.

Overall: First time visitors with our furry kid Sept 5-7, '20. Upon our next visit, we will stay again due to he cleanliness, comfortable and quiet rooms and helpful front desk staff. Overall rating based on scoring below is a strong 4.25. Room: 4.5 stars- We had a nice quite room on the 9 floor overlooking pool and could see the bay between buildings. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Had to put a towel at front door to reduce light and darkening shades help but not fully. Wife and I choose two queens for the reason the photo clearly shows why:). Food: 3 stars- Standard breakfast hotel food with nothing really stands out. Was clean though. Service: 5 stars- Front desk staff at checkin was friendly and professional. Upon our need for recommendations, both gentlemen quickly confirmed our own Yelp search for unique Mexican and provided us the directions to walk their. There was no room cleaning service due to COVID reductions but we also didn't need anything so no rating. Checkout was friendly and to the point due to line. All staff wore masks and appeared everything was being wiped down. Environment and dog friendly area: 4.5 stars- Hotel lobby, food service area, elevators and pool areas all kept clean. Hotel is near some great food establishments. The area had plenty of dog friendly restaurants and a great park is about 2 blocks at Yacht Club that provides a good relief area. Nothing at hotel for dog relief (-.5 stars for a dog friendly hotel)

As a visitor, we had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Place St. Petersburg Downtown. We had a suite on the 7th floor and it was amazing. The staff was lovely their 24 hour coffee service is a total bonus. I have a jaw surgeon (18 month process) in St Pete so we are here a lot. From this location, you are a block away from tons of restaurants, marinas, rooftop bars, bars, movies, museums, everything. The Hyatt Downtown location is in the heart of everything and we'll always stay here in the future.

    Happy hour menu

This is a very limited review seeing as how I only went for their happy hour and didn't get anything to eat. So, don't take this review as an indication of what the hotel service is like-I have no idea. But, if you're looking for a place to spend a happy hour, this isn't bad. I'd probably give it 3.5 stars if I could, but I can't and 3 stars feels too low. So, this is a brand new hotel in downtown Saint Pete. Opened a couple of weeks ago, I think. The bar is on the bottom floor-it is not very big. Maybe 10-15 bar stools plus a few tables and couches. But there are floor to ceiling windows so there's plenty of light, and an outside patio with a couple of tables. They have a few appetizers on their HH menu, but again, I didn't eat anything. They also have a couple of wines, and 3 or 4 craft cocktails. The old fashioned is made with old Saint Pete whiskey, and I love that they keep it local. It was made properly, i.e. with a single large ice cube, and tasted great. I also got their piratey rum drink, also made with a single ice cube, but this one was a skull! Very cool and I need that ice tray. It is an older crowd, though there were a couple of young professionals. All in all, I enjoyed myself. Not the best HH in the city, but a good stop of you just want a drink after work to start your weekend.

Ok Let me start with the review is based on visit and a week or two after opening, so I will go back and update. First off they were very busy and a little short at first because the bartender was very busy. There was a bit of misinformation in regards to Happy Hour . The website it ended at 730 and it also said it ended at 8. I got there's little before 730, the bartender said HH was over but I reminded him I was there before 730, he said he would honor it. About 10 minutes later, he was caught up and took my drink.order As he was making my order I asked one of the other bartenders for the HH food menu since I didn't get to see it yet. She told me no it was too late and I explained to her that I've been here since before 730 but she just looked at me and wouldn't give me the menu The other bartender had to explain to her I had been waiting awhile, begrudgingly she finally gave it to me. Fast forward we received out charcuterie plate and flatbreads. The cheese and meat a plate was good but didn't have some of the items they advertised and replaced them with something else. The flatbread was pretty good but nothing outstanding. The service got better and the bartender was friendly once he caught up .As for our bill , it was messed up but they fixed it. Hoping in time they iron things and things improve, such a great location.

During our recent visit, the manager was unnecessarily confrontational and repeatedly made us feel unwelcome. Multiple guests also overheard her making disparaging comments about us to other employees. Another staff member ultimately found a simple solution by relocating us to the pool bar, where the staff was fantastic. What is equally disappointing is the lack of accountability afterward. I sent a detailed complaint directly to the Food & Beverage Director and, after receiving no response, followed up several days later. Both messages have gone unanswered. Poor customer service can happen. Refusing to even acknowledge or respond to a legitimate customer complaint is a management choice. Very disappointing from an establishment we previously enjoyed and supported.

Unfortunately, the noise level significantly impacted our stay. We were in Room 28, and directly behind the room is a hallway used by staff from the upstairs bar. Throughout the first night, we heard a heavy door repeatedly slamming and staff using rolling carts to transport trash. The noise continued until about 3:00 a.m., making it very difficult to sleep. The next morning, I expressed my concerns to the front desk. He was polite, apologized, and said he would pass the information along. However, the noise resumed again the following night. Around 11:30 p.m., I stepped into the hallway and observed someone pulling trash on one of the carts; they did not appear interested in engaging when I tried to address it. Closer to midnight, after another loud door slam, I spoke with a different staff member who was very receptive and respectful. After that conversation, the noise level did decrease. I understand that hotel operations continue behind the scenes, but for a property positioned as an upscale boutique experience, I would expect better late-night noise control -- especially in rooms directly adjacent to service areas. The hotel has a lot of potential, and the cleanliness was excellent. However, due to the repeated overnight noise disruption, I would be hesitant to stay in that location of the property again.

The service in this hotel is very good overall. The pools and the beach are superb. We chose this resort as a special anniversary vacation, and this is part of the lower review. Ambiguous communication led us to believe we would receive a free night, however we later realized and were told that the discount was already built in to our price, although no sign of discount was found anywhere on our invoice. I'm self employed and I've managed business for 35 years, and I've not seen discounts that don't show on an invoice. Se beware of promotional discount offers as it may not be what you expect, and you'll be left with no way to disprove the phantom discount because it's not on your invoice, apparently is just spoken. Overall service was very good. We had a minor blip in the maritana, which was the wrong dessert brought to us, and presented as "happy anniversary" with a chocolate that said that, but was strangely charged to us. The waitress handled it like a pro. I would advise the chef to either ignore birthdays and anniversaries and that sort of thing, or offer a small free dessert. But definitely don't bring out a "happy anniversary" dessert then charge for it. Also had overcooked hard poached eggs at the society table - no big deal just no runny yolk. If not for the price, who cares? But with such a great menu and fantastic chef, they should get eggs right. No discount offered. But I ate it so... All of our food was great, and really well developed and complete dishes as if it were Michelin rated. Cheers to the chef. Just two very minor fails. Overall it was a nice stay but we won't go back mainly because ultimately they didn't step up over a $600ish discrepancy over a 5 night stay. Look at my reviews. It's very rare I don't write 5 stars. Since the facial and massages are usually $225.each, this is a pretty good deal. The one major downside to the spa is the valet parking. You get two hours validated for $12, but then it is $12 an hour after that. If you get to the spa early to make sure you're not rushed, plus spending time after eating, this ends up being a not inexpensive valet parking bill. I'm really surprised there isn't a flat rate or that they don't validate more of your parking. Especially given how expensive the treatments are. I have to say I like the hard rock spa a lot more. The main reason is because the facilities here are small and seem a little rundown. The actual spa services are separate from where their steam room and salt room is. So you have to walk in your robe through the hallway to get from one to the other. Also, the salt room and steam room weren't turned on when we got there so we had to wait for both rooms to heat up. It is a bit confusing on how to turn them on, so we were lucky that one of the employees was nearby for us to ask. All the services are fantastic though. So if you're coming just for the service and not for a Spa experience, this place is pretty good. The massage was one of the best I've had in a long time. My masseuse really got into my back, which was fantastic. I thought the facial was well done as well. So if your plan is to come solo, this place isn't bad, but if you're coming with friends and want to experience more than just your services, I wouldn't recommend this place. I was also surprised that you don't get access to the pool with your Spa service, which is pretty standard for other places.
