Of all the Worcester hotels I visited seeing my family, by far the best. Simple but everything is clean updated and they couldn't do enough. Breakfast was there but if you want over the top eat out. Gym is on fire, amenities amazing and cost you can't beat. Nice job staff . read more

We stayed here for one night and it was a 10/10 experience. The lady at the front desk when we arrived was absolutely fantastic she was super helpful and super friendly she got us all checked in and we were off. We had two rooms and they both smelled amazing when entering they were super clean and super nice. The breakfast buffet in the morning was amazing and great assortment of protein and carbs. The fitness center had a great assortment of dumbbells barbells and cardio machines we were able to do our daily lift safely with the equipment there. I had a wonderful stay and can't wait to stay here again! read more

This is a PSA. Be very careful when you are booking on line if there is any chance your plans could change. I cancelled my non refundable room 4 days before because our travel plans changed. I called to see if there was an exception they could make and offer a refund. It took 3 phone calls to finally reach a person in management and the answer was that it is Marriott's policy no exceptions, they also did not offer any other solutions just a no there is nothing we can do. I lost $200 because of my mistake and Marriott just lost a customer. Disapointing. read more

The hotel was nice in general. Updated room and bathroom. Noise transfer in this hotel is horrible - you can hear everything. The neighbor above me woke me up multiple times and my neighbor's TV was so loud and was in until after 1130 PM...it was so loud to the point I could hear it over my sound machine... I 100% did not get a peaceful nights rest any of my nights here. Called the front desk twice to complain about my neighbor and there was nothing they could do since the hotel was booked out for an event... My TV also did not work. Staff is very friendly and apologetic though. read more

* This was not the BEST hotel I've stayed in, but I'm giving it 5 stars because the quality of my stay exceeded my expectations for a 3 - 3.5 star hotel * I was in town for a wedding and had a great weekend stay at this hotel. The location is great, right by the Worcester Commons, and near many shops and restaurants. I also appreciated the garage parking! CHECKING IN: The process was seamless and quick. The lobby is chic, clean, and spacious. It's beautifully decorated, minimalist but not empty, and boasts many sitting areas and a fireplace. As we checked in at night, there was even a little table with dried lavender to make your own sachets for the evening. Such a thoughtful touch! Theres a hydration station on the floors near the elevators as well. ROOM: The room was great. No complaints! The decor is neutral, with hard wood floors. I LOVED IT. I'm not a fan of stuffy hotels. This one was clean, with all the necessities for a very comfortable stay. It looks to be closer to a 4 star hotel in appearance (My husband and I frequent many hotels - The Ritz, Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, as well as other Marriotts, so I like to think I'm not clueless when it comes to expectations). There's a floor length mirror behind the door, and a closet area (not a full coset or anything though) with shelves and two drawers. Plenty of space as we don't carry much with us anyway. Although, if you tend to pack a lot, the storage space might seem a bit cramped. The wall is lined with benches so you can easily pack and unpack. There's a light for under the bench as well. The beds were not the most comfortable beds, but not terrible either. You do make a sort of "dent" in the bed though, so it's not the most comfortable for the other person. That said, the sheets were clean, and there were outlets close to the bed, as well as adequate bedside tables to put your things. There were blackout curtains as well, to ensure a good night's sleep. THE BATHROOM was my favorite part! There are sliding doors to the bathroom. It boasts a spacious shower with a rainfall showered as well as a regular one with many settings. There's a shelf in the shower to put your things too. The sink is large, and with ample counter space. DINING: The hotel offers breakfast downstairs starting at 6am on weekdays and 7 am on weekends, at around $15 per person. It's an all you can eat buffet. You can also order egg dishes with the waitstaff. Depending on what you're used to, I can see how people may think it's limited, but I thought it was perfect. I especially appreciated the fact that the fruit was in separate bowls (I'm allergic to cantaloupe, and places usually do a fruit salad that's chock full of cantaloupe! I do realize that's very specific, so I digress). You can get to-go coffee cups too if you're in hurry! My only complaint is that the rooms could use a bit more light. I've never stayed in an AC hotel I didn't like. AC hotels are new, modern, and upscale. The AC in Worcester is no exception. The lobby has a cozy fireplace and a sleek bar around the corner from the front desk. The rooms are decked out in modern decor. My favorite part of the room is the rainfall shower-head. Plus, my husband is usually super picky about hotel mattresses but he loves the ones here. Parking is around $20, which you can pay with your room charges. The garage is self-park and is underground. This spot is amazing. We were immediately greeted by the employee at the front desk. The lobby was beautiful, an elongated fireplace with super cozy couches, classic and modern art and a really cute business area with tables to the side. We checked in and were given a sheet of food and wifi info so no need to guess which was a plus. We stayed on the second floor. When we opened the door to our room it was beautiful. We got a basic room but this was the nicest room we've ever stayed in. The king size bed was so comfy and the pillows were perfect and they had both soft and hard versions. The room came with a mini fridge, safe and coffee maker. The tv was a good size and perfectly centered to the bed. No view for us but since we were in town for a concert it'd be too dark to see it anyway. The bathroom boasts a energy efficient toilet and a long countertop with lots of space for toiletries. The shower had a waterfall head as well. I wish I thought to take photos. We have another concert in the fall at the DCU center so we will be rebooking soon! read more

This property & management has unfortunately ended my loyalty to all Marriott properties. Travel extensively for Corporate travel (+200 nights /year) giving myself Titanium and potential Ambassador status with Marriott. Luckily; I've sent an internal company wide email about Marriott and recommend no longer staying on their properties with recommendation to stay at Hyatt. Apparently; hotel lounge employees allow guest not staying on the property charge $150 meal & drinks to other guests rooms. The Manager told me since room # is on the receipt and it was signed, there is no proof stating this is indeed fraudulent. My Last name is Morrell, receipt has signature of "McMaster." Also, why would you print "McMaster" and not match it with signature. Entire situation is unfortunate, make it Worse I have receipt and camera footage of myself eating at adjacent restaurant at same time for total of $30!!! Thanks Marriott for not doing full investigation, and allowing strangers make extravagant room charges without proper ID check for authorized guests during my stay. read more

This is my 3rd AC that I've stayed in so far, and I'm not disappointed. Same AC standard that is maintained in others. Parking is $15 a day, but it's in a garage which I always like. It's also located conveniently to other places in downtown Worcester, we were able to walk to a whole bunch of places. We called around 11 on a Saturday to stay because we didn't want to drive to Boston late, and were able to find a room. We had a room with two queens and were comfortable. read more

Beautiful facility but the service and room cleaning is almost confrontational and clumsy respectfully. The best parts of our stay were the new construction, location, and proximity to 110 Grill. Watch for overcharges. We came without a car and a daily $15 parking fee was added to our room reportedly at check-in or possibly when we inquired about parking valudation for one hour and I offered to pay for the hour. Our first night, we were given a shower curtain for a blanket and a rolled up sock was left behind under the sofa edge. I'm still grossed out. When we removed the no service sign and left for a few hours, our room was unserviced even though we were expecting minimally towel and trash service. Nothing seems a big deal alone, but all the little things just did not stop... We had to ask for cups, stirrers, towels, emptied our own trash, but refused to handle the tightly rolled sock from the former guest(s.) If the attitudes were more hospitable or the overcharges were handled easily or at least pleasantly instead of accusatory-ly. We had no car at check-in and we stated as such when asked during the check-in process. I'm just exhausted having to ask repeatedly. The persisting issues seem to be with service... Today we were stocked with four bath towels... Great!. Zero washcloths, zero face towels, and three floormats. I seriously tried using the shower matt to dry my face twice before I realized they were all fliimatts. I lost two nights of quality sleep and woke up sick twice because an online booking request for feather-free rooms was ignored and half of our pillows were down and half were hypoallergenic. It took two trips to correct the issue. While receiving the replacement pillows, the gentleman handed me four pillows at the door without taking a hold of the door which slammed over my toes and scraped through the leather of my shoe and hurt my toes. I yelped out loud but he was being called by the front desk and hurried away and didn't even turn around to see if I needed help. Now I'm in bed with bruised toes but at least I can breathe. I'm really getting tired of asking. There's so much to love, but the problems are overshadowing what otherwise could have been a pleasant experience. I started this review with a four, then three, then two... After the toe issue, we're down to negative five. And the reason for this review... Be FOREWARNED. KEEP AN EYE OUT for OVERCHARGES and SAFETY. In hindsight, the shower curtain as a blanket wasn't so bad in comparison. Upped the review back up to two... Great facility and quality of resources. Our final day was perfect. We're appreciative if the early morning coffee and accommodating checkout! Our wish for future guests wouto experience our last day every day. In retrospect, I think worcester is in the process of stepping into a service city for traveling families... This place is amazing. Everyone on staff here is very friendly and accommodating making the experience welcoming. The rooms have everything you need. I slept like a baby the first night. The bathroom has an industrial grade crapper! It took my morning dump with no complaints. I really enjoyed the shower, with both attachments everything got clean. Breakfast @ $16 was well worth it. I had 2 cappuccino's, a cup of passion fruit juice and 2 soufflé cups of sausage and mushroom quiche. If in Worcester this is the place to stay. read more

This hotel has pros and cons. The staff is delightful, pleasant, helpful, and professional. The designers did not think through the functionality and comfort of the visitors when making it look modern and clean. I've included photos of deficit's in the bathrooms and designed functions of the frosted glass barn doors throughout the suite. There in one 2 person loveseat and no chairs in the living room. At 3:00 a.m. when somebody turns on the light in the bathroom ,the bedroom is flooded with light. There is no bathroom privacy as it opens to the living room with a glass barn door with a 1 inch space from the wall. The shower curtain was hung 6 inches into the shower so we were crammed into the corner or the curtain was sticking to us. Silly things on management decisions like no luggage racks, so you have to put your suitcases on the floor. The area to hang clothes is zbout 18" wide and shared with a coffee maker. There is one remote for a 2 bedroom suite with 2 TV's.....just silly and short sighted. When I contacted the front desk requesting the luggage rack and an additional remote for the TV, the girl the front desk was very apologetic and said she gets these complaints from guests all the time. The lobby is inviting and relaxing. The bar closes early but again the staff makes up for the inconvenience with pleasantness and going the extra mile to help. The breakfast buffet is exceptional .....clean, well laid out, and fresh food with great selection. There is a full service restaurant connect at the hotel which makes it easy to get any meal of the day. The underground parking is easily accessible and at $15 A-day reasonably priced. I would recommend this a business stay but not necessarily a family or anyone looking for comfort or luxury. At the rates they charge I had higher expectations. I posted this review on the hotel site and got a very gracious reply from management within 3 hours of posting. Hopefully the look at some of these issues and correct for the sake of guest comfort. read more

The hotel room design has full of wasted space. Room is too dark. Bench under the TV. No closet space, no fridge(only tiny champage ref), no microwave in rooms. I still don't understand why it has a a 4 star rating. Internet is slow and there are no available options to increase the speed for additional layer of protection of your web traffic. read more

Didn't book a room here but came in for cocktails. The cocktails are yummy and service is great. There was one cocktail I had that was very good. It had a raw egg on the menu but I asked her to leave it out because eggs are gross. She was so nice and gave me and my friends the opportunity to try the Spanish Porron for free! A great experience. I have stayed here twice. I am a Marriott preferred member. Pro. Comfy Beds, Wonderful shower/bathroom, safe in the room, coffee make Cons. No room service, closet is too small, no where to put your clothes (no dresser) $$$for parking and who the hell wants a European Breakfast for $20.00, no bellman and no pool. Let me just say that I just had the BEST check in experience at this hotel! I love Marriott I'm general and normally always stay at one when I am traveling for work but THIS was extraordinarily nice. When I got to the front desk there were three people that seems to work that seem to work here, they all greeted me warmly. Jenny was so friendly and helpful and she noticed that my card had my salon name on it and struck up a conversation as she also is/was a former stylist. We had a great exchange and the fellow Richard that was also at the desk and we just had a great conversation. In this world, not everyone takes the time to get to know something about you and these two took what is normally a pretty standard exchange and really made me feel extra welcome. I'm a merchant who has traveled far and wide selling my goods. Malakka is the smartest place I have ever been. It is along a beautiful strait and a great port. The advantage of being here is that the port is accessible in all seasons. Although it was a safe place to travel and to trade, it was expensive for a merchant to go, hence the stars lost. They charged my goods when passing through but not enough to make it not worth going. read more

We just stayed at the AC Hotel by Marriott in Worcester, MA for two nights. The suite was large and clean. However, the minimalist concept is not for me. No closet, too little drawers and minimal lighting. It was so dark at night that I couldn't read in the living room or bedroom. The sink was also clogged and they fixed that. When I spoke to the manager, she said she was aware of the closet and lighting problems. She said they working on the problems Instead of bringing lamps to the suite, she gave me extra Marriott points. I'm disappointed. This is the nicest and most sleek hotel I've stayed at in a long time. First hotel I've ever been to without carpet!! Everything is modernized and the shower head is a rainfall. They even have a complimentary shuttle to take you downtown to a restaurant. You have to pay to park your car but at least it is in a garage. Downfall: THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN! I'm writing this as I cannot sleep at 11:55 at night because the person next to me has their TV on loud or they are talking really loud. I have to be up at 5am. read more

Stayed here for the weekend, when I arrived I was charged $600 on my card. I assumed it was to cover both nights and incidentals. Then on the second evening, the AC Hotel tried to charge my card again for $250 additional dollars bringing the grand total to $850, for two nights in Worcester, which is insane. I asked my friend who checked in 30 mins after me how much his card was charged for, $200. So I was charged 3x the amount as someone else who checked in at the same time. The difference between my friend and I, is he is white and I am not. The hotel certainly must not charge $600 to every person who checks in the hotel right ? I've never experienced such a high charge, never mind more charges in the middle of the night. When I attempted to check out I was told I needed to pay more money because my card was declined, where I explained to them that I was already charged $600 which would more than cover my fee. The person at the front desk ignored this and tried to run my card 3 more times (for $200+ each time) while I stood there. Then they told me that a manager would call me and straighten it out. 3 hours later I received a phone call from the AC Hotel looking for someone else! This place is seriously run so poorly they don't even know who they're calling. I then asked if the situation would be handed seeing as it's the middle of the day on a Monday, during very normal business hours and I was assured someone would contact me. 5 hours later, they just charged my card the full amount and no phone call. These people are cowards and shady business people and I will never give my money to this company again. read more

Stayed at this hotel and while away for an event belongings were stolen from the room. Hotel staff were not interested in assisting, told a variety of conflicting stories, and stated that nothing had ever been stolen from the site prior in the years it had been open (despite being located in downtown Worcester- and multiple people being let into the supposedly locked hotel without keys or IDs checked by the manager as she was speaking with us between 12am and 2am). As such, a police report was filed. The police were incredibly helpful, and explained that the GM would contact them the following day (as well as me), should perform a lock interrogation, and the investigation would proceed. Sadly the GM never followed thru. She finally responded to my outreach 4 days after the incident, claimed to have called the police, and that she was unable to access the report. She claimed a lock interrogation had been conducted, however, the times she told me did not even match the many times we entered/exited the hotel room to speak with police between 12am-2am. When I contacted the police, they let me know that the information from the GM was false, and there was no reason the GM could not access the report as all parties names were on the report. As such, this is a very dissatisfied customer. The hotel staff was not interested in assisting even when crimes are committed on property. Very poor customer service. Do not recommend in any way. The one other couple we spoke to at the front desk mentioned they also had an issue when checking in with cleaning staff, as did another person with whom we spoke. Seems that this is not a one time occurrence. read more

Nice brand new hotel, nice rooms. TVs have the option to connect your streaming service, which I like. I was disappointed there was no concierge lounge for rewards program members. Since I'm a gold member the front desk personnel gave me one $10 voucher to use for my whole stay, which wouldn't have covered one breakfast ($16 flat right). I travel often for work and haven't stayed at a higher end Marriott that didn't have a concierge lounge. Also, my room was absolutely freezing even though the temp control said it was 77 degrees (it felt like 60), but it wouldn't allow me to increase the temp. It was summer, so I didn't bring warm clothes but I wish had packed a sweatshirt to sleep in! read more

This is my second stay here in AC Hotel Worcester this month and will probably not do so again. Being unable to rest do to having a motor running in your room all night was not cool at all, when you have 7:30am meetings. I love the Marriott brand hotels and have stayed in many for business and personal reasons but this hotel in Worcester MA was disappointing on both occasions. 1st time was the loud motor running all night, second time was the altitude of the front desk concierge. I will look else where next time I am in Worcester. read more
