I had BAD experience with Comfort Zone Prescott "Roy & Curtis" All I wanted was the unit to get checked and fixed. So I asked a friend whom would you use? Was advise to call Chino Heating & Cooling, so I asked a second person about them. Then I called, and was able to have someone out the next morning. A young man "James" was here right on time (I was not), helped me move crap out of the way to access the HVAC unit and confirmed that the motherboard was going out. Super Thankful that he had one on the truck and was able to install it. However, there is another part that will need replaced soon, Hopefully within this year of 2026 we can save up the funds and I will have 'James' back out. We had our furnace go out (mid Winter with night temps below freezing). I asked my pastor (Mike) if he knew a good HVAC company to call. He recommended we talk to Bradley from Chino Valley Heating and Air. We made an appointment and Roland came out the same day we called! We thought we may have to spend $7k or $8k, but Roland explained that we didn't need a new furnace. It was just the blower motor that needed to be replaced. He had everything (in his truck) we needed for the replacement and one of the parts wasn't the most common because of the age of our system. It was nicer than waiting to order a replacement part and freezing overnight. By the time it was all done and Roland looked over the system, he was able to determine that the house fan (used to circulate air) was not hooked up properly. When he was done we had a better operating, more efficient, working furnace and house fan. I can't recommend these guys enough! They were honest, friendly (even pet friendly) and the customer satisfaction was better than I could have imagined! I can't thank you enough Chino Valley Heating and Air!! read more

Beware. Crew not professional, owner not helpful. After incorrectly and not up to code- installing a new unit (that did not heat or cool) and spending thousands, owner refuses to return our money. These funds are now required, for the corrective repairs to be made- by a different contractor- to my roof, new unit, duct work and thermostat that were damaged or not completed at all. read more

My A/C unit refused to turn on today. I called my regular guy, but it went to voicemail. So, with the house warming up over 80 I called Chino Heating & Cooling. The lady who answered the phone said that she was completely booked until next week, and you can imagine that I was envisioning a very hot house this weekend, but she asked me if I would be willing to take some steps to troubleshoot it. I immediately agreed, knowing that we might be able to figure out exactly what was wrong. So, she patiently took me through several steps inside and outside the house, and my A/C unit came to life! I don't know how many HVAC companies would have done the same thing. I would like to think that most of them do, but my experience has been that they want to do a service call, which would have been some sort of charge. We have been using Chino Heating & Cooling for several years now. As a matter of fact we purchased a new HVAC system from CH&C in 2020. A technician came by in April of this year to make sure everything was working fine and of course it was. For the first time since being in Prescott, we had not used our AC system in June but that changed on June 30th but when we went to the new thermostat the system did not come on. As the night was going to be cool, we were not worried about. On July 1st, a Saturday, we got out the manual and tried many things to get the system working. We called CH&C and got their emergency number for weekend calls. Rolland answered immediately but said because he had four calls ahead of us. As it was already 3 p.m., he said he probably would not get to us until the next morning. When 5 p.m. came and went we were resigned to the fact that we would be spending a very hot night. To our surprise, we received a call at 6 p.m. Saturday night and Rolland said he was two minutes out. He was polite, professional and extremely knowledgeable. He had our A/C working within 15 minutes. We would like to thank Rolland whole-heartedly for taking care of us on a Satuday night. I used Chino HVAC last year to install a mini-split in our upstairs so when my AC stopped blowing cold air in July hot spell I called them to come out. They arrived on a Friday afternoon and the tech hooked up his gauges. He first suggested I might have a blockage somewhere but after calling his service manager they decided it was a bad compressor and they would have to get back to me for a quote. Tech was onsite for 30 minutes and collected $83 fee. They didn't call until midday Monday and quoted $2600 or a whole new unit for over $4K. I decided to get a second opinion and glad I did. There was a stuck valve in the coil (tech never looked at the coils) which the other company diagnosed and fixed the next day ($800). Had we agreed to a new compressor or unit the problem would not have been fixed! They called to see if I wanted to move forward with compressor and I told them what happened. I asked for a refund of the service fee and was told "I'll get back to you". A week and a half later - no phone call. Frankly I'm extremely disappointed in this outfit and will never use them again. They simply wanted to sell me new equipment and did not take the time to properly diagnose the system. I cannot recommend using them. Based on Rachel's reply below I'm upgrading my rating. I appreciate that they did the right thing regarding this and appreciate that they provided a refund which arrived today. I'm agree this was simply a mistake and nothing more. read more

My heater had an issue of heating then not heating as it ran during the day. I called Chino Heating and came out quickly and started troubleshooting the unit. Although it took some time, they were able to get the unit running problem after replacing a switch. They are very professional and make their appointments and call when they are on they way. The made a good first impression but they didn't follow through on a timely basis and the charges were excessive. I asked these people to repair my evaporative cooler on the roof of my rental property. The guy they sent out not only said he couldn't repair it right then and there, he said he could not give me a price on it. Two more people went out to inspect the cooler and I was given a price of over $1700 to replace it but no price to repair it. I was simply told that it would probably cost close to what a new one would cost, just to repair it. I never got my repair estimate. Through Lowes and Home Depot, I discovered that a new unit the size of the one on my roof would cost anywhere from $450 to $550. Therefore, Chino Heating & Cooling was going to charge me over $1200 for the labor to install. That, to me, is highway robbery. Even if Chino Heating & Cooling charged $100 an hour for their services, it would not have taken them any more than three hours to replace my cooler and therefore they were going to charge me four times what would have been reasonable for the installation. Obviously, I did not hire them to install my unit. I repaired it myself for $300. Wow, what a rip off. read more

They installed my original AC/heating unit and when I needed repairs or service I called them, they always worked with me allowing me to make payments since I am disabled and on a fixed income.....I always paid my bill and recently needed my AC serviced explained how we had handled payment in the past and they set up an appointment and I cleared my schedule waiting at home for them to arrive....a few minutes before the service person calls and says they've changed they're policy! This was 5 hours after I had made my appointment! Would of been nice if they would have let me at the time I made my appointment or at least called me right back. read more
