Our appreciation of Phillips started at the timely and helpful response from Debbie their office staff. There was no waiting or phone holds to establish a time and date for our service. Debbie gave us a time and the name of the service technician. Two technicians appeared after they called asking if they could come early. They both spent a great deal of time explaining what went wrong with our thermostat and noted the corrective actions on the paperwork so we would have it for a reference should we experience similar problems in the future. They fixed the thermostat, replaced a missing screw in the air handler, and gave us a useful convenience tip on obtaining an assembled air filter from Phillips. So 25 months ago Phillips did an entire HVAC system replacement. Did a great job BTW. But last Friday I came home and was greater by a horrible noise that turned out to be what a pump running backwards. (See attached video). Anyway, Phillips go out within two days of my call for service. The repairman (sorry forgot his name) was very professional and had my system working within a few minutes. He did several system checks and determined my pump was pulling a bit to much current at start up. So he recommended a Start Assist device. This device reduced the startup current draw from just under 140amps to approximately 70amps. For those unfamiliar, this is a huge decrease. He also made some recommendations that could improve my system performance. All that, and they covered the repairs under warranty even tho I was about a month beyond the limit. All-in-all, it was a great experience and I highly recommend Phillips for your service and repair needs. read more

I have received good customer service from Phillips Heating and Cooling. The office staff is helpful, and Daniel (possible owner) is available, honest and respectful. I like when the office staff answers promptly after just a short answer bot situation. The service technicians Alex and Brian showed up and stayed until a repair was complete. They really impressed me as being knowledgeable about my HVAC unit which is old and pretty obsolete. Rather than push me to replace it immediately they are keeping me informed as to how to care for it and assisting me in advice on its condition. We have had Phillips come out twice when heat & AC went down. First time was a pre winter cold snap & today July 9th Summer meltdown weather and of course our AC decided to not work. So I decided to NOT do business with this company due to very poor communication skills and follow up. I initially called in, explained my furnace issue. I called back to setup an appointment, but wanted to speak with the initially individual so I didn't have to repeat myself. The second person made it sound like they were sitting right next to the first and I was told he would call me back in 5 minutes. They never called me back. Now my initial thought was move on and find another vendor, but I called back. I spoke to a third individual who informed me that the first was not available, and that they would call me back. Due to the delay and lack of follow up I was now unable to get a regular call by the tech, and it would have to be after hours. I told the third it wouldn't be necessary as I would be taking my business else where, and to give this feedback or don't give the feedback to your supervisor, manager, and or owner. And that if any of them would like to have this discussion I would be more than happy to have it. I also told them that I would be stopping by here to provide a review of their poor service. I will never be recommending this company to anyone, I will also make an effort and take the time to tell anyone who is willing or needing to listen as to why I shall not ever recommend them. We are new home owners, and they could have easily had earned themselves a new customer for a very long time into the future. Instead they get a 1 star review, and me flaming them on Google and Yelp. we scheduled our semi-annual HVAC-Heat system for July 5th between 11:00 and 1:00. Our Tech arrived early butcalled before coming, we appreciated the early arrival and the call. He was hear about 2 hours we didn't even realize it unless he asked us a question. The services on the units were completed without a problem and he gave us a complete report and explanation of what had been done and verified we would have service around September to complete all the services.
