Misleading information, or lying, false representation, confrontational attitude by the manager when we confronted him about the separation in the roof and other issues should have made us go elsewhere. Unfortunately we purchased a camper an 3 miles down the road the weather stripping blew off. No big deal we can fix it and seal the roof because everyone standing around needed to charge the appropriate department. However go to use the water and no pressure. My opinion would be toxic environment struggling to get by and take customers for all they can with no remorse or conscious for a checked out and functioning 20k camper. read more

The salesperson I dealt with was knowledgeable. That's where the good part ends. Put $500 deposit at the Omaha show, ended up not buying because their rates are ridiculous, $62k payoff on a $23k camper.... They will not return your deposit. It is amazing to say how poor service can change an opinion. We bought a camper in May of 25 used it 3 times. Somehow water damage happened. Maybe was there prior maybe it was a bad seal? AC Nelson inspected the camper prior to pick up and said it was ready to go. AC had the camper since Oct 25 and did nothing. Called and said everything was done. Come get it. Get there and nothing completed. Look 6 months for tech to look at the damage and state that there is no way the AC leaking caused that! Almost 6 months!!! Check the photos shows purchase date, in date, and completion date. This place is a joke. 20k plus and now 5k in damages to pay! Save yourself the trouble and invest somewhere else! read more

We bought our first camper from AC Nelsen, a 25-foot toy hauler. The experience was so good, we went back for an upgrade about 2 years later. We picked out a 29-footer that was about the same as our Grey Wolf 18RRBL, with 4 feet of extra space. I was working with Chuck Ousey and Tony Anderson, who called me with the news that the Minnesota location had whisked our trailer away overnight - even though we'd made a deposit - to sell to another customer. Tony genuinely felt bad about the way this had gone. Of course, we were cautiously optimistic given a few bad experiences with sales folks from other dealerships in the past. Tony, the sales manager at AC Nelsen, offered us a 26MBRR-BL (33-footer) for a price that we couldn't beat anywhere. Even though we were initially skeptical, it turned in to an awesome experience with honest folks. We will be back to AC Nelsen for our next camper. Footnote: When the technicians changed over my dual-battery setup, one of the techs reversed the polarity and popped a couple of fuses -- oof. Many thanks to Fernando for his patience and excellent help walking me through replacing these fuses hidden deep in the cabinetry. We bought a used unit that they kept for an extra week so they could supposedly go over everything and make sure it was all working properly. We picked it up and the first time we tried to use the shower, it had issues. we had to fight with them to get them to agree to purchase a new shower unit and then pay for the tech at our location to do the work. They finally agreed to cover the cost of the shower unit and the tech bill. They have only purchased the shower unit to date. My husband has been going back and forth with them for weeks now to get them to pay the tech bill as agreed to. They keep giving my husband the run around and even providing false numbers to call to get it the issue resolved. Don't tell a customer you are going to do something and then give them the run around after. There's NO EXCUSE! I do not recommend AC Nelsen RV World to anyone. They are liars and don't care about customers once you leave the lot. read more

The service department had our vehicle longer than we have and said we can take it and they will fix the rest when the parts come in. Two months later they are not responding, and things have not been fixed. We just got back from camping and things they said were fixed have not been. We were looking for a new travel trailer to purchase and came across AC Nelsen. We live in Phoenix and the same trailer here was going for $10k more than AC Nelsen. So driving a day and a half up there to pick it up was well worth it. During the process, it took us about 5 weeks to get up there to get it, and they had no issues with that. In fact their first appointment to pick it up was actually 3ish weeks after purchasing due to the volume they sell, so it was ok to go an additional two weeks. We were met there by the sales person who was very nice and personable. Then it was time for the walk through and they spent about 90 min with us. Would have prob been a tad longer but it was 38 degrees and raining so we all wanted out of the weather! They installed our WDH and explained the process to utilize it and the service manager who did all this was very helpful and gave us lots of tips. It was time for us to leave and they threw in some camping chairs on the house which was unexpected and very nice. All in all we were extremely pleased with the entire process and are grateful for their customer service. read more

The Attorney General will be contacted. For example, why, when paying cash for a $999 hitch, does that amount show in the purchase price of the trailer? What a joke. Brand new travel trailer leaks everywhere that uses water. Issues found after first trip: Kitchen sink leaks both from the faucet and the pipe under the sink; bathroom sink leaks, shower leaks, black tank wash leaks into the inside of the camper; fresh water tank leaks out of the release valve drain. I am not solely blaming AC Nelsen for this as the factory is to blame as well. I am, however, calling AC Nelsen out for their piss poor service department. Called the week we got back from out trip. First appointment available was 1 1/2 months out. Take it in today on our scheduled day & time and are told it will be 5-7 days before it even makes it into a bay to be serviced. What exactly is the point of making an appointment? I get it, spring/summer/fall are busy for them. But waiting almost 2 months for service is unacceptable. At this point I would not be surprised if it is still there and we have to cancel out Labor Day trip. read more

I would give zero stars if I could as well. out of state buyer. we bought a 2021 camper that had been used for 5 montus and the family traded it in for something else. that being said we got a decent deal. HOWEVER, they are supposed to go through EVEY system on campers before re-selling. our camper delivered with balding tires on the outside edges cause the axels weren't aligned. the water heater plug was rusted and stripped, they put plumbers tape on it and tapped in with a hammer. can't make this sh&t up. a new playground for the water heater costs $12 lol. the finance manger Rich. slipped a $2000 warranty in the contract that he never told us about, never asked, nothing. Thats stealing and it's also fraud. when we finally caught looking at our papers after they mailed us all our papers we called right away and were like what the hell?!? he went on to smooth talk it over and went on about how good it was, and how we would want it. It's bumper to bumper all parts and service including mobile repair. total bullshit. not a single repair guy would use it saying that the company would always not cover the whole bill. so after multiple propane leaks and a small list of other stuff including a whole new stove and oven (6 months of ownership) all the repairs came out of our pocket or we had to figure it out on our own. we've been calling to resolve it and now rich is a total asshole and let's not forget a fraud thief, but hey he got his commission. now canceling this 3 year contract right 1 year they only want to give half of it back. yup HALF, I would but TP from this place if I were covered in shi$. They try to art of distraction and redirecting to get you to pay attention to other features of the vehicle. Never directly accounting for the repairs they did, answering questions regarding the vehicle and not following through with regards to inquiries of previous service. RUN. We have had nothing but good service from AC Nelsen. We picked up our current 5th wheel from them in March of 2020 (right before Covid). The entire experience was very good. They were not pushy and didn't try to sell us anything extra. We did end up buying an extended warranty which really wasn't very expensive and is good for 5 years. The buying experience was outstanding compared to our first camper at Camping World in CB. Fast forward to April 2023 and we needed some service. The solar panels weren't keeping the batteries charged, a slide floor was seperating from the wall, and we needed the bearings repacked. AC Nelson not only didn't gouge us for the services but they got everything taken care of very quickly. From the droppoff time to pickup time was only 3 weeks and the pricing was exceptional. I will also say that their store has literally everything you need for reasonable prices. Most of the accessories we've bought have come from AC Nelson's store. I can not recommend them more for all of your RV needs. read more

I helped my kids buy a New camper-trailer from AC Nielsen. The sales division was very helpful and we bought one right from the showroom. My husband and I saw a camper that we fell in love with while with the kids. A week or so later, we returned and bought what seemed a very nice trailer that we had previously viewed. Gerry was very helpful and got us through the sale and also helped us with recommendations for sway bar systems. He was great! Unfortunately, after our 1st rain at home, we saw that the roof leaked in the living room area and when we pulled back the carpet, the sub-flooring was warped from obvious past leakage. Since it was a used, 5 yr old camper, we knew all repairs were on us. Our 1st camping trip2 wks later, brought more surprises. We had caulked the roof and cleaned up the floor but to our surprise, only a few of the wall plug ins worked (electrical issue-not just a fuse!), the water heater was missing its closure lid (but didn't work anyway-so who cares!!) and the air conditioning was totally out of Freon. We COOKED for 3 days!!!! I don't mean food..... As it turned out, my kids' new camper had a few problems too. Since they were on full warranty, I told them to just call the dealership and set up a fix-it day for the sticking door and various electrical issues. HA! They struggled to get the camper into the shop in a timely manner and they got it back to see the door frame had been "fixed" with a sledgehammer. Their kids were able to open and close the door by themselves, but the frame was nothing but waves all the was down. They were able to see sunlight in places with the door closed. When my son called them to complain and demand a new frame, they fought him tooth and nail. They had, "Fixed the problem, end of conversation." Buyer beware!!! ***(1) If you buy a camper from Anywhere, check all electrical outlets and systems. (2) Open all cupboards and closets, which are usually in the corners. Look inside along the ceiling and walls for water damage. This is where it pools and hides. (3) Check baseboards and edges of the flooring for past water issues. (4) Lastly, make sure slide-out(s) glide smoothly and that all hand crank items work properly. You've worked for your money so make them work for theirs...... read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. We purchased a 2020 RV from them 388 days ago. 163 days, you read that right, one hundred and sixty three days, it's been in their possession. They've had to work on the couch, the floor, the heater, the air conditioner, the fridge, the microwave, the kitchen faucet, the bathroom ventilation, the fireplace mantel and the hot water heater. While they do their shotty work they damaged the side table, broke the handle off the fireplace door, damaged the trim on the island, and caused water damage from improper storage during work. This last time they asked us to drop it off in May to fix the new issues and repair the previously improperly fixed issues, then cancelled and asked us to bring it back mid June, then waited until warranty expired and told us they're not going to fix the remaining issues. I've tried to work with the Manufacturer, one was caring and helpful, but left, then the guy who took over was a condescending jerk, who thankfully isn't on our case anymore, but now the Manufacturer is saying that since the warranty has lapsed any issues from here on out are between AC Nelsen and I ... way to back your quality Cherokee I have email proof between AC Nelsen and I, the Manufacturer and I, and voice record between one of the Techs and I at AC Nelsen. I'm not sure how to get their attention to back their product and do quality work, this review likely won't matter to them either, since nothing else has, but I pray if nothing else this review may at least help someone else not wind up in a similar nightmare. read more

Bought a new camper here a year ago (2019). It is falling apart. Exterior decals are falling off, water leaks, electrical issues. The original experience buying the camper was good, but getting parts or service after that is difficult. I understand they sell a lot of campers, so service or parts after the fact is probably not high on the list, but that doesn't change how painful it can be. If you are looking to buy here, look very closely at the craftsmanship. I have asked several times for quotes on parts and can't get them. Be very clear and get the answers you need on after sales service and parts before you sign anything. read more

I don't even know how to accurately describe the experience we had with this dealership. From the start salesperson Ginger acted as if we were bothering her. Could not answer even the basic questions about the units we were interested in. Despite her we still managed to get a purchase price and trade in agreement. However when she actually got around to e-mailing it to us it was $1k more due to her not calculating the tax properly. Wife and I still wanted the camper, but did not want to deal with her. So we changed to talking to Gerry. He was extremely helpful and eager to help us through the purchase. Answered all of our questions in a timely manner. So fast forward a week later. I drive the 90 miles from my house to the dealership pulling my trade-in with me. Fully prepared to write a check for the balance and schedule a delivery date. Arrived on site and talked to Gerry for a few minutes. He went to get a hard copy of the purchase agreement and returned with his Manager in tow. Things changed real fast. Body language and tone of voice from the GM was one of anger and hostility. I asked for a copy of the Purchase agreement three times. Never did get it. He was so fixated on the tax that he was unable to think of anything else even though I repeatedly told him that it was a non issue. The more we talked to more apparent it became that he was extremely agitated. I asked for the Purchase agreement one more time. Manager and Gerry left the office. Close to 10 minutes later I was still sitting there waiting for either one of them to return. So I walked out and drove away with my trade-in. Drove to a dealership 30 miles away. Ended up buying a nice camper with allot more amenities for just a few hundred dollars more. There is an old saying about how the customer is always right. It's not true. But the customer is always the one with the $$ to spend. The camper we would have purchased from them has been on their lot for 11 months. We purchased a brand new camper 2 years ago and have had nothing but issues with A C Nelsen's service department. We had our camper 8 months when it started leaking. After numerous phone calls to the service department and arguing with them, we took our camper in to have them tell us there were no leaks after having water pour down our wall 2 weeks prior. 2 months later they agreed to look at it again because our window had leaked and soaked the paneling by the dining table. They told us we must have left the window cracked and sent us on our way. We are still having leaking issues with our window when it rains and we are out of our manufacturer's warranty so neither Forest River or A.C. Nelsen will give it the time of day. Well we went to pickup our travel trailer Saturday morning 10 am, stayed in Lincoln to make sure we were there on time. When were taken to the delivery walk through, the dealership tried the switch on us, said this was the one, no it wasn't I informed them we had several options that were no longer on the unit and the interior was different. We had pictures of the original one. That changed there story to that there was no guarantee that you would get the unit saw. They were willing to install the options but for an extra charge. We said no thanks, demanded our down payment and we walked. To be fair we had to cancel our deliveries two times for snow and one for medical reasons, but that didn't give then the right to change our trailer, we even offer more money down to show we were serious about the purchase. Our salesman was great but the sales manager was nowhere to be seen and made the salesman do all the negotiating on his behalf. Thanks AC Nelson in Omaha. read more

Our experience with Mike our sales person was pleasant. He was patient and answered our many questions as we went through every toy hauler to find the one for us. We went back in a week to pick it up. After that it became a struggle for them to send us a $200 part that they knew needed repair and assured us they would take care of quickly. DO NOT EXPECT GOOD OR FREINDLY SERVICE. At the walk through the service person pointed out both fender skirts were broken, he put some epoxy on them and assured us new ones were on order. We live 216 miles away, asked for the parts to be sent to us told yes not a problem. Told it would take about 4 weeks. Called to check 4 weeks later told they were on order, not in yet. Finally after 6 weeks called Feather Lite Company talked with sales rep Angie. She looked up our name found vin number and info on our toy hauler but said nothing is on order, that part was not even on order in their system. Said when dealer places order it would take about 5 days they could drop ship part with our info on invoice. Called dealer talked to service person, Don, that could care less and had negative attitude. Insisted the part was on order until I told him we talked to Angie at the company. Decided to check and called back later told me that it was a mistake sorry. Told me they don't drop ship and if the part came to us broken or damaged through the mail we were stuck with the part couldn't return it. I questioned him as to why and didn't get answer. Asked how long it would take, no definite answer. He asked what I wanted. We want the part we were promised when we signed for the toy hauler in good faith. We offered to replace the part ourselves, received instruction from service person at time of pick up on how to do it. He told me to drive back to the dealer, they would replace it and some story about warranty. Explained I live 31/2 hours away. Said can't help me then. At one point he said "I'm putting the phone down, and did, when he came back he said that I could either keep questioning him and hollering at him or listen to what he had to say. Which was sorry but not responsible and what was I going to do about it. Told him we were bringing toy hauler back and purchasing from another dealer and he laughed. Called our sales person Mike. Ready to bring toy hauler back and cancel deal because we hadn't made a payment yet. He had Neil call us who is the service manager. Unfortunately his attitude and approach was not any better. No one could understand why we were upset because we could not get the part they promised in a timely manner. Neil asked me to go take pictures . Didn't have my phone but took measurements. Next day called with I have a couple in my office but nothing is the measurements you sent me, almost to the point of saying I didn't know how to measure, then I can call the company and have them get their heads out of their butts and send the right ones. Took the tape and my phone and sent him video. Called to find out if he received everything, took him 2 days. Had a few phone calls with Angie at Feather Lite, she was sorry we were treated that way, not sure why we were getting such a hassle from dealership because they replace parts all the time. Gave me name of other dealer closer to us for repair. Called them they were more than happy to help just couldn't do it in time for our AZ trip and they didn't care where the rv was purchased or warranty or bad mouth Feather Lite. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR SERVICE NEEDS. It's a shame that the front office is so pleasant and service ruins that experience. We will not go back. read more

Went to ac nelsen looking for an install for a truck camper (frame tie down system). They seemed to have little or know idea what i was asking about. Service dept. sent me to parts dept. The lady there was nice but had no idea why service sent us there. So I went back to service and asked them if I was to buy a new truck camper from there lot, who can install the tie downs? The employee gave me two phone numbers to out source the job, instead of saying they just cant do it. I called both numbers and inquired about the install, told them AC Nelsen gave me their phone number they said "maybe we can help". I then called Apache camper in Lincoln, and they knew exactly what I was talking about. Apache asked make and model of truck and all was settled instantly. AC Nelsen needs to get with it I guess. You know its bad when the service guy at AC Nelsen says "just google it". LOL wow. read more

Buyer Beware! Horrible experience from the moment I walked in the door. If you have a trade-in, especially beware. These guys will low-ball you and feed you the most believable B.S. They're not the sharpest sales force either because they'll actually challenge you to find a better deal, then have the audacity to ask you to come back when you don't find that better deal. They not only offered me $4,000 less than what my trade-in was worth on the low-end, but then tried to justify it by saying I was getting a great sale price on the new RV. I took their challenge and went to a competing dealership. Within three hours, I found a nicer, better quality RV at a better price AND they didn't hesitate to offer me the full trade-in value, so I got the $4,000 I expected. When I called the salesman at AC Nelsen and told him to cancel my credit application and refund my $500 deposit, he tried to dispute the great new deal I got by saying he was saving me more money with the ridulous sale price he was giving me and he literally stated that the $4,000 difference was no big deal. Think about that for a second...if the $4,000 was no big deal, then why didn't they give it to me to firm up this so-called better deal. He also made a passing comment that the new dealership is probably selling me a cheap quality RV. Nice professional, courtesy behavior from a Salesman. When I insisted that he cancel my application, he became rude and hung up. It was, without a doubt, the most ridiculous experience I've ever had. read more

Bought an RV here in 2008. Like pulling Teeth to get them to fix the many problems all new RV's have. They also hard sold us a 2000 dollar extended warranty that was completely worthless when it came time to TRY and use it. A few years later when we wanted to trade the RV back to them for a newer better rig, They were not the least bit interested in doing that. We spent nearly 40K at this place. They are VERY NICE people to BUY from. They will not help you much after that. I would avoid this place. I do not work for any other RV business. read more
