    I called a few different installers to get quotes. Inphase was about $10hr higher than other competitors but had good reviews. So I figured I'd give them a call. A man named Jimbo answered and said he got a last minute cancellation and got me in same day which was awesome. Upon arrival was greeted pleasantly by jimbo and he gave me a quote that was around the $95hr & also an equipment piece which i would need for my install. This amount was what I expected to pay on checking out. Now they had to do some special work getting the backup camera in and added another installer to get it done towards the end. Is that my problem that he couldn't get it done by himself?! I was not told it would DOUBLE the amount per hour for that time,though he says i was informed?! I guess you just need to assume you know that. The work looked clean except for a big scratch across the faceplate of my in dash dvd player! And upon checking out...the price was almost Double what was quoted. 5 hrs of time for a head unit,4 speakers,2 tweeters a powered sub that lays in there and a backup camera. It was alot of work no doubt. But 4 hrs at $95 and 1 hr at double plus the $80 equipment charge showed on the bill as: 1 hr at $95 and the other hours at $125,$150,150 & $175!!!! Are we speaking a different language when it comes to an hour?!? Can you stack multiple hour and a half work into a single hour over and over?!? I guess so!! And when I called to explain that the charges didn't add up-I was immediately given attitude from Jimbo for saying "I don't think I was charged correctly." Moral of the story is be careful not to take quotes at face value!!!! I know I can get a better price for the same work and probably not have a gash in my dvd face to boot! If you have $$$ to throw at them, great. Otherwise buyer beware!!!! Oh as a side note, not sure if this is indicative of the company or people there, but there was an older gentleman who was 'hanging out' talking to an employee just gabbing. When he was leaving he turned to look at me and then loudly said "Go Trump" to his colleague! They were not talking politics at any point. Could it be my Asian Hawaiian descent?! His comment while ignorant in(meant to be racist?)since he was looking right at me but speaking to the employee might not be indicative of the company's views...but who knows? Now after complaining,I did meet with the owner who after much discussion did want to make things right! And did with a slight refund closer to the quoted price. It was explained to me that the price I paid was a fair price but definitely was under quoted. So we met in the middle leaning a bit in my favor. Also the scratches were actually on a screensaver that had not been peeled off thank goodness. I wanted to be transparent with this as well. I do feel much more important than my initial entry!

    I RECEIVED A BUSINESS CARD WITH A PICTURE OF A HAND AND RAISED MIDDLE FINGER drawn on the back. Stopped in today for a quote on car stereo equipment and met with Jason. The visit was mainly positive with a few areas of concern. First, the quote is very generic and makes no mention of the specific products being purchased. Secondly, I RECEIVED A BUSINESS CARD WITH A PICTURE OF A HAND AND RAISED MIDDLE FINGER drawn on the back. Perhaps the picture is indicative of what this business thinks about potential customers OR the picture could have been specially drawn for lil ol' me! Either way, if I'm shown the middle finger BEFORE the sale, I can only imagine what I'd be shown after the sale. This is further evident from reading the reviews of Anna M and others. Unlike them, I'm not taking any chances so I chose to do business elsewhere. I even ended up purchasing $500 MORE products and services than the quote they provided! I would be remiss for not mentioning the wannabe tough guy who works there (you know who you are). Here's a tip for you......you can't intimidate a real tough guy! Inphase Car Audio I'm giving your business card back! Hahaha! It's funny how that works!

    Jesse is awesome to work with. Very customer focused and not just trying to sell the most expensive gear. Recommended to me by ICC. Great referral. ICC rocks for home sound systems. Inphase rocks for car & boat.

To come to the point - I went to Gateway on the opposite end of town from me, to look at another vehicle that ended up not being a good match for me, but, next to it was a Honda Pilot, little older, with some miles. Vehicle had some moderate work done yet, Ben offered this information without my even asking. Try getting THAT somewhere else!!! Perfect vehicle for my needs. Love it! Now it's time to talk money and I meet Ben, the co-owner and main sales force. The vehicle seemed to need a couple minor things to help make me comfortable with the purchase, and these were done, WITH a LOANER car, thanks to Ben. Dave at the front counter is Ben's right hand man, and very capable. Every employee I bumped into or interacted with at Gateway was at minimum professional, and as I understand it they are all ASE certified! Between them all, the agreed minor repairs were completed, my full smile installed, deal struck. A good deal. In closing, now many hundreds of miles later, my vehicle is running and behaving perfectly. I bought this at a fair price and Dave and Ben did what they said they would do, and did so respectfully and promptly. They handed me information NO used car seller would ever do, and kept their promises. I would not recommend anyone buy a used vehicle before looking at what Gateway has to offer. I never thought you could actually trust a used car sales operation, but, I was wrong. Semper Fi

    Recently, we purchased a new desktop computer and a printer from Best Buy. The printer is a HP…read moreSmart Tank 5100 series. The associate provided us with several incorrect details during the purchase process. We were instructed to download the Hp.123.com application for the printer, which charges an annual fee of $59.99. The printer was priced at less than $200. The software indicates that an Instant Ink subscription is available; however, after setting up the printer, this subscription was not accessible for the 5100 series. Contrary to the associate's assurance, the printer does not print in draft mode or grayscale. We are incurring significant costs for ink at regular prices, and it is not possible to purchase only black ink; all colors are required. This situation appears to be deceptive. Relying on staff for accurate information is unacceptable when they provide false details. Additionally, we purchased a Microsoft 365 subscription for $179.00, for which a key code was provided on a printed receipt. I inquired whether Geek Squad could assist with the installation on our computer, with a quoted fee of $40.00. Since the computer was purchased at the same location, we were advised to install the software ourselves at home, with the option to return the computer if issues arose. Our total expenditure for these goods and services amounted to $1,615.54. RUN FROM BEST BUY!!!!!!!
