River Street Ranch - RIVER STREET RANCH, San Juan Capistrano, CA!

    River Street Ranch

    (811 reviews)

Came by River Street Ranch and honestly... a bit overrated…read more It's a smaller spot than expected, so don't come in thinking it's a full-on big attraction. You can get through everything pretty quick. That said, it's still a nice place to check out if you're already in the area or want something easy to do with kids. The setup is clean and organized, and there's enough little things to keep it interesting for a short visit. Think more "quick stop" than "plan your whole day around it." Overall, it's decent, not a must-go destination, but not bad either. Good to add to your list if you're nearby and just want something simple to do.

BOYCOTT UNTIL THEY LOWER PRICES…read more People can complain all they want about how insanely expensive this place is, but they're not going to change anything if people keep on going and paying the astronomical rates. Children (35 months and older) are $13, adults are $16, and seniors are $13. On top of that, you have to pay a aa carte for each of the experiences: $5 for the train, $3 for the excavator, $5 for the tractor and the killer is $6 for a basket of vegetables to feed the animals that probably won't be out because of the heat. The "entry fee" should be $5 for everyone, but at least have kids and seniors pay $5 and do $10 for adults who literally just stand there and watch their kids. The sheer cost of trying to do anything cool wiith your kids that is also fun for adults is ridiculous.

Still -1 star because it is the same management and owner who let the place get run down to the ground in the first place... and they still have a bunch of teenage boys hired to run the place. I just worry how long they can keep this place looking good. If something breaks will they just use tape to cover it up again? Good news is that I did see one of them cleaning the a spot in the mat at one point, so there is hope. However the eating area was pretty messy and dirty and I never saw anyone cleaning up. Also, there are too many people there on the weekends so you have to really follow your kid around not to lose them. Staff supervision seems loose. Overall, I'm willing to now bring my 3 year old here but am hoping the staff step it up.

I tried on my phone, still got refused. The front desk manager insisted it was my bank's issue. Excuse me this is not only my card but 4 other cards that other people have. And one of the card just paid for today's 2 hour pass! He said they couldn't do anything. No cash, I should call my bank. ?? I was so unsatisfied with that manager's attitude, he was not trying to solve the problem but concluded it was my problem.

Sky Zone Trampoline Park - Party Room #2!

    Sky Zone Trampoline Park

We had one of the worst possible scenarios for my daughter's bday…read more.. We apparently booked a party room in the wrong location (in New York!!). Hearing that, we had to figure out how to make a party of 15 guests work for a 8 year old, completely excited girl ready to have a blast with her friends My husband went in person and immediately asked for the manager. Jonathan heard our dilemma and offered to help us out. Unfortunately there were no party rooms available. But He set aside 3 tables at the back of the park, gave us table covers and everything as if we were having the party in a room. He got pizzas made, drinks and checked our party in. Jonathan took care of us without hesitation and my daughter and her friends had a BLAST! Our Sunday flop day turned into a great day to remember. Thanks to Jonathan and his team for making it possible

Booking online was a breeze and each staff member I spoke with when finalizing numbers was extremely helpful. We loved that all of the plates, cups, and utensils were included, as well as pizza and drinks. All we had to bring was our cake and some extra snacks for the kiddos. When we showed up on our day, the staff that handled the check-in process was kind and helpful. They provided a rack on rollers to store all of our guest's birthday gifts, which made it really easy to roll everything out to our car at the end of our party time. We also had a party attendant that took care of all of the set up, food serving, and clean up. This is where our day really shined! Sky Zone Mission Viejo managers, listen up: Ryan P....this dude was legendary! We could really tell how much he loves his job. He helped us load our stuff in, carried our cooler up and down the stairs, and eased the set up tremendously. That was all great, but the way he interacted with the kids was next level! He brought up balloons and played keep away. The way he served the kids pizza by dropping it on their plates was making them all laugh hysterically. His energy and enthusiasm went far beyond what we could have ever expected and we appreciated him so much! He really made everyone, including our son, feel special. Give this man a raise! Now about the trampoline park itself....let's face it....it's chaos. Full and pure chaos. Kids everywhere. Noise decibel level 1,000. You can't hear yourself think. But it is what it is and it comes with the territory. More importantly, it's clean and the kids had an absolute blast! 10/10 recommend if you're looking for a high energy birthday party and don't want to put a lot of effort into planning.

Child Creativity Lab takes donated every day items (Lego pieces, empty prescription containers, bottle caps, buttons, wine corks, new popsicle sticks as well as excess items from various companies (excess fabric, plastic bottles, paint, pins, tacks, glue, zippers, etc.) and they put them together in a package so that kids can assemble them them and create a figure like a robot or animal out of all the parts. Before COVID they used to have in house workshops, but now they take the party out to the kids in city community centers, schools, etc. My friend planned a service event here so I came over to help out for a couple of hours. All the parts for the project were laid out at various stations and we went down like an assembly line and filled bags with the items to create a project-in-a-bag for each child. If I was a kid in elementary school receiving a project bag like this to put together with other classmates, I would be totally stoked. If you are interested in donating common household items for them to use, give them a call to see what they do and don't take. You can also arrange to do a service event here with your organization, they have people come in every week to help out. We need more places like this in all communities!
