Just got back from this restaurant after giving it a chance for the first time. We got inside and ordered our meals. The first order was a huarache which came out to us COLD.. don't know how they thought it was okay to serve it out like that. The tortillas were alright, not really all that good. Really great Mexican food! We had it delivered to our hotel nearby so can't comment on the actual place but the food was very good - super authentic and fresh. We had the chicken nachos, quesadilla, chips and cheese and enchilada - all were so good, filling. Sides of beans and Spanish rice were good. Be sure you get the queso - it was outstanding! Bring cash! I ordered take-out for lunch since I work nearby. After waiting 10 min or so my food was ready and the host (who looked like he might be the manager) went to cash me out. My debit card did not work. We swiped it twice and even tried a different card, every time it came back as "transaction failed." A big thank you to the handsome stranger behind me who offered to pay for my meal, unfortunately he was in the same boat as me and without cash. We both wound up at the gas station next door paying to access our own money at the ATM. The whole ordeal used up my entire lunch break and then some. The plus side? Is there another place by the same name? Cause after reading the reviews I was excited but the place I just ate was by FAR the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. Two of us went. I ordered Chicken Fajitas and the other ordered a burrito. By the time I got my fajitas, he was already done eating (about 20 min later). The fajitas literally tasted like they cut chicken in slices and fried it. No seasoning no flavor. I asked for sour cream to give it some type of taste and they stated they didn't have sour cream. Literally Taco Bell has better Mexican food. $35 bucks for both of us and I literally only had two bites. I will never go back there. First the tejano music was amazing, considering it was blaring for over thirty minutes from a road worker's cell phone. We were in fact the minority and the majority did not seem to mind. As my boyfriend and I were heading down to Atlanta for the weekend I had the sudden urge for a burrito. After a quick yelp search we found Acapulco Burrito and thought it looked promising enough to let our spoiled CA taste buds decide. After tasting the Burrito Mexicano and Burrito Mole I can proudly proclaim that we have found a Mexican restaurant that can satisfy our cravings! The chips and salsa were delicious as well! Authentic Mexican/Central American food right at the highway exit! The food is fantastic. We ordered one Mexican burrito, cheese & chicharon papusa, and steak chalupa and two cokes for the two of us. The burrito was the best. It was fresh, filled with ground chorizo and fresh veggies, then topped with Mexican melted cheese. The papusa was a close second and was a soft homemade corn tortilla pocket filled with cheese with specks of pork. It was warm, soft, and delicious. When you order they provide you with fresh chips and the best fresh homemade salsa for free. The food comes with two types of homemade hot sauces, or you can choose from about four bottled international brands that are on the table to use as you like. The bill came to $17 and it was quick and convenient. One star was subtracted for the cleanliness. The restrooms are only for guests but are dirty and the floor in the restaurant was slippery from food on the floor. I will be back the next time we are going through Nashville. read more

As a trucker I have been to various mexican ish type restaurants around the country including in so cal.. Where I reside. This is by far the best i have had since Ensenada Mexico. The prices are beyond fair. A giant Quesadilla with rice and beans and a Coke for 7 bucks! Wow you cant even find these prices in Cali. A co-worker of mine mentioned that this place had pretty good salsa, and he was right! The salsa is so delicious! The rest of their menu great too. I've had the Burrito Texas and the chimichanga so far and both have been full of flavor. The burrito texas has this awesome red sauce. You can also add a little kick to your food with two different made in house hot sauces they have on the table. I'm definitely glad this place is nearby. Excellent remodel I've been coming here for a while for lunch -about maybe 6-10 times a year. The service is very good and the food is so authentic and delicious! Taco Bell has nothing on this food. The space is very clean and always full of happy families enjoying their meals! The fresh made salsa you get upon arrival is very light and flavorful. The jarred stuff has nothing on it. This was the only Mexican food I had in Nashville while I was there on a work trip and it was decent. I ordered a plain ol' bean and cheese burrito because I figured a place couldn't screw that up. It was good, but it had rice in it as well, which isn't what a bean and cheese burrito is supposed to entail. The burrito itself was a decent size for $5.00 and the place was cute and inviting. It is actually a sit down restaurant which I wasn't aware of, I thought it would be more like a taco shop. I was a bit disappointed since I was on a 30 minute lunch break, but they actually made the food to go for me in 10 minutes or so, so it worked out.. If I was permanently in Tennessee and worked down the street at the facility I was training at, I would probably go there once a while for lunch time still, especially since it is the only Mexican joint in the area. This is a sure fire way of knowing the food was good, and this place was textbook. In my opinion this is the BEST Mexican food in Nashville! The food wasn't that frozen, and microwaved "food" they serve at most "Mexican" restaurants in the area. The portions are enormous, the salsa and guacamole are fresh, and the tortillas are HOMEMADE!
