We celebrated a birthday here and it was a great time with plenty of food! If you're looking for an array of seafood platters, they have it covered. The service was great once we were seated. The energy was happy and loud with the mariachi band playing and people dancing by their tables. The low rating would be for the never ending wait at the host stand for those who were wanting to eat here. Thankfully we made the cut but it was unfortunate to feel like I had to watch people standing waiting and eventually leaving . The ceviche was fresh and very tasty. I would come back but I'm not sure if I'd have to same luck getting a table!

Always amazing seafood. Very authentic. Love the mariachi bands that play almost daily and the great vibe it creates

What an incredible spot! My husband and I shared the molcajete mariscos and it was such an amazing experience. It was filled with tons of seafood - one of the best seafood dishes I've ever had and for such a great value. We will definitely be back!

If you are looking for amazing seafood, incredible service, and a fun atmosphere LOOK NO FURTHER. The food here is all incredibly fresh and BOMB! We started out w their free appetizer which was this amazing fish mixture eaten w tostadas. Oh my lord. I could've filled up on that alone! It's soooo good! Then we had a zone fresh oysters w lime... a dash of hot sauce and salt, holy!!! So good!! We ended up sharing a platter as a group for the entire table of the best crab legs, prawns, and fresh shrimp. The sauce this was all on top of is just delicious! We had 4 grown hard working men at the table and myself and one of these platters was even too much for all of us. See the picture! You can not and will not go wrong here. It's so good!! We went on a Tuesday night and the atmosphere was perfect. They didn't have their band playing on the stage but I have heard that on Friday and Saturday nights, this restaurant is packed and loud and so much fun! Give it a try. You will not be disappointed!

Wonderful restaurant, great food and awesome customer care service! I'm new to Tennessee and this is by far the best restaurant I have visited so far!!!

Recommended by friends. We had a hard time ordering because the menu doesn't describe the dishes - it's pictures with prices. When we asked them what was in it, they didn't really know. We wanted to get the big tray so we could try everything, but we couldn't tell by the picture what all was in it. There was stuffed lobster & fried fish with a whole bunch of bland shrimp. I wanted the fish it was nice and crispy- could've been seasoned a little more. It wasn't a bad deal for $135. (Im mad I accidentally deleted the pictures) The ceviche was ok. The drinks were weak. Now, we loved the tilapia stuffed with crab l, shrimp & mushrooms topped with cheese. The crazy part is that their bread & rice was very flavorful we loved that too. I'd go again- now I know exactly what to order. Everyone left with togo boxes & we were all stuffed.

Stuffed Tilapia Very well presented, will probably not have it again, As an Afro-American dinner, that doesn't speak a word of Spanish,

A very pleasant experience, the food was very bountiful and plentiful. Had the Stuffed Tilapia with Crab and Shrimp a little too much for me. Couldn't really get my taste around the food so many thing's happening with the dish, the taste was good, it was freshly cooked. It was just a little overwhelming for me as a " Big Seafood " eater, I like to taste all the flavors of the different fish in a dish, this dish the flavors all ran together and drowned out rhe taste for me. However, I am absolutely in live with their Orange Drink, super taste not too sweet very palate cleaning. Their Salsa is some of the best I've had outside of San Diego, California. The other restaurants here in Nashville and the surrounding area gives you that soupy crap they call Salsa. Also I want to give them props for their Pico de Galio, as well it is tasty with a little bit of a kick. Overall a great place, and as an Afro-American diner, I enjoyed myself a great deal, can't speak a word of Spanish but the atmosphere was electric and full of positive culture vibes Loved It, will cone back again for sure, but will have a different dish, everything i saw coming by my table looked amazing, lot's to try, Bon Appe'tit

Food is amazing! We loved the atmosphere. We ordered a tray with crab legs and shrimp, it was enough for 4 of us!

Great customer service. Big portions yet was a search & find for the most properly cooked seafood. Paella had too many soggy elements to enjoy. The shrimp, bread & drinks were good.

Pictures are worth a thousand words. Please see my picture where you can see the unpleasant surprise I found in my meal from this restaurant. Mind you I did NOT ask for extra protein in my meal...

How bad could a restaurant be with this size blue crab on the wall?

Note that the menu only offers beef noodle soups. If you don't eat beef, then you'll have to order a different dish - stir fried noodles or big plate chicken. This place is not vegetarian-friendly. FYI It says xiao long bao on the menu in both english and chinese, but it's not XLB. It's a steamed bun with meat filling (bao zi), so don't expect a soup dumpling. The nearly-lost art of hand pulled noodles is an experience unlike any other. This restaurant specializes in an authentic Chinese beef noodle soup with custom levels of chili oil added to the spicy level of your liking. The hand pulled noodle options include varying thicknesses of round and flat shapes. The dough is smooth and bouncy, pulled with perfectly consistent thickness, and then cut and cooked for the perfect slurp and bite. Service is kind and attentive. The last time we went we opted to order an orange chicken entree to go in order to pack lunches for the next day, and they waited until the end of the meal before bringing it out, packaged for transporting home. The extra care and consideration was thoughtful. If you're craving Asian comfort food or are looking for clear broth with noodles, don't skip over this spot in the popular Nippers Corner!

She was being rude on top of it all. Sounds like they were messing up people's orders as I heard another customer put on speaker with the same girl at the front. She didn't check customer receipts for some people ahead so I'm assuming she messed up the orders. The seafood boil was hot, flavorful, and generously portioned. The snow crab legs were meaty and sweet, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the corn and potatoes were soaked in rich, buttery seasoning. The raw oysters were fresh, cold, and clean -- a great contrast to the bold flavors of the boil. That said, they did seem a bit overwhelmed during our visit. Service was slower than expected, and we needed to ask for assistance more than once. However, it was clear they were working hard and doing their best during a very busy time, not ignoring customers or being careless. Despite the wait, the food more than made up for it. I visited with my parents during their last trip to town since the restaurant happened to be nearby. Upon walking in, the decor felt a little confusing. The menu clearly presents the restaurant as a grill, but the interior still seemed heavily influenced by what may have previously been an Asian restaurant space. The renovation didn't feel entirely cohesive, which made the atmosphere a bit disjointed. That said, the staff was very friendly, and we were seated quickly. Throughout the meal, however, there seemed to be an underlying sense of stress among the staff that was noticeable despite their efforts to remain professional and attentive. It created a slightly uncomfortable atmosphere at times. For dinner, we ordered the filet with broccoli and French fries, while another guest ordered a salad. Unfortunately, the salad had to be sent back because it arrived with blue cheese despite a requested omission due to an allergy. Thankfully, the issue was corrected. The filet itself was cooked to the requested temperature, and overall the food was fine, but nothing particularly stood out as memorable. Everything was acceptable, though not especially remarkable. Overall, Firebird Grill may work well for larger groups or families looking for a convenient, casual meal, but with so many standout restaurants in Nashville, it's probably not a place I'd personally revisit.
