They weren't so bad over here but not the best either; we got a couple of different dishes but my favorite was definitely the aguachiles even though i found a LONG light brown hair in it (i have short hair) and still got charged for it even though we told our server. I mean, i didn't expect anything for free but that's just very unsanitary but i was really enjoying them so i just pulled it out and kept eating, LOL! The agua de piña was good & very fresh. My wife and I love seafood and have been looking for something fresh and worth the money. Most times we have been dissapointed....not this time! This place rocks! The atmosphere when we went was on point, fun, and the live Mariachi Band completed the feel. The service was top notch, the drinks were authentic and fresh. The staff was VERY friendly. This was our first time and us poor Americans had no idea how to navigate the plethora of menu options. They brought someone over to answer our questions and he was super helpful. The place was clean and clearly a crowd favorite amongst the latinx community. They had live music which was a bit loud but had a vibe of its own. The menu was unique and the food was pretty good! We celebrated a birthday here and it was a great time with plenty of food! If you're looking for an array of seafood platters, they have it covered. The service was great once we were seated. The energy was happy and loud with the mariachi band playing and people dancing by their tables. The low rating would be for the never ending wait at the host stand for those who were wanting to eat here. Thankfully we made the cut but it was unfortunate to feel like I had to watch people standing waiting and eventually leaving . The ceviche was fresh and very tasty. We started out w their free appetizer which was this amazing fish mixture eaten w tostadas. Oh my lord. I could've filled up on that alone! It's soooo good! Then we had a zone fresh oysters w lime... a dash of hot sauce and salt, holy!!! So good!! We ended up sharing a platter as a group for the entire table of the best crab legs, prawns, and fresh shrimp. The sauce this was all on top of is just delicious! We had 4 grown hard working men at the table and myself and one of these platters was even too much for all of us. See the picture! You can not and will not go wrong here. It's so good!! Recommended by friends. We had a hard time ordering because the menu doesn't describe the dishes - it's pictures with prices. When we asked them what was in it, they didn't really know. We wanted to get the big tray so we could try everything, but we couldn't tell by the picture what all was in it. There was stuffed lobster & fried fish with a whole bunch of bland shrimp. I wanted the fish it was nice and crispy- could've been seasoned a little more. It wasn't a bad deal for $135. (Im mad I accidentally deleted the pictures) The ceviche was ok. The drinks were weak. Now, we loved the tilapia stuffed with crab l, shrimp & mushrooms topped with cheese. The crazy part is that their bread & rice was very flavorful we loved that too. A very pleasant experience, the food was very bountiful and plentiful. Had the Stuffed Tilapia with Crab and Shrimp a little too much for me. Couldn't really get my taste around the food so many thing's happening with the dish, the taste was good, it was freshly cooked. It was just a little overwhelming for me as a " Big Seafood " eater, I like to taste all the flavors of the different fish in a dish, this dish the flavors all ran together and drowned out rhe taste for me. However, I am absolutely in live with their Orange Drink, super taste not too sweet very palate cleaning. Their Salsa is some of the best I've had outside of San Diego, California. The other restaurants here in Nashville and the surrounding area gives you that soupy crap they call Salsa. Also I want to give them props for their Pico de Galio, as well it is tasty with a little bit of a kick. Amazing food, and a huge selection to choose from, ranging from tacos/fajitas to more exotic dishes. A unique returantant. If you do not like seafood, DO NOT GO HERE! The basics: service is very attentive and our waitress was able to communicate with us. Bathrooms clean (seafood restaurants need cleanliness). Portions are enormous. Partner had paella which we brought home for two more meals. I had the Chapuzon Nayarit (listed as appetizer). Ate as entree and took home the uneaten portion and made shrimp tacos for one meal and grilled octopus ramen for a second meal. $55 was a lot for one dinner but real cost was $9 each for six meals, a seafood bargain. I would leave 6 stars but the only challenge was the menu. Bright images of everything in living color. Generally described in english and spanish. Took a awhile to get through it. Prices are a challenge in an inflationary environment when you are putting stickers on the menu prices because they are changing so fast you cannot afford to reissue the very expensive color and laminated menus. Can not blame Putin for that one. Did I say the portions are enormous. Days later I am still stuffed. Lastly, the Chapuzon Nayarit was limited to only fresh ingredients. The tomatoes, cucumbers and onions were all fresh and crisp. The shrimp we properly cooked and each one was hand cleaned. The octopus was grilled, cubed and tender as could be. The house special sauce required many glasses of ice water which our waitress kept filled. The house margaritas were plentiful and came in heavy glass mugs. Food was good here. When you first get in, you're served with fish ceviche which was very yummy. Ordered the raw oysters for appetizer and a beef quesadilla for entree. We had seafood for lunch but wanted to try this place for dinner or else we would've ordered more. Service was okay, our waitress wasn't willing to listen to our needs. I've been here twice.... once when it first opened, and again today. The Mexican restaurant that used to be there served standard Mexican cuisine, but this place is something wonderful and new. You won't find your regular Mexican entrees here because this is strictly a seafood restaurant. Both times I had the fried tilapia which is a whole deep fried fish with the head, tail, and everything in between. This is a delicious entree and I would definitely get it again. Just looking around at the packed house I could see several entrees I'd like to try. My wife enjoyed her entrees as well. This place is just different because this is now a single wide open dining layout with a bar to the side. Every time I drive by here this place looks busy, and they had a sizable Hispanic crowd each time we were there. The decor is simple with unique lighting and ocean/seafood murals, paintings, and maritime items throughout the restaurant. They serve some pretty impressive drinks that I haven't seen before, like a bottle of Corona upside down in a Margarita. They also have family seafood platters that many people were actually ordering. The appetizers are great, and I had no complaints about how the food was prepared and served. This is a very friendly place with most of the staff and customers speaking Spanish, and you could almost be fooled into thinking you were on vacation in Mexico. The second time we were there a mariachi band started playing at the table next to us. It was an awesome unique experience for us! Worst Mexican food I've ever tasted... It was so bland. The only thing good was the horchata. I'm so disappointed because I waited over one hour and half for BELOW average food. The beans I received were cold so I sent it back. When I received my beans again.. they were even COLDER!!!! How is that possible? It is an overhyped place in Nashville. The service is even terrible.
