I wouldn't begin to be able to say enough good things about this supermarket and restaurant. They're quick serve fresh authentic Mexican cuisine is by far some of the best I've ever had. Just the selection alone will knock your socks off. I was able to get some Beria tacos and some empanadas along with some chucked Mexican street corn and of course a bottled Coke. You could come to this place every day for a month and still not have tried everything on the menu. Last week, I decided to pick up dinner for my father and I. He said he was craving Mexican food, so I headed over to Acapulco Tropical on 41. This is a Latin grocery store that also has a nice hot line serving all kinds of food. We decided to have a carne asada burrito and birria tacos. We got them to go. Once home, we got into them and we were very happy with our selections. The steak burrito was huge and full of meat, rice, and beans. The flavor was quite good. The birria was the real highlight. The flavor was exceptional. The broth was perfect that they served it with. If I had one small complaint about the birria, it was a bit stringy, but it was so flavorful it didn't matter. We got chicken croquettas and were very disappointed. They were all busted open and extremely greasy. Usually the food is all delicious but very disappointed with the empanadas and the Cuban sandwiches. The Cubans barely had any meat in them. Hopefully today was just a bad day because we normally enjoy the food. read more

This place is phenomenal...they have there grocery store/supermarket with a buffet style kitchen/mini restaurant inside displaying all there variety of food, everything I've had from this place taste so fresh and delicious ..so many different options to choose from and the prices are very affordable. They also have serve ice cream and delicious fresh agua frescas-Fresh Mexican flavored waters. Normally a plate would come with rice & beans tortillas & salsa I substituted my rice & beans with the cactus salad. So authentic & delicious. This plate could feed atleast 3 people & I payed under $10. Will definitely go back to this place. read more

I like shopping at Acapulco Tropical. They have a good selection of foods and fresh produce. And I was able to get exactly what I needed from their butcher. They stock a large variety of Latin American products not found in the average grocery store. And everyone has been pleasant and helpful to an obvious gringo. I appreciate this a lot. read more

The hot food bar is amazing I wouldn't call the hot food "cheap," but I would say it is reasonably priced for what you get. Yea they need to work on getting your order right. I got takeout tacos from here and it wasn't until I got home that I see they got my order wrong and I'm missing three tacos. Don't get me wrong it's good food I'm just not a fan of missing things I paid for. Also I asked for the vegetables on the side but got none at all. read more

Best local Latin market in town, they have other locations and they're all equally great. I can find most of the main spices and ingredients I need for all my recipes. They make their own tortillas and they keep fresh daily. Theres a small hot food kitchen in the back for a quick order to sit and eat. I love this place! I first read about it in the Bradenton Herald and decided to visit. AT exceeded my expectations! Staff is very helpful and friendly. Produce is fresh and reasonably priced. All sorts of cheeses, fresh meats and seafood. Their homemade tortilla chips are out of this world and well as the salsas. They bake fresh breads and pastries daily, but the best part is the prepared food! You can eat in as well as take out and it's AMAZING! This place is a must try! read more
