    Okay, Yelp.....what's up with removing reviews?? This is the 4th of my recent reviews that went…read more*poof*...let's get on that. (business owners have mentioned this to me as well!) Anyway, let's focus on the wonderful Evergreen Eye Care. Dr. Zamberlan and her staff are consummate professionals. I haven't had such a modern, comprehensive exam in a long time. The staff are so welcoming, from making my appointment to my first visit. Unlike a lot of medical offices, the waiting room is not crowded and Dr. Z. takes her time sharing her knowledge with her patients. I truly felt valued and am so happy to have found my "forever" eye care practice. Sandy was the assistant at my visit...so friendly and knowledgeable. Nicole helped me select 2 frames (which are very reasonably priced) plus new reading lenses and offered me their current discounts. They have such a nice selection and I've never chosen glasses so quickly! I cannot think of any suggestions to make other than to ask that you please continue to do what you are doing. Evergreen Eye Care is awesome. *Update: I referred my hub to EEC and asked him about his experience. He said, "I loved it!!" He went on to share how complete his exam was and all the great suggestions Dr. Z. offered. In this era of impersonal, conveyer-belt medicine, Evergreen is the antithesis. We are fans for life!

Everything from the friendliness and professionalism of the…read moreentire staff, to the cleanliness and modern atmosphere, to the amazing technology is the best I've ever experienced. The waiting room features a hot and cold water dispenser, as well as a Keurig coffeemaker with a huge variety of flavors. Chairs are plush and comfortable. I was particularly impressed with the technology in the pre-exam area. There are four machines right in a row. The first is an interactive test for peripheral vision / size of field of view. The second is an automatic test to establish one's baseline eyeglasses prescription, featuring a barn at the end of street on a grassy field to look at as opposed to others I've experienced that have nothing or a blurry circle. The third is an "air puff" glaucoma tester, and the fourth is one that takes photos of one's eyes. The wait to see the eye doctor was very short, and Dr. Hu was extremely professional, polite, and helpful. She was the first eye doctor who was ever able to answer my questions about how to determine which of two lens choices to pick. Here is the conversation: "Which is clearer, 1, or 2"? I said that "1 may look a bit sharper, but the 'O' looks like a square where it looks round on '2'". Her advice to choose the one that is less distorted seems to have made all the difference in the world. The prescription I got was far and away the easiest to adjust to I've ever experienced. They literally required no adjustment period at all. It was instantly perfect. I was also very happy that this exam, despite it having been my first exam in over a decade, didn't require my eyes to be dilated. I'm not sure exactly why this is, but I'm not complaining. If you're a new patient, don't get discouraged by the long wait time before you can get in. The reason that they're booked solid for a few months out is because they are great, and waiting is definitely worth it.

    Incompetence at every level and that is putting it nicely…read more The doctor (Dr Hardesty) wanted to change my contact lens that I have worn for a very long time. He gave me "weekly" contacts to try. I came back a week later after trying them out and agreed they would work for me. He gave me my prescription and sent me on my way. I went to fill the prescription just to find out he gave me a prescription for daily lenses. We had a conversation at my appointment about how I did not want daily lenses for several reasons. I called the office on 6/17 and left a message stating that I was prescribed the wrong contact lenses. Never got a call back, called again on 6/22 and was told the doctor was out of the country for 2 weeks but his notes state he gave me a daily lens to trial and that is the lens in the prescription. He gave me a daily lens and told me to put that in my eye everyday for a week??? I'm going to hope and pray he did not do that and just made a clerical error in his notes. I was assured he would fix it as soon as he returned and I would get a call back on July 3rd when he returned to the office. Well July 9th came around with no call, no email or any kind of communication about my prescription so I again reached out. I left a message as even though it was during office hours no one answered the phone. Art called me back and I was assured a new prescription would be emailed to me that day - I confirmed I wanted it to be emailed to me and confirmed my email address with him. That afternoon I got a voicemail asking if I wanted to pick up the prescription or have it emailed to me. OK more of my time wasted....I called back and again told them I wanted it emailed to me and again confirmed my email with another person. The following day I still did not have an prescription. So we are now 3 full weeks from when I notified them I was given the wrong prescription and I still did not have a prescription in hand so I reach out to them again. I email them this time and request them to respond to the email with the prescription. If they are reading the email and the prescription is indeed ready it can't be that hard to email it back right? Finally I get an email stating they had sent it to the WRONG EMAIL. They had my email in my file, had successfully communicated with me via email about my appointment and I verbally confirmed it with 2 different people within hours of each other and still they got it wrong. It goes without saying I will not be going back nor would I recommend anyone else go to this office.

Last time Karen was just as helpful when picking out specific glasses for my tbi condition so I appreciate Karen and her team very much.

    I have be seeing Dr Waldo for about 5 years. Every pair of glasses I got even after a cataract…read moresurgery didn't work. I complained each time, told to keep wearing them.. When I first went to see him I had a bleed behind my optic nerve. Yes he watched it but last year decided I should be seen by a Retina Specialist. He said he sent a refer to a Dr on the east side of town that was in Aug...I saw him in Nov and said I never got a call about my eye. After a couple of days they said the fax machine wasn't working and they would fix it and get the referal sent. I ended up finding my own Specialist, made my own appointment and informed his office where to send my info. Long story short, I now have wet macular degeneration and due to the scar tissue that was building up in my eye for some time I won't get any of the central vision I lost back. I have to get monthly injections in my eye. Dr Waldo is a nice guy however if you need more care then getting glasses maybe look elsewhere. I asked my eye specialist if this scaring and damage was due to the bleed I had in my eye for all these years. He nodded slightly and said we just have to move forward. Sigh I am returning to my first Ophthalmologist who is more qualified to care for my eyes long term.
