Spoke directly to Amanda, the owner who was delightful, I told her I had booked into an available time for full facial IPL laser and plan to book another day for face and neck as there was no availability, she said if I wanted she would be happy to do it all at my appt as I was the last appt of the day! I showed up 15 min early and completed paperwork and a consult w/ Amanda who reviewed my skin, expectations and post treatment care. Her office and treatment rooms were beautiful and clean, her equipment also spotless and well organized. She completed the treatment and it was obvious she knew her stuff and her equipment well. I paid a 300$ deposit to Cara…read moreWest. had to wait over two months to see a drawing, with little to no communication on what she was planning. tried to message her about design without any kind of response on what she had planned. two days before I'm supposed to get the tattoo I go see the design and it's basically thors hammer. I never once said I wanted thors hammer and she didn't tell me that's what she was planning. After this, she refused to work with me on changing the design and when I was told I wouldn't get my 300$ back I suggested she tattoo a symbol that she didn't have to draw she could easily trace. She refused and said i needed to find a new artist. That's when it was no longer a deposit and became theft. I understand that the deposit is there to protect the artist but when there is no communication on design and not willing to work with me at all on changing it. then when I suggest she tattoos something she didn't have to draw and she tells me to kick rock EDIT: I truly wish the situation had not escalated the way it did. However a very polite and understanding manager to the shop has contacted me and informed me that she has been away and that I will receive my money back. Since then the money has been returned to me. Again it was never my wish to upset anyone just to inform people of my experience.

This is a barber shop that has bought some nail equipment but does not have the training, equipment, or skill to advertise nail services. They are clearly nice people who are well-intentioned, but past reviews are from before a clear ownership change and do not reflect current state. We requested two gel main/pedis. They started on the pedicure, and after one hour no nail polish at all had been used. They had only removed one of our previous gel polish and the other hadn't even had nails trimmed (and had no previous polish on). Knowing we didn't have much time left, we asked them to abandon our feet and begin on at least one of our manicures. Unfortunately, the manicure ended up being awful! The equipment was shoddy and the nail polish was very poor quality. Previous nail colour was still visible as it wasn't fully removed, the gel was clumpy/bubbled, and one nail was clipped on the skin and bled. Picture included. By the time we finished 2.5 hours later, we were incredibly frustrated. Then, they charged us $160. 30% more than we pay at a high quality salon in Vancouver, for literally no services being done to any respectable degree. $50 each for two pedicures that didn't end up having any polish applied (and my nails weren't even cut) and $55 for a manicure that no nail salon should ever charge for. They were kind people, but are offering services they cannot follow through on. If they had been honest, we would have saved our time and money. Learn from us!
