I've been going to Access Health center for years, and I would highly recommend Dr. Pina to anyone! I have spinal stenosis and a bulging disc which causes me a lot of back pain, however, with physical therapy at access health center and treatment by dr. Pina, my flare ups are rare. They are knowledgeable and attentive to the human body and letting you know what you need to do to better your beautiful canvas. I've had massages from Jillian and Alex both exceptional and work out the stubborn knots in my shoulder and back. Dr. Hong is no longer there. She has moved to 21127 Hawthorne Blvd next to El Burrito Jr. 310-316-0066. I certainly have nothing but great things to write about Dr. Hong at Access Health Center! I play a lot of racket sports and one day, I pulled my lower back. I drive past this clinic almost every day so I thought I would give them a try. Dr. Carol Hong was the one who treated me and let me tell you, she gave me one of the best chiropractic adjustments EVER!! (I asked someone in the waiting room to request the BEST doctor there and she said Dr. Hong is it). She is small, but she is highly skilled. (She is both an acupuncturist and a chiropractor). All the tension building up inside was all relieved by her treatments. She was very thorough and hit the right spots. She didn't just crack me and push me out the door like other chiropractors that I have been to. She spent time and warmed me up, massaged me, adjusted me and then stretched me!! I feel like a new person!! Just what I needed for my next match. Not only is she a great doctor, but also very knowledgeable, happy, and personable. It is obvious that she loves what she does. Now, I am going to her for acupuncture treatment! One more thing, she takes PPO and my insurance pays for everything! Bonus! Highly recommended. You'll feel great! read more

This place is awesome. I've had 7 different massage therapists and all have never disappointed. My headaches and painful shoulders are always cured with every visit. Luckily, my insurance covers everything! I was recommended to this place by a co-worker and now 4 of us (co-workers) attend regularly! Dr. Pina is amazing. Not sure what the lady Sandra is squawking about, but this guy is great! He has now fixed my shoulder, bicep, hip and torn meniscus. I'm in the fitness industry and do lots of sports, so I tend to get myself injured. He is excellent in his craft and I highly recommend him and his kind staff. I don't know where to begin. First of all you will most likely not see Dr Pena, but one of his many associates. One in particular told me that there was no hope for my back. Let's say that it crushed me completely. Refusing to believe this, I was able to get a consult w doctor Pena after waiting several weeks. He seemed to be more caring for sure. He even gave me some hope that my back could do better through time and consistent care (wink wink $$$$).. Let's see. I hope that i do get better. I will post an update. Moving along, his space is small. Extra small. Just to get into a massage room u literally have to say excuse me to couple people as u make ur way. He has equipment handling on the walls. It seems he outgrew his space 10 yrs ago. His massage therapists are ok. However there is one that enjoys inflicting pain on the patients he massages. Not cool. Good luck and be warned. read more

I picked this place because my back and neck were killing me and it was in network....it said "massage therapy"... so i called, the receptionist said yes they have massage therapy as well as chiro... i asked how much would it be if my insurance did not cover massage therapy? she said $50 or $75 or something like that.... i thought, "ok, do-able..." mind you my back kills me all the time, i just dont like to waste time going to the doctor, but this day it was hurting A LOT... so i go... i give it two stars cuz the guy was nice enough... he asked Q's, had me lay where he basically put a massaging heating pad on the area for 15 min and said he'd be back... he cracked it for a minute or two and had me take unnecessary x-rays (i know its probably standard practice...) then i left.... where the heck was the massage therapy??? i didnt really feel any better than when i walked in... i made an appointment to come back but then cancelled cuz it really seemed like a waste of time... that was that... then i get a EOB that shows $432.00 billed and $291.00 accepted.... WTF?!?!?! i have a flexible health care account that sucks and once i reach the max, which is a lil more than that amount, that means i have to start paying out of pocket.... my point is... to this place and all other health care places and the health care system in the U.S.in general........ YOU SUCK.... you charged a ridiculous amount and i didnt really benefit from going, i felt the same when i left, and then the crappy PPO actually accepts these bills and pays for a ridiculous amount and healthcare in the US just sucks! read more

I've tried all five massage therapists; all good, all a little different depending on what you're looking for. Dr. Pina is awesome. Takes a lot of time with you. Always feel better when leaving. Place is clean, quiet, peaceful, tries to be zen. Receptionists always attentive. I'm hooked. I've been to about 10 different chiropractors over time including the one at Burke Williams, and I've finally found a place to KEEP. read more

Dr. Pina rocks! One look at my shoulders and he diagnosed me as a computer hugger. All the stress of work melts away. It's a one stop shop for acupuncture, chiro and therapy massage. The massage hurts so good!!! Haven't had to go the spa in eons. The best part of it is that my insurance PPO covers it all. He's so popular that you have to make an appointment ahead of time, which is why I waited to post my review until I was almost done with my therapy. Nothing personal but it's all about me first.
