The key for my Sonata has a really bad design. The soft rubber covering the unlock button fell off a few days ago. I reached out to a few places via Yelp to get a quote. Access wasn't the first to respond, but they were the first to let me know they could help quickly. They had my key in stock. I went from a bad key to a new cut and programmed key in less than an hour - and that includes drive time to their store. I now have an OEM key and I paid less than half what the Hyundai dealership wanted to charge. I can't recommend Access enough. They're now my go-to. read more

I will leave a fair review for the job overall. First off I was quoted 2 keys programmed and made at the price of 150 , obviously they like giving you all these other fees at the end without telling you why until they've already done the work. I ended up paying $100 dollars more then I was quoted. Not only that , I only received one working key for the ignition and one "tester key" meaning that tester key will only open my car doors. If I knew I wasn't gonna get 2 keys for my car I wouldn't have gone for the " special deal". So obviously, I'm left below satisfied with the job that they did regarding my work order. Beware of "special deals". There are no special deals when it comes to this business. Make sure to speak to the technician before you let him do work cause if not they'll immediately take advantage of what they're doing. read more

All information below is accurate. They did however follow up with me on this review, and that holds some weight to me. I have increased them from 1 to 2 stars. It is with sadness I feel inclined to post this review. Today my 2 year old locked my wife out of the house while I was away. My sister called Access Key for service and because there was a toddler locked in the house we told them we needed them soon, to which they replied, 15-20 minutes. After 35 minutes they arrived. 15 minutes the tech/locksmith worked to open the front door(all recorded on our ring door bell) he then asked my wife to call OUR neighbors for tools as he didn't have the tools he needed to unlock the door. Finally my 2 year old unlocked the door. The tech did not charge my wife for unlocking the door(great because he came up short of completing that mission). We were however charged for the service call. I understand the company has to make money. I run a few businesses myself. It is however sad that the company told us 15-20 minutes and arrived in nearly twice that time. That makes a total of two missions failed in one hour, and I might also add these are your two primary missions as a locksmith. Access Key, please increase your efficiency. Their inexperienced technician "R.E.", was sent out to my location to reprogram an "Original Key" to my vehicle. I noticed he was having a difficult time reprogramming the key and so he called his supervisor which was very concerning. I questioned his experience and he replied that he had a few months of experience. I mentioned to the technician that this was the original key and there shouldn't be a problem. However, I spoke to Brandon, who apparently is their office manager he was flat out rude and awful. I was letting him know that their technician was unable to reprogram my original key and I had to call another locksmith to reprogram the same original key that technician couldn't. He kept admitting to me that their technician was experienced and I will not be getting a refund. As someone who works in customer service I was appalled, I was simply looking to get my refund back. But rather I was treated with absolute disrespect, and I was disappointed how this situation was handled. I have reached out to the Better Business Bureau & federal trade. read more

UPDATED! READ THIS BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT CALLING THESE JAMOKES!!! The owner of this business, Sam, wrote me and didn't ask me how to fix the problem I had. He wrote me and ACCUSED me of working for another locksmith and claimed I used someone else. I have screen shots of our conversation so you can read everything this joker said to me. I told him I'd pull up my phone records to prove to him I called him and used his place. In the meantime he changed the number they have listed on Yelp so it wouldn't match with my phone records. HOWEVER they didn't change it on google and I have a screenshot of that. Please look in the photos and see all this. My tech never gave me a receipt after I paid cash, but I have no interest in calling somewhere 3 times in the span of an hour and leaving a fake Yelp review. Here's my initial review as well: DON'T USE!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I would have read Sarah's review since it's the most recent, instead of just looking at the 4 star rating. I accidentally locked my keys inside my running car with a cart full of groceries still in the cart. I also had my infant baby with me, luckily she was not in the car. I called and asked if they unlocked cars, they said yes and they said they could be there in 15-30 minutes. I'm totally cool with that. The business was less than 2 miles away from where I was. I also mentioned I had my baby with me and my groceries outside. Luckily for me it was only 85 instead of 100 out like normal. That was my only saving grace... I called at 2:05pm.... I then called back at 3:05pm and they supposedly radioed the tech and informed me he was turning onto the street where I was... 10 minutes later the tech called my cell phone and told me he was turning onto the street I was on. So it took an hour and fifteen minutes of me standing in a parking lot WITH A BABY for these yokels to arrive. I paid cash, still tipped $15 on a $45 bill, and then called back to talk to a manager about my spoiled groceries. I was shuffled around on hold for 20 minutes until someone just took my number and said I'd receive a call back. It's now Friday, the event happened Monday, and I never heard anything from anyone. They also bent the door on my car and didn't bother fixing it. Hopefully this doesn't sound too negative, I don't wanna be like that but this place just didn't communicate anything to me or let me know that they were going to be late. Older truck 2013 had original remote key. It started separating when I turned on the ignition. Didn't want to be left stranded. Dealer wanted 100 more than Access key. Went there got it programed with remote looks just like and more importantly works just like original. read more

I was stranded in San Antonio after the tumblers in my civic ignition decided they didn't want to work anymore. I had to pull out my ignition assembly and remove the worn out tumblers. I took the assembly to access key to get new tumblers installed instead of paying Honda $600 for a new ignition assembly and probably another $200 for a new key and get it programmed. They got the new tumblers in and reassembled for a reasonable $75 and got it done in an hour. All the staff are friendly and made me feel valued as a customer. I've had bad experiences with other locksmiths who jerk you around knowing you're at their mercy. Now I'm able to get back home. Thanks guys! read more

Don't even bother calling this company they are a ripoff. First: false advertisement, their add says they charge $10.00 for the service and off course they don't. they charged my husband $69.00. Second: they said it would take them 30 minutes to get there instead the guy showed up after 1 hr. and if you're thinking that is not bad, think again, it is if your motor is running, your work cell is in the truck and you work vehicle is used for delivering medical supplies like oxygen. Overall, I think this company takes advantage of the situation the customers are in. read more

Went in to see why my key fobs weren't working. They said the key fobs were putting out a signal and may need re-programmed. They hooked up their machine to re-program the fobs. They spent less than 5 minutes trying to fix it and said it wouldn't work. Charged me $25 for not fixing the problem. When I asked why they said "well we hooked up our machine" Toyota dealer said the keys' signal are bad and not putting out a working signal and reprogramming them isn't the issue. Toyota charged me $0. I have used Access Key before for other things but will look elsewhere from now on. $25 for incorrectly diagnosing the problem and charging me for 5 minutes of work while not fixing the issue is poor customer service. I would like a hassle free refund. read more

I accidentally locked my keys in the trunk of my car while putting my bags in my car. I've always had spare keys but not this time. I grabbed the yellow pages that I never use and found this place. Talk about good advertising. Whole page advertising , 24 hour service and with a picture of a women locked out her car plus a BBB association label. I called and they had a mobile service on my side of town that was doing another job. The guy over the phone was nice and said it would be 30 minutes till he got to me. The fee was $45.00 cash or $49.95 credit. The guy arrived exactly in 30 minutes. I was shocked. It took him less then 10 minutes to get into my car. Even more shocked what he used. It didn't hurt my car or leave any evidence it was pried open. He was a professional. This definitely was not His first rodeo. I was just glad I could do the rest of errands for the day. It turned out to be a really good day thanks to this company. They even can make spare keys for your car. That's something I need to look into. read more

Had an issue where my key wouldn't turn in the ignition. So my car was stuck in the grocery store parking lot. Called the dealer who wanted me to have it towed to them, wait a few days for the parts to come in, and cough up $400-600 depending on what the exact problem was. Called Access and they knew what was I talking about right away. Made an appointment to meet to meet someone at my car, Jesse was not only early, but fixed it super fast and was able to repair my current parts, rather than having to buy new ones. Whole thing cost less than $200 and only took about 30 minutes. Will definitely use their service again if I'm ever in need. read more

The owner of this company (Sam) is an EXTREMELY rude individual!! I had a key made for my car that after an hour caused my car to no longer start. I had to have my car towed to a local dealership who eventually told me that the key that was made caused an error in my ECM. Because of this my car no longer started and I had to have my cars computer reprogrammed and had to have a new key made by the dealership. I paid $250.00 dollars for a key that ended up causing more problems and which eventually cost me an additional $250.00 to fix. I called Sam to explain the situation and he immediately got defensive and was extremely rude. He kept telling me how busy he was (probably on the phone with other unhappy customers) and that they have never had an issue with keys before however according to other reviews I've read, they have!! I asked for a refund however he kept insisting I email him the receipts. I had no problem doing that since the dealership wrote specifically that the key caused the problem. I asked him about how long it would take for him to respond to my email inquiry and he again got super defensive and rude. I understand that mistakes happen but he kept insisting that "we've never had an issue before". I have every intention to take him and his company to small claims court and request a full refund plus the amount I paid to have my car fixed. Sam is an extremely rude individual who really needs to work on his customer service. I DO NOT and WILL NOT recommend this company to anyone!!! Sam, this is NOT how you do business. read more

I called Access after a bad experience withExpress Local Service. I explained my experience and asked them if they would be able to key and program a transponder key for my vehicle since I lost the master key. The gentlemen on the phone explained they could and described the process to me. I had them come out the next day. Although there was a disconnect with the appointment time which result in the technician being 1-1.5 hours late, he was very polite, professional and apologetic. We are all human; it would be incredibly unfair to trash them over something like this. Ultimately, Access Key & Security delivered, much unlike the above mentioned company who took my $ and left me without an operable key. I recommend Access and will utilize them for future services. read more

The locksmith that helped me with my work order was Vincent Smith and I can 100% recommend him for any job you want done. Not only is he skilled, he is dedicated and will do the task start to finish, he knows how to use all tools, he is knowledgeable about the best and efficient way to do a job and is thorough with recommendations for an action plan on future follow up concerns. You can tell he has done his research as a locksmith because you can see it in his work ethic. He is very courteous, professional and dare I say it handsome, too! Don't use this company, they're crooks. First all had a key made with this company for a 2012 Honda Civic and almost 1 month later it stopped working. I called and spoke to the owner and tell him it might be a bad key since the car didn't start. He sends his tech to me to try to take care of the issue. I was told that the key might have been damaged or dropped in water, but the key had no sign on damage. The tech then makes another key and programs it and it works perfect. I was told by Sam there was a $85.00 charge but I told him it was a faulty key and he told me I was wrong. A key made 1 month ago should that was never dropped or damaged should still work and he was putting the blame on me. He then got very upset that I told him that it was a faulty key but he didn't want to listen and wanted me to pay. He got very unprofessional and irate. I will never use this company again. Dissapointing their locksmith Sam was unable to make a key for my car. I had to use another company.

I was locked out of my cannon big boy gun safe, so I needed to find a Lock Smith to drill into the safe. I found Access Key & Security on line and they had 4 stars so I gave them a call. I ended up talking to their safe guy Dave and we ended up setting up a time of 11:00 the following day. So i arranged for my oldest son to wake up early (Diesel Mechanic that works nights) so he could meet up with Dave. My son calls me at 11:20 am and tells me they have not showed up yet. I then proceeded to call Access Key to find out what was going on, I asked for Dave and he was there and he said do to Technical Difficulty (short on Technicians) we will not make it out today. I asked him, when were you going to tell me that? I had my son wake up early to meet you at 11:00, I guess he didn't want to deal with me questioning him so he asked me if he could call me back on this matter and I said OK, but he never called me back. The next day I called back and told the guy that picked up the phone what had happened and he said he was going to have SAM, Dave's manager, call me on this matter, Guess What, He Never Called. So morale of the story, I will not have anything to do with Access Key & Security and I will make sure I tell all of my military friends and family the story and they will feel the same. read more
