We are writing to ecstatically recommend and review the Multi-Lift and Speedy Bar. Changed our world and put us back on the road! Prior to finding Access, we were segregated to travelling with Dori and her wheelchair in our conversion van OR leaving Dori behind if we needed to transport livestock in the truck and trailer. Speedy Bar changed all that and allowed us to travel the country for alpaca shows! Speedy-Bar worked perfectly for our Ford F250 4WD and fits perfectly on the passenger door hinge. The Multi-Lift arrived engineered and configured precisely to fit the angles needed to lift Dori safety from chair to truck seat. I was concerned for Dori's safety lifting to the height of the 4WD vehicle and intimidated by the sling straps, but the team provided excellent training on sling/lift configuration. She was secure from the start, and the sling is well designed to wrap around her trunk and under her legs. The general purpose sling is padded well enough to be comfortable for her to sit in for all-day cross-country travel. Having just returned from a two-week, cross-country road trip (~5000 miles), we extensively used the Multi-Lift all day, every day across a range of temperatures and conditions (17F to 97F, snow, rain, etc) with no change in performance of the lift and battery. Tech support has also been amazing, with Tom's team being accessible for any questions or support via email, phone, or text. They kept us updated weekly as to estimated manufacturing and delivery timelines and consistently overachieved. Beyond the logistics, we end with the emotional benefit of this engineering marvel. Access Unlimited ~ They stand behind their name. I was in a hospital bed in our living room for two and a half years. We had a full body lift from another company that was bulky and not easy to move me around. My Mom had been taken to the hospital by ambulance and that was the last time I was able to see her. The lift couldn't get me in our truck so I was unable to visit her; she passed a few weeks later. One night my husband was looking online for something, anything that could get me in our truck or even looking into a wheelchair van. Another vehicle was not something we could afford. With living in the rural mountains of Tennessee, we had to keep our truck, so we couldn't trade that in. He came across Unlimited Access and, as he always does, researched the multi lift. It was made specifically for our vehicle, and the sling was made to my size. It has four pieces and is set right up in the passenger door frame. It lifts me up from my wheelchair into the truck. That had enabled me to safely and comfortably get in our vehicle to get to medical appointments. I was getting a little stronger and wanted to be able to sleep back in our bedroom. The lift we were using inside was too bulky and wouldn't fit through our narrow doorway. Ken did some more research through Unlimited Access and found that the multi lift for the truck can be used on a base inside the house. When we got it was able to fit through our bedroom door. On Mother's Day 2024, I was finally able to sleep in our bedroom in our bed. No more hospital bed in the living room! This lift has given me my life. I will never have the life I once had before this horrible disease destroyed my muscles, but it is allowing me to live a better life than laying in a hospital bed. We have been able to go on a trip to visit family and the lift comes apart to fit in the truck, and easier to carry pieces or to put in a travel bag. We purchased the bathing sling for it. I am still unable to use the lift at home due to the way our bathroom shower is set up, but I use it when we travel. We are preparing for our third trip back to see family in a few weeks and that is one of the first thing to get put in the truck. The lift part stays behind the passenger seat. Because of this specific lift, I was able to get back on my zero-turn mower and mow the front part of our yard again. It takes some maneuvering, but Ken figured out what we needed to do and he takes the time to get it set up for me to mow. There is so much positive that has happened because of Access Unlimited, I owe so much to them. We had to take video training to use both lifts. We had a problem with a piece of the lift that was bent, they sent us a new part and paid for the postage to return the old one. There was a wire that somehow got damaged. Ken called and sent them pictures of it, they sent a replacement part that he was able to put on and again, they covered the postage to send it back to them. We use it so much that we purchased a second battery, so the lift was always ready if we were going to go somewhere. I am doing better than I was a year ago, so much of my recovery has been because of using the items we purchased from Access Unlimited. All the different people we have talked with have been amazing. You can tell that they enjoy what they do and not just there for the paycheck. If ever you have a problem or a question, they are happy to be able to help answer. 7 years ago, my wife fell from a cliff and became paraplegic. In the beginning, we thought this would be the end of our travels to Baja Mexico or to our California deserts because of the difficulties getting her into our lifted off-road vehicle. This company stands head and shoulders above them all in customer service and in customizing their product just for you. The sales team takes the time to get to know your needs and custom designs a system that will fit your needs. I purchased their vehicle package first, which includes a specially made bar to mount the lift arm onto in the doorframe. I had plans to purchase two base stations but had to wait for funding. They helped me every step of the way. I now have two home stations, custom designed to fit MY home, and the vehicle package. The same arm can be used in all three places. I can now safely, and all by myself, move my husband in and out of our car (into the front passenger seat), in and out of bed, in and out of the shower, and on and off of the toilet. We got a multi-lift about a year ago and it has been great! It is easy to operate and has increased transfer safety for everyone involved. Mary Ann at Access Unlimited worked with us to select the right mounting bracket for our van. Access Unlimited also helped us get state insurance approval, and get the mount professionally installed. My mom is disabled and my wife and I care for her at our home. We brought her home when she fell ill, but our home and vehicles aren't handicap accessible. She's 100% bedridden and requires my wife and I both to transfer her out of bed and into a wheelchair and also into the cars. Transferring her is very difficult even though she's tiny. Doing home and vehicle modifications are extremely expensive, and they're permanent. Even if you spend big money for a custom handcap van, which easily range $20,000+ just for the modification without the cost of the vehicle itself. What happens when the van breaks or you need a new one? Here are a few questions to ask yourself to help understand the challenge and the solutions... Q. How do you move someone out of bed, who's disabled and can't sit up under their own strength? -- No cheating, they can't help in any way. Most affordable products require the occupant to be able to sit up under their own power, or move their arms or legs to give a little help. So for those who need more help, there's no mainstream affordable solution. Q. How do you put a person into a personal vehicle that isn't an expensive, highly customized medical van? And how do you do it when they absolutely cannot help? Q. How do you travel, take a trip, or go to a hotel? -- The patient: Their quality of life goes down because they are excluded from these types of things, because there's no reasonable solution for them. -- The caregiver: Life as a caregiver slows down, because the patient can't go on trips with the family, so nobody goes anywhere. Many of lifes options go away for the person being cared for, and the caregiver, when you lose the ability to simply move. Since we've personally obtained this equipment, we've been able to include my mother on family vacations, camping trips, and simply being able to go outside more frequently without it being a huge and risky maneuver. My husband has FL Dementia and it has progressed so that he can no longer stand. Getting him in and out of the car was impossible. I can not afford a handicap accessible van so the multi lift has been a lifesaver. The service and training has been exceptional. A wire broke on the lift and a new part was shipped to me the same day. The team checks in on me to make sure that all is going working well. I also have the wall bracket and use it to get him in and out of bed, really saves shoving a lift over the carpet. Great company and GREAT product. I am happy that I found them! Over the last 5 years we have purchased multiple pieces of equipment and mounts from Access Unlimited. The manufacture of each piece has been of the highest quality. Since each system is custom made, delivery will vary. But I never felt it was excessive. The main lift for our 2017 Ford Transit 150 medium height Van is great. It gets my wife into the passenger seat easily. That was one of her greatest desires. Sit in the passenger seat again. Not a wheelchair in the passenger position. The bonus is that the mount uses the passenger seat frame for attachment. Thus creating very few modifications to the van interior. When it comes time to sell the van it can be sold with the lift or turned back into an unmodified passenger van. In the rear of the van we have a mount and second lift. We use that for lifting wheelchairs or anything else we need help lifting into the van. We have a mount on our boat trailer that allows us to use the van lift and a special sling to place her in the boat. We have their Hoyer style lift that uses any of the lift mechanisms. The advantage to that is the lower frame/wheel height. It easily fits under most standard bed frames. We even used it at a surgery center to put her in one of their beds. It rolled right under the low frame of the bed. We have a wall installed mount and complete lift assembly for her bedroom. It is great for getting her in/out of the hospital bed several times a day. The mounts are all the same design. So any lift can be used in any location. The batteries are interchangeable. If needed you can use one of compact Lithium Ion "Jump Starter" batteries to power the lift in emergencies. Their training is thorough and done via Zoom. Their staff is readily available to answer any questions. There have been no repairs required. Yes, I am big fan of this company and their products and remain so after 5 years of using their equipment. Never hesitated to add systems. read more

Review of out multi lift Brad and Corinna Smith. First off I would like to speak of the customer service from Access Unlimited. The service provided is unparalleled in today's world. We first purchased our multi lift in 2020 and covid was raging. Living in Canada and the boarder was close d we reached out to the team at Access Unlimited and were treated like royalty. Everyone we spoke to was well informed and very professional. I had some concerns as to how my installation would be handled with shipping issues and what not in such uncertain times. Rest assured that regardless of the hurdles that were involved with the distance to our home and being in a different country everything was handled in a very timely manner. Once the details were worked out our multi lift was delivered speedily. Full instructions were given and we were able to begin using our multi lift immediately. After a few weeks I decided that we might be better suited for the rear sliding door option for our minivan. That option was shipped to our home within two days and Access Umlimited even reached out to our local shop either instructions on the installation directly with the technician who was to do the installation. Once again I was astonished by the level of customer service that I was receiving. Never in my 60 years on this planet had I ever been taken care of by any company at this level. They were with us every single step of the way. Nothing was going to stop them from seeing to my every single need. Complete satisfaction is guaranteed from the start. My wife lost the use of her legs due to the side effect of the immunotherapy used to fight her melanoma. All the staff at access unlimited spent countless hours designing a lift system for our house and car. They expedited delivery when it appeared she would be dismissed early. Traditional Hoyer systems require much clear floor space and are too bulky for practical home use. The wall mounted access unlimited system has been so efficient in removing my wife from her hospital bed. It is very easy to align her precisely with her wheelchair. The bathroom system allows convenient placement in the shower and hot tub. As with all systems there is a learning curve and practice soon makes the access unlimited products very easy to use. The dual use lift allowed us to use our existing SUV rather than buying a large van with a ramp. It allows mobility while putting her in the car seat with factory seatbelt rather than having to clamp the wheelchair seat to the floor of a van and mess with a ramp with it's needed clearance. Soon we hope to rig my motorhome with access unlimited gear (at fraction of the cost of motorhome ramp conversion) which will allow overnight travel access to bed, commode, and shower. Also ita easy to reverse the conversion when selling the motorhome. I thank the whole unlimited access team for their competent assistance and fine equipment. We are so grateful for Access Unlimited, their capable staff and all the work they do! My husband Frank has Multiple Sclerosis. His M.S. has worsened so much in the past two years that he cannot walk or stand at all. I was still trying to transfer him into the car and it was becoming unsafe. I dropped him once and I hurt my back trying to get him in the car. Originally I was looking at possibly purchasing a wheelchair accessible vehicle to transport him. The more I looked, the more discouraged I got. The new ones are so expensive that we could not afford one and the used ones were typically older with high miles and still quite expensive. A friend of mine had heard of Access Unlimited and accomodations they can make to help people with mobility impairments live an active life. When I called I really had no idea what I needed besides help getting Frank safely into and out of our car. From the very first time I called their office I had a feeling that they were going to change our lives. The woman on the other end of the phone was Staci and she was very friendly and knowledgeable. She asked me many questions about Frank's mobility to help decide what would be the best fit for us. We decided upon a lift device that picked Frank up from his wheelchair and guided him safely into the car. This is accomplished by putting the sling which comes with the lift, around and under his back and legs. Then you attach the hooks from the sling onto the lift and push the power button. I was given training on how to use this device by the people that work for the company. The lift is powered by a rechargeable battery which also comes with the lift. As my son has grown, it has been increasingly hard to find a way to fit him sitting in his wheelchair, along with his 5 siblings, into a vehicle. We were looking at either having to choose a commercial van. Once I calculated the additional insurance, lift maintenance costs, and gas... it was necessary to look at other options. Review for Access Unlimited Easy Lift For the past two or three years, my wife has gone from needing a walker to get around the house to needing a wheelchair. During that same period of time, she has gone from being able to pull herself into her van (not a wheelchair van, but a regular one) and driving herself to being able to assist with getting into and out of my sedan as a passenger, to no longer being able to assist at all with the transfers. At that point, I could no longer take her anywhere without knowing that at least one strong person would be able and willing to help me get her in and out of the car through shear physical strength. Concurrently, she also began to need frequent hospital stays and occasional periods when she needed to be in a nursing home for a few weeks at a time. It began to look like she would soon be stuck there with no other options. Well, she is in a nursing home, but through the use of the Access Unlimited Multi-Lift, I am once again able to take her to and from her doctor's and hospital appointment as opposed to an ambulance which was both expensive and uncomfortable. We are also able to make weekly trips for pleasure. Since her electric wheelchair folds up and fits in the trunk and the Multi-Lift fits quite well behind her seat, we are quite independent, again. This has made all the difference in the world to her. She not only has some independence, again, but she has our weekly excursions to look forward to. It is so easy to transfer her, in fact, that at least two other residents have asked for information on getting a Multi-Lift for themselves. We did discuss the price, of course. One of them didn't seem to care as long as he could, as he put it, "get out of here" once in a while, while the other one was a little more like me in worrying about the ongoing cost. He mentioned that I would have to keep my car for as long as possible after spending that much, but I told him that only the part that hangs on the door hinges is custom made and the rest of the lift would be transferable. Since my car is pushing 200,000 miles on it, that is a good thing. As far as the Multi-Lift itself, we have no complaints. It is in three light and one moderately heavy sections that pretty much anyone who isn't disabled or really old should be able to handle with no problem. The battery lasts for a long time and is easy to detach from the unit to charge inside the house. Once the sling was adjusted for my wife, it worked fine. I really don't have any complaints except that I wish insurance or Medicaid would at least pay for a little of it. Compared to paying for round trips for ambulances to and from the doctor's offices, you'd think they'd want everyone to have one. We're happy we were able to scrape the money together and get one for my wife. She is gaining strength and hope because of it, I am sure. If you can get and use one, do it. In June, 2020, my kidney transplant started to fail, and I knew I would need dialysis. Shortly after learning this, I was preparing our home for guests and started to fall as I walked around, putting towels in the bathroom, etc. I finally sat down in a soft chair, and visited with our guests, who eventually wanted to go out to lunch. To my considerable consternation, I could not get out of the chair. My legs refused to support me! My husband helped me into bed, where I ran a "diagnostic" on my body. All my limbs had suffered some kind of paralysis which prevented me from walking, using my arms and hands, or getting out of bed. My paralysis was caused by stenosis of nerves in my neck. For a couple weeks I relied on EMT help, but realized that I needed another solution for the long term. My husband was unable to lift or carry me. When I sought dialysis in my area, I was told that we would need to remove me from the car to a wheelchair or from the wheelchair to the car without any staff assistance. We were unable to transfer my body at all, so I had to be transported via ambulance to Las Vegas, 100 miles away, where I could dialyze. My husband was not allowed to visit the facility, and I missed him terribly. He began to research transferring options when he discovered the wonderful Multilift. He called Tom Egan, the owner/CEO and explained our problem. Tom promised to manufacture a unit made specifically for me and our 2016 Jeep Trailhawk, as soon as possible, and true to his word, it was sent within two weeks. An engineer helped my husband install it via phone, and it was ready to be used several hours later. At last I was able to come home to receive dialysis! The lift is an engineering miracle! It lifts and lowers me smoothly and efficiently without damaging the door hinges whatsoever. I can get out of our car and into a wheelchair within 5 minutes. My family is from Singapore. I live in New York. My father was hit by a car two years ago in Malaysia. He had bleeding in the brain that was not taken care of on time (so for you who are reading this, please get crazy insurance if you ever visit Malaysia), and his minor brain bleed led to an eventual removal of a huge portion of his right brain that led to 95% incapacitation. For about a year and a half, my family relied on private ambulances to ferry my dad to hospitals, therapies, etc. The heavy costs aside, the dependence on these private ambulances sometimes meant that he was late for very important appointments. And then my mom found Access Unlimited's multi-lift on the web in early 2017, about a week before I was to head back to Singapore to visit the family. I went to their site, typed into their contact form, and Tom reached out to me almost right away. I tried explaining my family's situation to him, but because I'm not physically there, I put him in contact with my mom and brother. Next thing I know, they had bought the multi-lift, and Access Unlimited got the speedy bar made asap so that I could have it just in time to bring it back to Singapore. Because I'm only a few hours away by car, Tom offered to show me how to work the multi-lift when I went to meet him upstate to pick up the equipment. On top of that, he made a video while teaching me for repeated referencing at our convenience AND offered an additional training session via video-conferencing as soon as I got the equipment back to Singapore. In addition, he was knowledgeable on overseas customs and advised me on the protocol of bringing the equipment safely back across the Pacific Ocean. When I got back to Singapore, we set up the promised training session with Frank, who explained the logistics of how to work the multi-lift to get my dad in and out of the car safely via video-conferencing. While the application is fairly simple, my dad is a pretty tall man and getting him in and out of the car was tricky. Through it all, Frank was amazingly patient as we fuddled amateurishly until we finally got it right with my dad. Now, thanks to Access Unlimited and its incredible invention - plus the team's round-the-clock effort to make sure we didn't just get the equipment on time but to also patiently equip us with the capability to operate it steadfastly - my family not only saved thousands of dollars on private ambulances, they now have the option to take my dad to shopping malls, family gatherings, church, and random nights out at ANY TIME. We have been looking for years to be able to travel with our son in a Motor Home as he's in a wheelchair. The cost to buy a new Motorhome with a Wheelchair lift was out of reach, cost wise and there just isn't any used models for sale so we had pretty much given up on this ever being a reality. One day, I happened to see on YouTube video for Access Unlimited, for a Sling Lift and low and behold, that was our answer. We investigated and found out they were located in New York so again I thought we were out of luck, because we are on Vancouver Island and about as far away from them as possible. I'm writing to thank you for making such a great product. I'm talking about the Multi-Lift. I use it to transport my mother who is not mobile. The multi-lift allows our family to get her out of the house for important doctor appointments, visits with friends and drives to the local park. This really helps her feel like she's not missing out on life. We would not be able to give my mother access to the outside world without this machine. we purchased a multilift system for our travel trailer for our disabled adult son. We were able to transfer him from his chair to the toilet to the shower and to the bed. It was very beneficial. We recently purchased a motorhome and were able to transfer the system to the motorhome and we purchased another multilift that is able to reach out of the motorhome and lift his chair in. I got it for my Chevy Tahoe and it exceeded my expectations and like it so much I'm now getting it set up for my other car. There is nothing much you need to do except buy it. It's been a long time since multiple sclerosis forced me into disability as I lost the use of my arms and legs. A power chair, some good old-fashioned ingenuity, and strength of character my dad was kind enough to share with me have kept me moving forward in life. Along the way there have been difficult barriers but most of them came with solutions. One of the biggest barriers I faced was the possibility of becoming home-bound because of the difficulties faced with getting me into a vehicle. That's where a group of caring church folk in Wisconsin joined with a small company in New York State to make a real difference in my life. Lakeside Lutheran Church in Spooner Wisconsin held a pancake breakfast fundraiser to raise the money necessary to purchase and install a fascinating little lift in my minivan. It came together just as it became dangerous for someone to transfer my ever worsening body safely into the vehicle. The ground was hard and unforgiving and the expense of purchasing an accessible van was overwhelming. This is where the company Access Unlimited entered the picture. They manufacture and sell a unique product known as a multi-lift. Today, two minivans and 13 years later, the multi-lift is still working. It is a little worse for wear with some rust and a few scratches but with some fairly minor maintenance, one replacement part, and a new sling, it still safely transfers me from my wheelchair to the passenger seat. Access Unlimited has created a first-class product which they back up with excellent customer service. I was no longer home-bound as my caregivers could safely load me in to my van. Because of the multi-lift I am able to go fishing, grocery shopping, visit my kids, and go on fun adventures. Before the multi-lift 13 years ago I was not able do anything outside of my driveway. The multi-lift has lasted me 13 years and I plan on it to last me another 13 years. In those 13 years, there were adjustments to be made and a part needed to be replaced. I wish we could give a higher rating to this firm. One a scale of 1 to 5, maybe a 487 or higher. We first purchased the auto lift for my wheelchair-bound husband, and we were then free to leave the house and enjoy restaurants, day trips, entertainment - - the world beyond our yard to day-trips. Adding the Multi-lift to our toolbox allowed us to expand to multi-day trips as lifting to the bed in motel rooms became possible. The whole world is our oyster now thanks to this extremely well-engineered line of products.
