I ordered a lift for my RV from Access Unlimited last May. The installer they choose gave me the run around for months with one excuse after another. After I complained Access Unlimited stepped in and found a second installer and shipped a new lift to them to install on my RV. The first lift was so messed up by the first installer it was useless. After using the lift for a trip with my RV I had several minor suggestions for improvements. Access Unlimited stepped up again and shipped a new lift with every suggestion I had to the second installer and had it installed on my RV at no charge to me. We had an Easy Reach seat built for our H2 Hummer and it is the perfect solution for our family and for our daughter who has cerebral palsy. It works flawlessly. What differentiated Access Unlimited from others is that we were able to keep the nice heated leather seat that came with the Hummer rather than receiving an off color, generic seat that the other guys wanted to provide us with. Walt and Bonnie updated us sometimes twice a week as to were in the assembly process the vehicle was. The workmanship was so good that until I opened the rear door and saw the parts that were replaced I never even noticed that the door had been modified to provide additional leg room! I couldn't be happier with the service and the product I received from Access Unlimited. I run a home care business in Canada and needed the highest possible quality boat lift to transport people with limited to no (quadriplegic) movement safely into and out of a boat. From the first discussion with them to the on-going training they have provided me has far exceeded my expectations. The product firstly is extremely well made and durable. It also just looks good...it looks like it fits in with the design of our boat. In terms of the people we dealt with to make it...extraordinary. My husband and I have tried to keep in front of my physical changes since being diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). When we found Access Unlimited online we researched them, watched their videos online, and spoke with them on the phone. We found the car lift and multi-lift to be perfect for our needs, and they made us a custom hot tub lift! Also, for people with other disability levels they make vehicle seats that pivot and lower you to wheelchair height. All the people at Access Unlimited were generous with their time and knowledge. THANK YOU Access Unlimited!!! I LOVE my new RV lift. We have a 20 year old son who is mentally and physically challenged and who loves to go camping. Needless to say he has grown much taller than his mom and was getting harder and harder each year to get him in and out of the motor home. So I have been searching for years to find an aftermarket lift and most of them required drilling into the side of our motorhome and we would have to transfer him. Transferring him requires two people to be present. I finally came across Access Unlimited multi-lift online. And it has made a big change in my life and his for the better. We don't need to lift Jon in anymore we just need to slip a sling around his back and then under his knees while he is in his wheelchair. The only change to the motor home is an anchor for the lift was installed inside. The lift is removable so no major changes are made. We camp most of the summer and this year was so much easier, Jon was able to go outside much more since it was easier to get him in and out. And I can't say enough about the company and staff. Everyone that we dealt with was very helpful, purchased the multi lift for the home and two different bath slings as well as a floor mount for the bathroom. Items were delivered in a timely manner, all the pieces were received. Easy to assemble on our own but we could call for help or to have any questioned answered. My husband has ALS and we recently had Access Unlimited install a chair lift on the outside of our motorhome. We live on the Jersey Shore so they sent their drivers to both pick up and redeliver our RV. Happily without incident. We love the lift. It really works great, however we both are very disappointed in the post customer service care. We were told that a company representative would call us and step us through the 'hands on' procedure of how to use it. TO DATE WE NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN. I had to call my son and within five minutes we were able to figure out how to use the lift. 5 MINUTES was all it took. If Access Unlimited had called us back with instructions, this review would be 5 stars. Top Notch Product, but not their customer service. read more

My husband has been confined to a wheelchair full time for the last 10 years due to MS, a progressively debilitating disease. Hotels became less accessible as his mobility declined, forcing us to consider an RV as an alternative option. Traditional wheelchair lift options in RV's are large, heavy, invasive, expensive, and maintenance plagued; all issues that limited our RV options. Traditional lift systems also vividly announce that this vehicle contains or transport a disabled person marking them as possible targets of crime. Access Mobility is the exception. We purchased the Multi-lift for our 5th wheel camper: the entire system weighs less that 100 lbs total, has simple mechanically moving part, operates via battery pack or electrical outlet, required only a single 12x8" attachment mounting plate that weighs less than 15lbs installed on the interior camper wall adjacent to the entrance door, completely storable when traveling or not in use, requires minimal operator maintenance, and can be used for inside/outside movement but also to move from the bottom interior floor up to the top interior floor removing the need for a ramp. The cost of purchase was minimal when compared to the cost of a traditional wheelchair lift system in terms of purchase, instillation, and remodeling costs needed to accommodate the large size of the commercial lift system. Aside from a quality product, one of the best features about Access Mobility is their customer support. The personal commitment to the customer begins during the product selection process and continued well past delivery. We received progress updates throughout our system build both by phone and email, video conference training sessions after the lift was installed, and an immediate response to a request for a smaller sling (they overnighted the new sling to the campground we were staying at free of charge). I have been an enthusiastic user for the last year and a half of the multi-lift hydraulic transfer assist for the handicapped, invented and produced by Access Unlimited. Without this quiet, battery-operated hydraulic arm at my bedside, waiting to attach itself to the sling which wraps around me, and which then transports me to my wheelchair, also at bedside, I would be stranded, housebound and bedfast until my part-time caregiver arrives each evening. Without my multi-lift, I would be back in the nursing home. But with it that unhappy inevitability is delayed and a welcome measure of independence, mobility and freedom is mine again. The staff and trainers at Accessibility Unlimited are exceptionally gifted at long-distance support for the installation and introduction to the multi-lift -- and to the speedy bar which attaches to one's car door -- and while the initial price tag is unsupported by insurance, I'm here to testify that a multi-lift fully installed costs no more than one month at a nursing home! I write this testimony to tell people about the experience I have had with Access Unlimited. About four years ago, I lost the ability to stand on my own. I had to come up with a plan to be able to stay home. I discovered Access Unlimited. Access Unlimited came to my home and helped me make a plan to installl a lift by my bed to help me get in and out of bed. Also, another in my bathroom to get me out of my wheelchair and onto the toilet The best part of my lift is that not only is it for use in my home, but I purchased a component that my family attaches to the hinges of my car and another for my truck. We've been using our Access Unlimited multi lift in our car for about 3 years now. My wife has M.S. which has progressed so that she could no longer use the rotating transfer seat in our mini van. We were already looking for a new vehicle, but didn't want to have a full size van and leave her sitting in her wheelchair every time we drove somewhere. I found Access Unlimited online and studied their site and many videos and photos. I then put in a call and was happy to find someone who was willing to take all the time needed to explain everything to me. He even gave me his cell phone number so I could reach him at any time if I had more questions. Once we decided we were going to buy, I was put in touch with an installer who made everything easy from there. We had the lift put into a 2012 Ford Flex. It works great. We can easily pick my wife up out of her wheelchair and set her right in the front seat of the car, and getting her out is just as easy. read more

The company hand held me through the entire process and training. My 90 year old Dad safely gets out of the nursing home every Saturday for a drive. I am the one who always reads the reviews, but I never write one. I hope my story will be helpful to someone who needs help with lifting a loved one. Twenty years ago a beautiful two year old happened into my life at a time when 'I needed her as much as she needed me'. She came without instruction but we managed by God's grace and the help of the many family, friends and professionals. In the beginning, she was so small I carried her everywhere. An umbrella stroller was all I needed. I celebrated every ounce gained, and every tiny achievement was a milestone. Yahoo! As the years passed she continued to grow in height and weight. My back was paying a great price for all this stress and strain. Getting her in and out of the van was my biggest challenge. Ashlynn's Physical Therapist had researched Access Unlimited and thought the multi-lift they offered might be just what I needed. So the multi-lift was installed in my 2004 Nissan Quest. I was a happy camper! However, the umbrella stroller became a tilt-in-space wheelchair, with a high back and head rest. It became too heavy and unmanageable for getting in and out of the van. I finally purchased a wheelchair accessible van. I was still lifting her around the house and when she needed surgery for rods in her back, I was told I shouldn't be 'scooping', her anymore. Her length and my shorter stature really made for an unsafe combination for both of us. I called Access Unlimited and had a helpful, informative, conversation with Tom. I could use the multi-lift from the van in the house. They installed a wall mount beside her bed. I bring her bath chair, commode and wheelchair to her bedside!!!!. She is lifted in and out of bed a minimum of 10-12 times a day. She can shower EVERY day, she is on the commode at least three times a day, has a rest in the afternoon and up again to be with family until bedtime. The pediatric lift pads were so comfortable and gave great support for her head and neck that I kept them long after she had outgrown them. Finally, I did call and Walt helped me select the adult size appropriate for her. I like that the new stays are flexible. This new lift pad somehow helps her to lift her head on her own. I can't explain that but it's nice. There is a training video that I found very informative. Even if you know how to use the product the training videos are important. The staff is friendly and eager to understand your needs. They know their product well enough to match you with the right product and just the right person to help you. I am quite overwhelmed by the impact this multi-lift has had on my daughter's ability to participate in life well beyond her bed, bedroom and home. I am grateful!!! read more

My husband and I purchased a Multi-lift (similar to a Hoyer lift, but it also works in the car and in the bathroom) from Access Unlimited two months ago to use with my 98-year-old grandma. We are so thankful for the lift, because having it enabled us to take my grandma out of assisted living and take care of her in our home. She is completely wheelchair bound, and had to have two person transfers at the facility, but even that was getting too difficult. The lift has a sling that we tuck behind my grandma and under her legs without ever having to lift her. Access Unlimited has wonderful customer service - they spent hours on the phone and Skype with us, answering our questions, training us, and helping us make adjustments to the lift. They truly care! Using the lift took training, making adjustments to the straps on the sling, and practice, but now we are confidently using it to get my grandma from her bed to her wheelchair, onto the toilet, and in and out of our Prius. We are so happy to be able to take my grandma to family events, etc. without having to hire or buy a wheelchair accessible van. My husband and I highly recommend the Multi-lift! read more
