I got my first introduction to the lovely crime scene of New Orleans 5 days before Christmas when some lovely person decided to smash my front passenger window in and steal a bunch of stuff out of my car while it was parked at a relatively busy intersection downtown. Not cool. I called my insurance company the next morning only to find out they weren't going to cover the repairs, so I was left on my own to get the window fixed before I left town in a few days. Happy holidays, folks. Accurate Auto Glass quoted me $75 less than Safelite did, and offered to send some one to my house. I needed the window fixed before they could get here, so the helpful lady over the phone said if I could take my car to them first thing the next day, they would be able to fix it a little sooner. Consider it done. I got to the shop a little before 8am, and sat in the very cozy waiting area, which is nothing more than a couple chairs about 10 feet from the receptionist's desk. It looked like they were having their office holiday party that day because people kept coming in with presents and food and disappearing in to some back room. There were also 3 little boys (3 years old-ish) running around in their jammies, so it definitely seems like a pretty family oriented place. After about an hour, a lady comes out and tells me that they can't actually fix my window right now because they don't have the right replacement like she thought, but she could get the right part in from Baton Rouge that afternoon. I was already late for work at this point, so I was starting to get a little upset, but she quickly went on to say that her guy would tape up my window properly (what, she didn't like the black, non-transparent trash bag thing I had going?!) and they would come to my office to fix it. That was slightly inconvenient since I work downtown and park in a parking garage a few blocks from my office, but at this point I had no time to be picky. The repairman called me when he was about 5 minutes away so I snuck out for a few minutes and met him at my car. He was really friendly and apologetic about the morning, and had the window fixed in about an hour and a half. Plus, he completely vacuumed my car and cleaned up all of the broken glasses that I was still riding around with. The window seems to work properly- I've only rolled it down once, but it went right back up so that's a good sign. And I think I got a lifetime guarantee on the window as well, so that's a plus. I'm glad I got such a good deal, and that I could support a local business instead of the overpriced nation glass company. read more

Some lowlife broke out my passenger window on a Sunday afternoon...called these folks expecting just to get a message system telling me the hours so I could go in the next day...within 5 mins they called me back at 7pm on a Sunday night and setup an appointment to come out to my house the next day to repair the glass. They were on time, super professional and some of the nicest people I have actually dealt with in the NOLA area. More businesses could learn something from these folks. The receptionist promptly returned my message, was friendly and helpful. The technician they sent arrived at my house in the time frame scheduled. He took about 30 minutes to do the job. When he was done, I tested rolling up and down the window and it stuck on some glass that was clearly visible even on the window ledge, not like it was buried in the door panel, so he could have done a more thorough clean up. However, he promptly got a tool to remove the leftover shards and then the window worked fine. The price was exactly what they quoted me, which is $100 cheaper that Safelite and the same as another local company which took a couple extra days to return my call. I would definitely recommend Accurate. The customer service, replacement service, onsite visit, and price were all done well. read more

I got an uh oh on my new ride and my dealership suggested Accurate Auto Glass. Everyone was very professional, from the initial phone call to the technicians who came to me to install my new windshield. Marie was very courteous and informative on that initial phone call. The appointment was made at my convenience for two days later. I got a phone call from the technician to let me know that I was next and it would be an hour before they got here. Perfect! There were two very courteous technicians. They worked in a professional manner and within an hour or so, the job was complete. They managed to save that expensive little brake tag decal too! I backed into a crepe myrtle this morning at 830, which shattered the rear window on my van. I looked on yelp and found this place. I called my service guy and he too recommended it. Belle was very helpful, they had the glass available and were able to squeeze me in for replacement. They were done by 11. Fantastic! Every one there was very nice and i was grateful. NEVER use this company. At first, I was pleased with the quick at home service they provided on my SUV hatchback window. I love to support the local companies, so I was happy it went well. However, 6 weeks after installation, my hatchback door wouldn't open. I took it to the dealer because it's a brand new car. They informed me that there was so much glass in the door panel that it locked up the latch. Apparently, the accurate glass technician didn't vacuum ANY glass out of the panel like they are supposed to. I never go in the trunk, so I never heard any rattling. The job at the dealer was $360 to replace the latch. I called accurate to tell them about the problem. All the operator could tell me was the technician is a perfectionist and wouldn't have done that. Ok fine, maybe he is. I understand you can't get microscopic pieces. The problem was it was a ton according to the dealer mechanic. She then stated I should have called them first to save the $360. I told her if your technician is the best, why would I even think it was glass causing the problem. My logic went to it being an electrical/mechanical issue. The end result has been me eating the costs of the initial repair of the broken window and the dealership job to correct their lazy technician's mistake. Just FYI, if you choose this company, make sure you watch them to the "perfect" job. read more
