I cannot overstate how impressed I am with both the skill and quality of the services here are. I've been a frequent customer for a wide variety of custom items including small brass identity plates (like those added to trophies--seemingly one of the primary offerings here) to some rather unexpected items like a thin copper gasket made to fit a device on my small-block Mercedes-Benz Diesel engine exhaust (and remarkably, not only did Mr. Olsen the proprietor and chief engraver knock it out of the park in terms of quality (and as a former precision machinist I'm hard to please), his pricing is terrific! I am a big fan of Mr. Olsen, and his wife (who owns and operates an adjacent business, and occasionally answers the phone here). They're Torrance detailed work HEROES for sure!! My son is an Army Medic. He's graduating his AIT soon and I wanted to get him something special. I ordered some Leatherman Raptor Shears and had them engraved. Accurate Engraving did a great job. My experience with Accurate Engraving Co & Perry (the owner) was EXCELLENT! The shop may be a bit complicated to find, but thanks to previous Yelpers who provided photos of the shop location for reference, I had no problems finding it (thanks Yelp community). Also, FYI- the inside of the shop is literally his workshop, so don't expect to have a receptionist greet you up front. :) I messaged Perry here on Yelp before actually coming in, to ask if he would be able to do the engraving I needed on a bartender mixing spoon for a gift. I attached photos of the item I wanted engraved, along with measurements to give him an exact idea. His turn around response time was quick & he provided me with an estimate with his reply; I appreciated that. I definitely recommend contacting him through this method as it's clear, direct & p. Upon meeting him in the shop, we had a short discussion about font styles & layout. About 4-5 days later (I told him I was in no rush), it was ready to be picked up and it looked exactly as he promised! I am so pleased with how it turned out and my friend really loved it! So glad I found this place through Yelp (pretty much thanks to D'anna's review)! Bought a fancy stainless steel mustache comb/bottle opener keychain as a graduation gift for my boyfriend and, the day before graduation, was struck with an idea to get his nickname engraved on it. Found Accurate Engraving via Yelp, gave them a call, and was invited to bring the comb by so they could look at it and let me know if a same-day turnaround was possible. Owner Perry was extremely patient and accomodating with my last-minute request, and got as much input from me as possible to ensure I was totally happy with the finished product...which I was. Perry was able to engrave awesome, perfect Olde-English lettering to precisely hug the odd curves of the comb--it looked even better than I expected and I'm so happy he was able to squeeze it into his workflow. Professionalism and service do not get any better than this place. Seriously. I wanted some engraved knives for groomsmen gifts but didnt like all the bad quality knives that came with custom engraving that I saw online. I decided to purchase decent/good quality knives myself and take them somewhere to be engraved. I called Perry (owner) before ever buying a knife to run my idea by him and to find out cost. He has different levels of engraving but his basic style diamond tip engraving was all I needed AND CHEAP! He then warned me about different types of metal and how they would respond to being engraved. This information was very useful to make sure there would be no rust issues over time (yay stainless steel) Once I purchased the knives I took them to his shop and explained the general idea of how I wanted it to look. He showed me multiple examples of the types of engraving he does and a thick book of fonts to choose from. I asked him if it was okay to find my own font online and send it to him to use. He was happy to do so! Once I found the font I liked I did my own rough mock-up in photoshop. I explained I wanted the first and last letter of each name capitalized + larger font, along with the name being curved to the same curve of the handle blade. I also asked that he send me proofs before starting to actually engrave. Perry was amazing. He put in some serious time to get the letter height, spacing, and curve absolutely perfect. The knives couldnt have come out any better!...and the price was dirt cheap!! He put in so much effort and was so great about it all I was compelled to tip him! I think that is the first time I have tipped a business other than in the food industry. That is how great he was! I highly recommend using Accurate Engraving. QUALITY! We bought my son a watch for his college graduation present, and decided to get it engraved to mark its significance. As always, I turned to Yelp, and discovered Accurate Engraving Co. which had top ratings. After reviewing their website, I liked the fact that they were not just jewelry engravers, but were actually 'professional' engravers that also engraved jewelry. I called Perry and explained what I needed and he provided an estimate, which I thought was very reasonable when compared to other jewelry stores. I visited his shop which is in the front of a small business park. Don't let the storefront fool you, as it is actually an office/machine shop - serious stuff! I showed Perry the watch ... I already knew what I wanted engraved - "VENI VIDI VICI" (a Julius Caeser quote in Latin meaning 'I came, I saw, I conquered') - with school initials year and my son's initials. After some discussion and advice, Perry drew what it would look like and Voila... agreement was made! I picked it up on the due date and the watch was ready and waiting. When it comes to a special gift for a special person, I don't mind going out of my way to get a quality product - but Perry was not only able to provide quality, but he did it on schedule and at a reasonable price. The reward came when my wife and I were able to present the engraved watch to my son and see the pride on his face when he looked at the back of the watch and the meaning of the words sank in... and it didn't hurt that everything looked so classy! I had 3 Zippo lighters and the slim beveled-edge of a watch caseback engraved. The watch caseback engraving in particular had a very small, curved edge to engrave but Perry did a a great job. Letters came out exactly as I had hoped and the owner made sure that he was handling the lighters extra carefully so that he doesn't ruin the surface of the lighters. When I brought him the lighter and the design, he told me about all the different options I had, from the size of the engraving, down to the kind of Mark that would be in the engraving itself.
