I wish I could write a good review, as I had very high hopes. After doing a basic test , putting putty on a small leak in one spa jet, i was told it was fixed. There was also a few "drops" dripping by my filter that I corrected immediately by tightening. I continued to lose well over 1/2-3/4" a day even during cold wet days through the winter. I was paid another visit and told it was evaporation. I insisted it wasn't as I had never had to refill my pool twice a week in many years (especially when no one was swimming in it). Eventually they came out and again, said it was all set. It wasn't. After my last $400 water bill and continuing to fill my pool twice a week, I went on Amazon, spent $15 on Dye and $15 on Putty and found 2 more leaks around the jets and waterfall that were relatively big. Guess what, no more leakage for weeks. I'm not saying everyone can DIY it. I'm just expressing my dissatisfaction as I really had I expected them to either fix it, or do a full or even partial refund to help cover my loss for the months of gaslighting about evaporation where I had to pay for excessive water loss. read more

They did an excellent job diagnosing and inspecting our pool. Kept a timely last minute inspection for a new home purchase and were very thorough in their inspection and reporting. While the price was good, I can't say I'd ever recommend Accurate Leak Detective to anyone who is looking for pool leak detection or repair. I started out by spending around a half hour each speaking with the owner and his wife about what the issue is and what I've done so far to troubleshoot. After speaking to them both, I scheduled an appointment. While the owner and his wife were both pleasant to talk to, it appears that the technician Mike seems to want to do just the minimum possible to get by. To begin with, he was an hour and half late to the appointment. When he arrived, he knew none of the background information I provided to both the owner and his wife. He setup a machine that allegedly detected based on water flow if the pool was still leaking or not. Mike used dye on the stairs, skimmer, and returns and decided it must be the stairs. I have three stairs in my entry, he only tested one of them. He found a set of 3-4 leaks and patched them with putty. He reset his leak detector three times to be sure, and told me there were no more leaks! I asked if we should test the piping to be sure, and he tells me 90% of the time its not in the pipes. He did advise the stairs were going to need replaced as a more permanent fix, but said that this patch is guaranteed for 90 days and that according to his detector, the leaks were fixed for now with the putty. He was in and out within 30-45min. 24 hours later, and I've still lost 1" of water from my pool. I reach back out to the office, who is very busy and takes days to reply each time. She tells me that Mike told her "I could use the whole tube of putty and not fix all the leaks in those stairs" and he just has a comeback for every little thing that I ask her. That's great, but I was told the leaks were fixed and now its still leaking. At this point, I ask for them to come back out and test the pipes just to be sure that there isn't a leak there. About a week later they come back and test the pipes, and they are in fact leaking as well. The claim is that the O ring on the pump and the pump drain plugs are the issue. So now I have leaks in my stairs AND leaks in my pump. Tired of going back and forth, I bought the putty myself and spent the time that Mike refused to take to find ALL leaks in my stairs, and repair them myself. I tested all three stairs and found additional holes all within 5" to the left or the right of where his original patch was, as well as 3 new holes in the patch he did. I let the front office know this, and they did not reply to my inquiry and ignored me. What a hassle, it felt like pulling teeth just to get the work done correctly and to get him to show up on time. I won't be using this company in the future and would recommend you shop elsewhere for your pool needs. read more

Due to being in GA, had to wait but good things worth waiting for they say........AND ALD came through. Michael was the tech and he found/corrected a couple of problems on his 1st visit. But when leak continued, Erin dispatched him back (in warranty) and Michael put on his diving gear and found a leak in the underwater light. Problem solved! And water bill back to normal. read more

House went under contract twice while selling. Same inspector (Jim) from this company both times. First time says the pump is too small and has to be replaced, second time a week later says it's perfectly fine. First inspection, the water was cloudy and being treated as nobody had been home to take care of it in 3 weeks, second inspection water is crystal clear but Jim used old photos and said he couldn't inspect due to extreme cloudiness. Also suggested a $200+ valve replacement because he didn't know to unscrew a locking screw on the valve to prevent accidental turning. Also took the cover off of the timing mechanism and then reported that there was no cover at all. ​Edit due to false response from business: We can provide video evidence for the fact that he didn't know how to operate the valve. If he had, difficulty turning it would never have been included in the report. Also, I can provide screenshots of the sections of the report where it says the skimmer worked fine and no leaks were detected throughout the pool so either you're lying now or you lied in your report. You are correct, we made no repairs in between, only water quality maintenance which you still lied about. Had I known that would be an issue, I'd have documented that as well when you came the second time. But the fact that we made no repairs and the reports say different things should be telling to others to not trust these business practices. read more

There's NOTHING accurate about their leak detection. In my experience, they did not provide the service they guaranteed in writing. So, they didn't guarantee their work. It is very hard to get in contact with them (via phone, text, and email). Furthermore, their customer service is very poor if you have any issues with them. They used the wrong leak patch seal color in one area of my pool, and detached my pool spa light and left it hanging out with the wiring only holding it (which was a safety hazard). So, I had to pay someone else to change the color to match my pool color and re-attach my spa light. They also provided misleading information regarding my skimmer basket area and how high to fill up my pool with water. I verified with two other licensed pool leak detection companies that they were 100 percent incorrect. Jim stated that they can NEVER fix all pool leaks. So, that's the only guarantee! If you do use this company, hold them accountable for their work. Do not pay them until your issue(s) are fully resolved! read more
