Mason advised I just replace my tower, so I took myself and my credit card to Best Buy where I purchased a lenovo computer CPU that looks like a tiny spaceship. I took the new "little guy" and the tower of the old computer back to Cal Tech. Mason efficiently moved my data to the "little guy", and did so at a reasonable price. I have since then dealt with Ethan, Matt, and Brent, the owner, who answered the phone on a Saturday! All of them have been considerate and clear in their explanations. (These have since been discontinued because apparently they were a Bad Idea and failed with alarming regularity.) I did not know that prior to my visit to Caltec. They ran a bunch of tests, diagnosed the drive as the problem, removed the drive, tried to recover data, and were unable to do so. They pointed me at DriveSavers, made a few very helpful recommendations, and refused my efforts to compensate them "because they were unable to fix my problem."

By the spring of 2020, we had an image burnt into the bottom part of the screen which was about one foot high and extended the full distance from left to right. After living with it and trying several suggestions to remove that annoying vision, I called LG and went through the process to get the situation fixed. LG determined our screen had to be replaced, but since it was more than 2 years from the time of purchase, they'd cover the cost of the screen ($1,900), but not the work required to install it. Fair enough. Within a day, I was contacted by Robert, the owner of Certified Electronics which is the authorized repair place in the area for LG TVs. He estimated it would take 2 or 3 weeks for the part to arrive and made arrangements for him to visit our house. Later, after it was delivered to his shop, we finalized the schedule. Robert arrived on time and methodically replaced the old TV screen which was heavy and bulky with a new one which, at 65 inches, was also heavy and bulky. I helped a little here and there since the size and weight would be too much for just one person...no matter their strength and skill. After 40 minutes (about an hour from his entrance to exit), everything looked new. Based on this visit with Certified Electronics, I'd give them 5 stars. Robert: - Arrived on time properly masked - Did the job with a minimum of fuss and delay - Packaged the old TV screen so it could be returned to LG - Is a really nice, down-to-earth guy - Charged a reasonable price of $240 for his time and expertise Without hesitation, I'd recommend Certified Electronics to people in need of TV repair.

I had seen very favorable reviews for Mustang Computers and called Colin Slaughter, the owner, and set a time for him to come to the house. He arrived at the appointed time and very quickly found and solved the problem. During his diagnosis he discovered other problems that unfortunately involved files needing to be addressed in "the cloud". His service charge was his hourly rate, we paid him for his time, and he said he'd have to return the next day to complete the service when "the cloud" had completed it's function.
