Steve is fantastic. I messaged him on yelp regarding a quote to fix my computer that randomly glitches. He asked me some questions to see if it was even worth getting evaluated. I responded and then stalled on bringing it in. A few weeks later I called him and explained the issue again over the phone, he immediately recognized the issue and me and was super helpful. Fast turn around, no BS, honest, professional, and true to their estimates are a few positives about I will. I had dropped off my iPhone Xs and it was done in less than one hour. I had also dropped off my Mavic Pro Drone for a vibration plate replacement and it was fixed in no time. They were upfront about not having experience on this product, but I understood the risk and asked them to take a crack at it and they came through with precision. I dropped off the same drone for a gimbal cable repair. This is a very common failure on this model and parts are very cheap, but the labor is not. After discussing the situation, I agreed to do some of the breakdown myself and they would physically replace the cable. No other place near Monterey does this repair and I was very pleased with the results. Saved me from having to send my drone to Sacramento. Not that one would know by the signage but this place doubles as a UPS delivery pick up. Ryan Ranch gave us only the address so after a baffling expedition, I went in to claim our packages. All I can say is the owner would do well to first repair his attitude and if he took on this service to attract foot traffic then act like it. I dropped my phone and noticed a star crack on the screen. I passed " I will repair" a few times as I walked around Monterey. So I walked in to see if it could be repaired and how much. I was met by a pleasant man and as I talked to him, he came across to me has being knowledgeable. The cost of the repair was close to what I estimated it should be. The screen had to be special ordered and I paid extra for next day delivery. The next day, I got a call telling me the part was delivered and to come in and it'll be fixed in about an hour and half. NOW THE REAL REASON FOR THIS REVIEW!! When I can back in two hours ready to pay for my repaired phone, I was in for a very pleasent surprise. It seems that my screen protector had actually protected my phone! The star pattern and cracked lines were in the protector.The screen itself was undamaged. When the guy informed me. I was speachless. Here I was ready to pay the man and he said it didn't need repair!! An HONEST Man? In this day and age of dog eat dog. Most places (people) would have not said anything and either replaced the screen or more likely do nothing. Just take the money. Not this guy. I took it in and he schooled me on the difference between air cooled and water cooled computers and the pros and cons of each. My son's particular computer is water cooled. We were able to come up with a plan 1) figure out the issues 2) get the hard drive information transferred to an external drive, incase the computer could not be fixed 3) he provided a recommendation for a business ( online and with an APP) refurbished computers with warranty. One day before online instruction began, my iMAC's internal camera stopped working. I had taken my iPhone to Steve at I Will Repair previously and had been impressed by his knowledge, insight, spot-on diagnosis, and swift repair (after all, who can live without their phone these days?). I also knew that he was the go-to for a local school. So I Will Repair was my first call when my iMac went on the fritz. Steve immediately offered a short-term solution: a Logitech camera he had on hand that he had repaired. $20! Excellent. I also asked him to take a look for other reasons my computer was sluggish. His findings were eye-popping. Using optimization tools and anti-virus software, he found 4 thriving malwares (including a Trojan) plus 300 gb of junk. The slow processing issue was addressed - and solved. I came into this place and got a new screen put on my phone by this clown. He charged me $375. I got a couple drops of water on it when I was eating and it just completely stopped working. The repair service itself was great, reasonably-priced and the owner stayed after closing to finish my screen replacement while I waited. I'm dinging the service because the owner wasn't wearing a mask for coronavirus protection, which I didn't notice until after my phone's was already taken apart on his desk. When I asked him about it, he said he didn't believe in masks, that the science doesn't support them, and that he's had his business open for 77 days as an essential business without a mask and without incident. He does not know who has unknowingly. He's entitled to his opinion but he should at least put a sign on his door or a note on his website (or told me when I called) that he is ignoring the health department's mandate. Update based on owner's response: I am a customer with a customer experience. This forum is precisely the place to let potential customers know that your business does not comply with current Monterey business operating standards and that they may be risking their health by entering. Why wouldn't you want potential customers to know of your refusal or inability to wear a mask so that they can make an informed choice on whether to interact with you? It still takes some getting used to so I did not notice you weren't wearing a mask until you coughed and it was too late by then. Steve was great and was the saving grace for our computer that had extensive water damage. We originally took the computer into Apple and was told they could rebuild the computer but ALL data would be lost, or send the computer into a DataSavers company which could run 1-2 thousand dollars. Our computer was not backed up(lesson learned) and I needed that data off the computer. It had over 20 IMovie projects from vacations I had been on and documents from my wife's masters program. We brought the computer over to Steve and he worked with his team over the next couple weeks and retrieved all of our data in which we were able to upload via TimeMachine on our new MAC we had purchased. First of all, I am grateful that the business was open after I left work at 6:00 PM on a Friday. The home button on my older iPod had slipped out of place. I expected it would be hard to fix and I would have had to leave my iPod for a few days. Although a more permanent fix would be costly (more than the iPod was worth), the owner assisted me by quickly identifying the problem and assessing a workable solution within a few minutes.
