But then last month, it happened twice in three weeks--first time was my old radiator finally giving out, and the second time was a brake issue. Both times were terrible timing, and I really needed my car back fast. Even without an appointment, they fit me in, got the parts quickly, and had me back on the road way faster than I expected. That kind of service under pressure is rare. I was so grateful that they understood the predicament I was in and they, as per usual, took great care of me. What makes it worth it are: (1) they are totally honest and won't rip you off (tell you that you need service you don't really need, sell you bad quality or used parts, etc.); (2) they keep careful records so you know what's coming up and why (and so you don't get two radiator flushes in 3 months like I did at another shop that doesn't keep good records); (3) the work is done right, and in the time-frame they quote. You pay a little more, but you get peace of mind and a car that works right. In my mind, that's a totally reasonable bargain.
