We were on a road trip up to Paso all the way from Orange County. About 2 hours out from Paso my engine light came on. We called 5 different mechanics and half of them all told me to call Mike. We called him and unfortunately he was closing at 2pm (it was 1:45pm and we were still hours out). Mike was so nice he offered to meet us later that evening (hours after he closed) just so he could scan my car and try and give me an idea of what might be wrong. We met up with him at 8pm on a Friday evening and he was able to find out it was nothing serious and we would be able to drive back home without any issue. I came into town to purchase one of my dream vehicles. I wanted to make sure I did my due diligence and wanted to do a PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection). Being from out of town about 259 miles away to be exact. I needed to find a shop that A.) I could trust to do the job right and B.) Could get it done in time, considering I was only in town for 2 days. I found The AutoBahn and I'am so glad I did they accommodated me almost last minute. Mike was very thorough and knowledgeable. It was also nice that he checks you in through a phone text system. I was able to explore Templeton with my wife while I was getting the PPI. We had a bite to eat that Mike recommended and he was spot on with that place also! The AutoBahn texted me when it was done so we headed back. Upon arrival Mike explained to me some bad news about the car but overall mostly good news he showed me and explained a 2-3 page report with pictures of the condition of the vehicle . He said if he was in the market to purchase a Porsche he would purchase this one. I was very happy and had a big sigh of relief because I was really hoping it would all work out, it was a lot of logistics to figure out for this purchase but The AutoBahn made me feel relaxed like one of the regulars and took very good care of me. They made me feel like I could trust them to do any job, very honest shop with great prices! I actually came back the next day after I purchased the Porsche and had The AutoBahn do an oil change for me before I left on my drive back home. After a wonderful weekend with my girlfriend in Santa Cruz, we began our journey back down to LA. "What a perfect trip" we thought and exclaimed to each other repeatedly. At that moment, while traveling at 75 mph on the 46, my car made other plans. We ended up waiting 3 hours on the side of the road for AAA to tow my car to the nearest mechanic, and that happened to be The AutoBahn. I'm honestly very suspicious of car repair shops as I had been deceived in my past, but as soon as I met Mike and the other mechanic (I forgot his name; sorry!), I felt way more at ease. These guys know what they are talking about and are honest and hardworking. Not only did they identify the issue in my BMW quickly, they even offered to give us rides to our hotel, call Enterprise for us, and were just kind human beings. Never again! My son's car sat for months out on Main St. Electrical ignition problem that would drain the battery. I informed them of this. was told they would "warrenty" out a battery, what ever? Ignition cylinder replaced. Additional required service, coil wires ect. no call or any update. We picked up the car with a $220 charge for a new battery and a list of reccomended service and a dent in the fender. $2100 bill and the audacity to ask , " Are you happy with the service?" Check engine light on and running like it's missing. Do not bother, $179/ hr. NEVER AGAIN! read more

We were on our way from LA to Sonoma & while in Paso Robles we had some car problems / losing coolant . The shops working on German cars were v few . We called The AutoBahn around 10 AM on Monday morning & explained our problem & the fact that we stayed the night in Paso & if needed could stay the fallowing day until late afternoon . It was an urgent situation. What we heard was unbelievable by any stretch of imagination. We were told that they would be able to look & diagnose the car the following Monday !!! and after that they will order the necessary parts. This business doesn't know the word urgent / special circumstances, etc ... In any business there are regular appointments and urgent ones . This business might be good at fixing the cars but the caring for the customers & understanding special situations scores a big zero . We called The European Car Specialists & were told no appointment available for 1 week . When we explained our situation Simon told us to bring the car in . Next d at noon the car was ready ! We were on a little vacation in Paso Robles when our Mercedes' battery failed on a Saturday night. And because it's a Mercedes, it's not easy to replace. Ahh, the cost of ownership. There is no Mercedes dealership in Paso so we searched online and found The AutoBahn. What a GREAT find! I showed up at 8am on Monday and met with Mike (owner) and the office manager (his daughter). We can't thank Mike enough for going above and beyond and fitting us in on our RV trip.
